Braze had been immersing himself in the culture of the old through the gift of psychometry on Ossus. The ruins whispered to him, memories etched into broken stone and long-buried relics, granting flashes of a forgotten age. His studies often turned toward the lost sciences of lightsaber construction, particularly the obscure methods by which ancients forged and refined their components.

Yet, of late, his curiosity had wandered further afield. Beyond the blade, he had begun to pursue the elusive mysteries of alchemy and the more arcane practices of Force imbuement. In quiet solitude, he poured over his modest collection of fractured holocrons, minor repositories, but precious nonetheless, each one offering fragments of knowledge on arts long considered esoteric.

The texts spoke of weapons infused with living energy, such as the Force-imbued sword, and the subtle craft of imbuing items with protective or destructive resonance. Some detailed practices for attuning armor or shaping the Force into a weapon in its own right. Others delved into the more dangerous spheres of Sith alchemy and even stranger, half-whispered traditions of magic that blurred the line between faith and sorcery.

It was a perilous well of knowledge to draw from...but to Braze, it was also a path toward understanding.

Darth Engel’s ship dropped out of hyperspace just beyond the gravity well of the planet beneath her. Her ship didn’t appear to be anything special, it would appear to be a civilian freighter and little else. And even to a Jedi’s senses, the only person aboard did not allow herself to touch the force more than she absolutely had to. The only indication that this ship was at all out of the ordinary was the location itself, no one save Jedi came to Ossus.

The ship descended into the atmosphere and touched onto the ground with the usual sound of engaging hydraulics and the impact of durasteel on soft earth. Soon after the ramp lowered and Darth Engel stepped out. Her footfalls clacking metallically against the surface of the ramp, and her cloak falling loosely around her body.

Looking at her with the cloak on it would be almost comical, the large, angular shoulders of her armor making her body underneath the concealing layer look hilariously disproportionate to her head. Though she expected to be alone, so the front of her cloak was open to show that the extra bulk came from her armor.

Her yellow eyes scanned the immediate area. With her distance from the force, her preternatural senses were dulled, so she had to rely almost entirely on vision and her other, natural senses to alert her to danger. Finding none she continued on her way into the old ruins of the ancient Jedi order.

The Sith had their methods of alchemy and imbuement already, but the Jedi too had different techniques once ago that would expand the theory, and perhaps open some doors for her.

She was not aware of the Jedi in the ruins ahead of her. He would be able to approach her at his convenience, or observe her as he liked. She was unlikely to spot him. He would likewise however have a hard time sensing her, she was definitely there, but her presence in the force was minuscule, diminished. Deliberately reduced, and that made both her presence and her thoughts incredibly hard to read.

Braze didn't stir from his place among the scattered books and datapads. The encampment he had carved within the ruins of the great Jedi Library seemed to swallow him in quietude.

His pale eyes lifted only briefly as the woman disembarked in the distance, her steps carrying her into the dilapidated chamber he had claimed. No tension flickered across his features, no hand strayed to the weapon at his side. Visitors came often enough to Ossus now that surprise had long worn thin.

"…And what brings you here?" he asked at last, pen scratching once more against the page as though her presence were just another note among his studies.

The heavy boots of her armor usually produced a very loud, very distinctive clunk whenever her feet hit the ground beneath her, were now far more muffled thanks to the softer grass beneath her as she trod forward. The armor beneath her cloak likewise making some noise, muffled as it was, making all movements of hers distinctly audible. And making her easy to track even when her presence in the force was practically nonexistent. At the very least she would be utterly incapable of sneaking around.

Though it would seem that was likewise not his plan either.

The downside to not being connected very deeply with the force was that the usual powers of sensing other minds or precognition were entirely unavailable to her. So she did not sense his presence before he spoke to her. And the result was her reaching for her lightsaber when he spoke up. She was not so hasty as to draw and ignite it just yet, but her guard was very quickly up. The only people, according to her understanding, who came here were Jedi and occasionally other Sith, neither of whom were ever particularly friendly to her, one because they were her ideological enemy, the other because the Sith always sought to eliminate rivals.

Her eyes landed upon a jedi, seemingly too wrapped up in his own work to really look at her. Her hand released the hilt of her saber, but remained ready to draw it if she needed to.

"The same thing that everyone comes here for. Knowledge." She answered simply and vaguely.

“Knowledge regarding the enchanting of objects.” She replied, telling the truth but remaining vague. Something about this Jedi threw her off. And she wasn’t sure how to feel about this man in front of her. He seemed utterly unbothered by her presence, he didn’t even seem surprised.

Was it her paranoia talking? Maybe. But she was nonetheless wary of this person.

"Well if you're looking for books or data vaults most of those no longer exist here. Just broken decayed remnants of the past really is what's left. " He offered simply and move to place his book aside. "Got something you wish to enchant?"
