Family Matters (Sovereign Family)

"Royal Families Are All The Same." - Winter

All her observations were correct, every single one of them, for The Queen appeared shrunken into herself somehow, a percentage of that disturbing solidity she portrayed sometimes as though she had no blood vessels or organs beneath the womans flesh simply vanished, and she seemed almost to retreat into her cold body. Her eyes, if possible, were more dead than usual, more ill. Her expression cold and distant as she merely stared ahead thinking...contemplating. Thinking of this political game she often found herself playing...the liars. Politicians were mythological creatures because none of them were 'truthful'.

When a smile was displayed, eerily, displaying a clean toothpaste grin, the grin of an accomplished politician sending poor young men to die far from home, each pointed little dagger an individual threat, a glitter bursting like a supernova in her mind's eye. And as The Queen sat lazily upon her broken throne those ice cold eyes wandered...it had been a long time since she visited the Pillar of Ascension. It still felt alive...bustling with young witches and warlocks studying the magical arts...the ship was often open to the public. Home to anyone who wished to learn and evolve...and here she was as its headmaster...their Queen. And as she closed her eyes and took a breath and exhaled, the coldness of the room entering her lunges. Mist lingering within the large empty room as The Queen sat in solitude...in darkness. Almost four hundred years and she was still alone...sitting within a room with nothing but her thoughts to keep her company.

And as the silhouette of The Queen lingered in the darkness all that could be seen were piercing blue optics staring through the darkness...and as Winter wondered what her next move would be she slowly tapped her fingers along the arm of her throne. What to conquer next...who do dominate.

The Queen was at it again. Scheming...planning the next step for her small empire of elusiveness.

Audience...welcome to the family.

"We've found her."

All of her spies, her informants, had led her to this point to this terrible ship and this terrible cold once again. Throughout a network of informants dispatched as soon as the youngest Sovereign had fled into the darker reaches of space, rumor had finally returned with a verified sighting of the ruler of the realm of winter, long missing from her home world and her family. Now, standing in this ship with the hum of the Force echoing from those seeking training in arcane arts, Summer could nearly feel her sister's presence as deeply as she felt this cold. Her footsteps rang out in the silence that had settled since the Sovereign's ship had docked and the sisters had departed. Summer had little patience for humans or any of the other species who had gawked at the Sheikah who emerged into the docking bay from their cruiser. Her entire focus was on locating their long lost sister, gone from their world since that terrible day that had been filled with screams and blood and ice.

A grimace blossomed on her lips, breaking the serene mask that she had cultivated over the centuries. She had forgotten the cold her sister could produce, the ice and snow common to the northern lands had been forgotten, blocked from her memory as much as she could. Idly, she rubbed at where her prosthesis met her arm under her sleeve, a sharp pain pricking at it from under the connective sensors. A flare of old bitterness rose within her, fueling the growing storm that had settled in her stomach. It had been so long, so many years, and yet here were the Sovereign sisters, about to be reunited.

Summer had distanced herself from her other sisters after Winter's departure, becoming quieter, sharper, more severe in her pain. The kindness that was shown to the public and to her trusted friends no longer reserved entirely for family, that trust having been broken in one quick snap of bone and ice. Retreating to her own lands, to her own home to heal in her own ways. Her anger became sharper, her kindness more pronounced for her own people, and less attention given to all those not within her court. It had taken time, so much time, for Summer to hear her youngest sister's name without feeling the cold seep into her bones and the pain of the thaw.

Faced now with the possibility of a family reunited, she felt all of that again, and a terrible hope that things might return to how they were. She was unsure which would be worse.

Footsteps echoed in the misty quiet, Summer keeping her lips pressed in a firm and stern line as they approached the doors to the throne room. She raised her hands to the doors and frowned when she found them cold to the touch. She flinched slightly, drawing her hand back before steeling herself. The chill had begun to seep into her skin from under her white and black jacket and with a calming breath, full of heat and the fire she controlled, she opened the doors. She did not look back at the sisters who followed her, taking on this knowing that the woman inside was as much changed as they all were since her departure.

The doors slide open silently, mist rolling past them as the air currents made the trails of cool air dance around her feet. Summer's skin practically steamed, it's temperature at odds with the change in climate in the room. The blonde, regal in all things, strode forward, her gaze locked on to the figure at the other end f the throne room. Silence other than their footsteps settled into the room as if it too was holding its' breath to see where these pieces would fall.

"It's been too long...sister."

"Yes we have, thanks for that statement, Miss Sunshine!"
Autumn was just joking of course at the last remark, giving Summer a new nickname. It's what Autumn commonly did, joking and playing around, so it was to no surprise that she gave Summer a new name. Though, after not seeing Summer in such a long time, she wasn't sure how she would react...though Autumn was positive that Summer wouldn't mind the nickname. It had been far too long since Autumn had seen either Summer or Spring...making it rather pleasant to see them once more with her own very two Hazel-Brown & Cinder Eyes. She wanted to embrace both Summer and Spring after so many centuries of being apart...though she knew better than to do that. It was selfish to act so happy when they needed to do something so needed.

It had been 4 centuries since Autumn had seen Winter, though it felt just like yesterday. As she was still dealing with the grief, pain and anger about Winter leaving. Though, Autumn did slowly begin to heal from the trauma that happened 4 centuries ago, she had healed emotionally but not physically as she hadn't been hurt physically...only emotionally. Will, to be honest...she had been hurt accidentally during the fight...though not as much as Summer was. But, that wasn't important. Autumn had to stop thinking about what happened in the past and focus on the future! Autumn had always loved and cared about Winter back then...she had tried hard to befriend Winter and play with Winter a lot...though it was hard at times. But, despite what happened 4 centuries ago, with Summer losing her arm and Winter leaving...she still did love Winter. She loved Winter as if they were mere children again, exploring the world for the first time and playing games.

As selfish as it sounded, Autumn wanted to start over. To be with Winter again when times were easy and fun...when nothing bad had happened to their family. When...they still each loved each other despite the little fights they would have every now and then. Autumn...just wanted everything to go back to normal...or as normal as it could be ever since what happened 4 centuries ago. She hoped, she wanted them to heal. No matter what happened...she wanted them to be whole...and no longer cracked and broken apart like a broken plate.

By the time Autumn had finished thinking about everything that had happened, they were practically at the throne room. Along the way, she had noticed Humans, Zabraks, along with other species of force sensitives alike walking along their way...along with some staring at them as they walked towards the throne room. They had voluntarily moved out of the way as they walked along which did slightly puzzle Autumn though it wasn't that of a great degree. The ship was massive, that was a given. Huge on both the outside and inside...as if it were a large maze with dozens of interesting rooms yet unlike a maze...it held visible exits and even signs to help people find their way. Autumn had to admit, she did like the place. Though...she wasn't sure if she should say it out loud. Out of fear of what Summer would do...after all, she figured that Summer still hated Winter though she wasn't exactly sure.

Once they were inside of the throne room, Autumn saw what appeared to be Winter sitting in the dark upon a throne. Autumn wasn't 100% positive it was Winter, but she was pretty sure it was due to the eyes that glowed in the dark. The same eyes of the Winter she used to know. Against her better judgement, she took a few steps forwards in the room, to where her back was draped in light from the now open doorway but her front was draped in darkness like the rest of the room.
"Winter! It's been too long..."

Across the metaphorical landscape of Winters mentality raged a thundering storm fed by anticipation. On the outside she often moved with disinterest and general lack of motive, her head was never held high...and her legs never seemed to really rise to bring her feet off the ground… within she weathered the tempest of self destruction mixed misery. For the centuries it had taken for Winter to grow, for Winter to understand her purpose, to remain hidden and carefully educated, there had always been a chance of failure. Success was the only option left to The Queen, growth a coveted and hoarder aspect. It would begin with the child and end with absolute control and power. From the void emptiness of space she'd cultivate a civilization that fed on the agony of those who had once thought them weak and inactive. This was the start, this precious moment of silence shared between functional Eyes and rising empire.

Her empire.

And if it went wrong, so would her pitiful empire.

The Queen was immune to being nervous, she just had experience with hiding it. Her heart indeed remained cold and silent...her breath steady. Her expression that of open disinterest as they neared the Acropolis. How many kings had pledged their loyalty to her? How many queens had she dethroned? There was no way to wash the blood from her hands, no way to ease the haunting voices that collected and traversed the space above her head—their songs alluring and teasing, stirring up memories best left buried. Winter had weaved her a tale of political power and dominance? Her evil did not come mindlessly...it was not meditated evil...it was not sadistic evil. The Queen only committed evils when it was beneficial for her to do so. In the end she was a necessary evil.

But in this galaxy filled with chaotic evils and liars, which of them was the monster and which the slayer?

Her idle thoughts were only a distraction, something best left to midnight hours and lonely brooding. For now, she was filled with purpose. For now, she had the drive. She’d keep her crooked crown...though she'd never place it upon her head.

She was a Queen by principle...by policy. Not by birthright...And perhaps someone would be brave enough to snatch the crown from her cold dead hands...

No, she’d destroy them all before such notions came to pass. She was not the fragile girl she was all those years ago.

And as time passed, The Queens peace was soon disturbed...a force had rippled through her mind...a presence so foreign yet so familiar to her at once. It made the white haired woman clench the arm of her throne as she grimaced...she knew this feeling.

Warmth...Kindness...Love.

These words left a bad taste in The Queens mouth. Her eyes wandering over the cold metal doors before her as they were suddenly forced open...the mist which had danced all around her flushed outward into the open halls of Ascension.

The light from the halls shed only a little of its radiance upon the floor of the throne room floors...forcing the cold mist to retreat from its warmth as three women levitated in the doorway...

Three...

Winters cold eyes narrowed when the word sister was muttered...

Sister?

Winters sisters were dead...

Dead to her.

And as the second stepped forward and also expressed what Winter could only assume was happiness for seeing her again The Queen merely scoffed in disgust.

They...after four hundred years. Had the courage, the drive...audacity...to stand before The Queen? Winter had spent her entire adult life...fantasizing about how each and every one of them would die...the idea of them suffering as much as she sung her to sleep at night like a dark lullaby...she had even contemplated on using her resources to destroy her home...but after so long Winter stopped caring. They were not worth the effort.

Winters gaze remained fixed on the one in the center...the one with wings and hair dipped in gold...Summer. The Queen held a special disdain for her in particular...it was not hatred...it was not fury...it was not even sadness. No...

Winter was disgusted. The sight of such filth made her sick...it made her ill. And as Winter remained seated...not a single motion visible as her icy eyes just stared ahead at the trash before her. They probably expected a response...some reaction from their lost sister...but they were barely worth a simply glance...barely. If they came here to hear Winters voice...to see her face...to make her smile. They would be sourly disappointed.

A long time indeed it was...and Winter could die happy...if it had been longer.

The little creature sat by the artificial river bank laying calmly on the warm sands made within her ship, enjoying the sight of endless space over the stream. The was a cozy little room filled with various plants and little wildlife. It roamed freely around and the thought was how could this be so on the outskirts of space? By the nurturing power of Spring. The little creature scurried up her long pinkish leg, up the curves of her waist to her hand. The woman let out a light giggle as she gave it a light pet and little kiss on the head. "Enjoying our journey? Little one?" She asked the little creature. In turn, it turned its little head and nuzzled against its master. It was a rare thing for Spring to leave her home, but then again it was a rare occasion. To think it has been four hundred years, though, to many that would four lifetimes if not more, seemed like only a few years to their kind since she had heard any word from her youngest sibling, Little Winter, all the same, it has been far too long. How has so grown since then? Has she been safe? It was a worrying thought to think that she has been so alone and isolated.

The thought of Winter made Spring's chest fill with sadness. Spring lifted the little creature gently and looked at the little creature letting out a sigh and a visible pout. "I wonder if she has changed and has better control of her powers now." She spoke to the little creature then thought of little winter accidently killing all of her plants and flowers. The pinkish woman grew to a redder tone at on her cheeks, though, she huffed and she puffed and she let it all out. "I'm sure she has." She woman said as she rolled over her leaf-like bed. "Summer and Autumn have calmed down a bit over the years too...They changed for the better." She said out loud thinking to herself as she kept the little creature raised up in the air then lowered it back down giving it another sweet little kiss on the head. Regardless she was worried for her sisters as well Summer having distancing herself to hide the pain of their lost sister and Autumn as well, though, Spring got to see them much more frequently as oppose to Winter being completely out of their lives for so long. "Oh, little Winter...I missed you." She whispered to herself little out a weak giggle hiding the sadness and worry for all those years.

"Milady." A grunt stated as he entered her room giving her a deep and loyal bow. Catching the woman off guard in her little thought bubble, she squealed a bit launching the little critter into the air only to catching it again. Spring quickly composed herself elegantly and gave a wave from her hand to signal to him to continue. The grunt stifled a small chuckled continued with his report. "We are nearing the ship." He paused for a moment and looked down to glance at the paper to make sure of the name. "The..Pillar of Ascension. That is where Winter Sovereign is located, Milady." He stated. Spring gave the grunt a small smile showing only her elegance, while deep within she was relieved to hear that they have finally found her. The grunt felt as if he was melting by the warmth of her smile almost as if he was getting drunk, for a moment, he was distracted before hearing a call from the main bay. "We have received word that your sisters have already arrived." After hearing this, Spring let out yet another sigh and waved her hand to signaled him to leave. "I am sure..." She whispered to herself. "That they haven't got into it yet..."

Spring placed her hand into the cooling water taking in all the minerals and nutrients she needed. 'Mmmph...' She let out as she stood up and walked out. It did not take too much longer for her and her escort to be led to the throne room, though she remained poised and strong, looking at each witch and warlock with a commanding demure, she was excited to see all the movement and hustle of the studying witches and warlocks were making. All these people were with her all this, was she ever truly alone then? It made Spring happy to see she had all these people with her. 'So...You weren't completely alone....That's good.' Spring thought to herself and placed a hand on her chest where her heart was, then thought. "No...You were never alone." Spring loved her sisters no more than the other; all equally. Though their mother and father weren't really around, they had them too. It was time for the Sovereigns to become one once more. As she entered the cold hall of the throne room, she took a moment to let everything really sink in and looked over at each of her sisters. Feeling a cold tone especially from Winter, Spring lightened and calmed the aura, without the use of her pheromones or the use of her force abilities. Just open arms and loving smile.

"My lovely little sisters...How I missed all of you."

Summer's eyes narrowed slightly at Winter's disdain, brow raising at the insolence. She knew her sister might be in pain, might harbor ill will towards them still, and the drop in temperature in the room certainly attested for it. With a roll of her shoulders, she summoned warmth, practically steaming with it now to drive back the childish display of cold mist still coming from her sister's throne.

The wings at her back meant to help keep her aloft fluttered slightly, dropping her to the ground. Her boots were weighted. After the loss of her arm she refused to let any of her other limbs become weak. As soon as she could she began working the muscles in her legs to keep her grounded when not in flight. Her people appreciated her humility, to be on the ground, she appreciated the strength it made her feel after the trauma this particular sister wrought.

As her sisters stepped forward as well, Spring and her calming presence, and autumn with her cheerful nature, Summer kept her eyes leveled on the figure in the makeshift throne.

Her sister did not speak, but Summer knew well enough what power silence held in a court and this was Winter's court, so to speak. Filled with witches and warlocks and those training themselves in the Force, but Winter presided over them all the same. Summer could respect that, but the sheer fact that her littlest sister had tried to form a new home away from them when they had been trying to find her made her frown, her teeth clenched. As if Winter was the only one hurt in all this. Her fingers twitched, both her real and the prosthesis. However, their family must be made whole and Summer knew that they both had a part to play in the pain that had been caused. She was ready to return her sister home.

"Sisters, I would hate to draw this out longer, away from home," She said, stepping forward. "We've come to bring you home, little sister." She pointedly spoke ot Winter here. Autumn was a good girl, naive, perhaps, frustrating as little sisters were with silly nicknames, but Summer loved her the same, in her own way.

"You've been away too long, Winter. It's time to come home and be with family." Summer said, extending an open hand, offering it to the make-shift queen.

Autumn watched Winter as she sat there upon her throne for a few seconds, her eyes scanning Winters face as a beam of light slowly traversed the room…showing parts of Winters face. And what she saw…saddened her, it was disgust and disinterest, though Autumn hid her sadness before anyone would even notice. As she had grown accustomed to doing so after being secluded from her sisters during the last 4 centuries. Especially being secluded from Summer. Autumn…looked up to Aummer like an idol to become one day…though everything changed after what happened. She hated being ignored…especially by her idol. She remembered wanting to be just like her when she was older…though, now…it was different

Ever since then, Autumn began to look up to Spring…her calm and peaceful nature, how she loved everything and everyone. Over the 4 centuries they were separated…Autumn improved upon her personality. Instead of thinking about herself, she took others into account. Which…she did rather enjoy. One such thing she did, despite how unorthodox it might've been at the time…was remove the organ that allowed her to levitate. Autumn hated flying…and she believed that she should just be like the common people…rather than try to be something high and mighty. Plus…levitation was rather dull…never really being able to feel sand or grass beneath your feet. Sure…you still could do that…its just, Autumn didn't believe that levitation helped with anything or could actually benefit her in any way

Once Autumn heard Springs voice, she turned and smiled towards her before turning around. Then, she heard Winter Scoff at what she said. Not what Summer said, not what Spring said……but what she said! Autumn couldn't help but sigh, hurt in response. Her mouth twisted into a gloomy expression for a few seconds after contemplating what Winter said She didn't normally display her feelings physically, though her body movements and vocal sigh showed Spring and Summer how she felt about what Winter just did. Sure…it was just a little thing, but Autumn was still rather naive about the whole galaxy…and it didn't help any that she commonly bottled up her emotions

Though, despite this, Autumn refused to let it affect her. Autumn took a few more steps forward towards Winter…walking in front of Summer unconsciously in response. She refused to think this was the Winter she used to know. The one she used to hang out and play with. Autumn now took a few more steps closer towards Winter. She was so close now to Winter, she could feel the cold penetrating her skin…sending shivers down her spin. If Winter was corrupt now, she could very well get injured by Winter though she doubted that would happen. Besides, if it did…she would see it coming. Before talking aloud once more to Winter, she took off her black rimmed sunglasses with orange lenses before tucking them into her pants pocket. Autumns voice was soft as it came out, yet still carried authority and volume as to be heard.
"Winter, look it's me…Autumn! Please…come back with us, we miss you! Remember the fun times we had?!"

The cruel gaze that ripped through the silence as her sisters stood before her was not fire, hot and destructive and bright, but ice – cold, incapacitating, dangerous in how it hid and brought its own brand of injury and death slowly, carefully. One would eat you alive while you screamed, and the other would drag you slowly into that dark night with your breath growing shallower and your eyes closing, then fluttering open, defenseless. It was inescapable.

Winter considered this as her sisters approached. Smiles on their faces...hope in their hearts. Hope that The Queen may soften...that maybe after all these years she had forgiven them as they had regretted their actions...hope that their beloved baby sister was willing to forgive and forget...Winter could see it...the hope in their eyes.

Their false hope.

All this time...and Winter only hated them more and more with each passing day.

And could they really be surprised?

And then Summer began to speak. Winter remained at a distance and she would stare at her directly, blinking only when necessary, and certainly not if she met her gaze. There was no grin on either of their faces, and that was so uncharacteristic for Summer that even she felt somewhat odd. Her introduction wasn’t unexpected. Everybody knew Winter was gone for so long, The Sovereign had been missing for ages now – over four centuries, possibly five. It couldn’t be denied any longer. So their desire to have their sister return did make sense...

If winter was still their sister...

Those icy eyes lifted again as Autumn then stepped forward, and in them there was so much unspoken. Knowledge. Anger. But more than any of that – disdain. It burned in him as he stared at the Fall Maiden, willing her to meet The Queens gaze, to understand that she saw clear through their ruse, that she wouldn’t fall for it in an instant.

Good times...what had better been a joke. Otherwise...they were asking to feel Winters wrath.

Because now they had to know. Their sister was not some simple monarch... now she was an enigma, something no one could decipher. Everyone thought they'd figured her out. So many had watched Winter stalk the galaxy, amass her followers, garner loyalty, command fire and fangs and friendship.

It seemed they did not know who Winter was anymore...their sources so limited...so small. Winter always wanted to know things. Knowledge was so powerful that most couldn’t even comprehend how useful it could be – but Winter had always valued it, held her secrets close, her thoughts closer. Winter painted a shadowy picture – every time someone looked at it, they'd see something different, and whenever they shifted, so did the image.

Eventually that canvass would not be as smudged. But before then – they would have to understand her.

And so she would wait, sitting there, staring at them. She would meet their eyes. Silent and unsmiling and unflinching, until she moved.

One leg lifted off the knee of the other...The Queens feet touching the ground as she pulled herself up lazily...as if she were tired...standing up with her back slouched and those long white strands hanging messily in her visage as she stared forward...

Step...by step...she would inch her way into the light...the warmth of it was dispelled by Winters aura...her features revealed as she stood before Summer...staring at her extended hand for a moment as The Queen merely frowned.

Her appearance was so...different from her sisters. Summer...dressed in the garbs of her realm...so elegant and proper...Autumn dressed in such a way it made it obvious she was wealthy...and Spring...Spring carried herself with her own version of grace and beauty.

And yet Winter...she looked awful. Hair messy and undone...her eyes low with bags under her eyes...a thin sleeveless shirt with the under ripped out. A black bra visible from under her arms...black pants and a pair of worn out brown leather boots. The idea of such a woman being Queen was hard to accept. And yet Despite that she still managed to dominate...

And as her cold eyes wandered over that extended hand Winter slowly lifted her own...reaching out ever so slowly as if she were going to take her hand...but just as their fingers touched Winter grimaced...she remembered what her hands where capable of...how tight her grip could be. And with that painful memory of her life being strangled from her surfaced as did an even sadder memory...one she pushed away.

Winter instead placed her hand on top of Summers...and lifting her gaze to look her in the eyes...Winter pushed Summers hand down. Rejecting her offer...rejecting her sisters...rejecting her family. Winter rejected it all...and when Summers hand was pulled down below her waist, Winter simply scowled at her.

Perfect...big...sister. Did you really think...it would be that easy?

Winter's touch was frigid, as cold as marble. Summer kept her features schooled to be one of peace, of calmness that exuded nothing more than quiet acceptance. The touch sent spirals of pain down her left arm, or at least what was left of it. She did not flinch nor did she pull away, allowing her sister to push her hand down, effectively resisting her offer. A scowl emerged on Winter's lovely face, one so recognizable that Summer blinked, the only sign of her perfect mask breaking. Winter was always an unhappy child, perhaps due to her station as ruler of such a frozen realm, and Summer had seen her scowl before, usually at Summer's words or actions.

There was a time when Summer loved her little sister. Loved her deeply and without question, only a squalling baby in their mother's arms. She had been so small, so piercingly loud that Summer had been in awe of such a tiny thing having that much power in her voice. Autumn had been quite the same, but their youngest sister was Summer's opposite in all things, which made her all the more forbidden and all the more curious. When summer had been younger, more naive, she had thought to herself fiercely. It won't matter. I love her, and she'll love me. We're sisters; Forever and Always.

How wrong she had been. She may have loved her sister, all of her sisters really, but she understood quite well that it would not be so easy t convince others, to overcome the stigma of winter and ice and snow. Her people feared the frost; she knew Spring's people did too though Spring had always kept her arms open to all in that infuriatingly loving way. Summer knew her eldest sister meant no harm by it, but her easy loving way gained her far more affection than Summer could hope to as easily.

Winter, however, had become a problem when she was installed in her realm. The people of the nearly endless plains of summer had grown nervous of a powerful new ruler of the icy kingdom and Summer had tried her best to calm them, reminding them that she was her sister, that nothing would happen as long as Summer protected them. A visit from a young Winter had caused near panic and Summer steeled herself, straightened her spine, and never invited Winter back to her realm again. She understood the necessity, no matter how much it pained her at first. Seeing her youngest sister in pain was not something she had ever wished, yet she had caused it all the same.

When the fighting began between them Summer had hoped at first that the anger would break, and Winter would calm herself once she said, or rather screamed her piece. It hadn't happened. Summer had tried to restrain her, to keep her from becoming the terrible Snow Queen her people feared her sister to be. It had been a catastrophic mistake to engage in her fighting, but it would not take back any of the blood. It would not give her back her arm.

And here she was, a ragged Queen of a ship of witches and vagabonds. Sumer was mild comforted by the fact that her sister had not fallen into disrepair and disarray as badly as she feared. Despite her choice of attire, Winter was alive and well enough to lead. She should be well enough to return to her home, to her lands, and become the ruler she was meant to be in the first place, at her sister's side.

Winter's refusal had sparked the first flames of anger boiling in Summer's core. She exhaled slowly, steam and a flicker of light between her teeth sparks dancing as she reigned it back in.

She leveled her gaze at her sister, a smile turning up the corners of her mouth, though her eyes were tired, weary of this game already.

"You have a beautiful new kingdom, I understand," She said, her voice quieter, warmer. "I wonder if you're hiding the arm you ripped from me somewhere within these halls." It was a low blow, a sickening thing to accuse her sister of, but Summer's forgiveness only went so far and if this was how Winter wanted to play this, so be it.

Autumn's Hazel-Brown & Cinder eyes watched Winter as she sat upon her cold metal throne for a few seconds. She could feel the cool icy presence within the room touch her skin and clothing, leaving a thin layer of frost upon certain parts of clothing. The frost was a light blue mixed with a thick ivory making the frost appear to be a thin blanket of a strange yet beautiful mixture of Ice and Snow. Just like Winter. Winter was and acted weird at times, but that's what made her so lovable and beautiful. And Autumn, will she approved of this when they were younger and still did to this day. Though, she knew when something was wrong. As the pressure in the room increased, from a neutral pressure and emotion to a thick pressure with light amounts of hate and pain...Autumn just hoped that it wouldn't be like what happened last time with Winter and Summer. And, if it was going in that specific direction...Autumn had, no she needed to stop it before anyone got hurt. Well, at least any more hurt.

Autumn caught onto Winter as she walked down the steps of the throne, ignoring both Autumn and Spring apparently as if they were invisible and walking towards Summer. In response, Autumn half walked half ran back to where Summer was and stood off to the side diagonally, watching the exchange between Winter and Summer. Then something happened, something expected yet unexpected at the same time. As if it were meant to happen yet as if it was never supposed to be that way. Winter had rejected Summer's offer. Winter...she had rejected to come back home with them. Autumn then caught something she hadn't expected, out of everything that she had thought of would happen here with her overactive imagination...this was not one of them.

Autumn saw hints of Smoke and Ember ignite from the interior if Summer's mouth. Of course Summer would react this way, after all Winter had unintentionally cut off Summer's arm in the struggle many centuries ago. Though being in earshot...she hadn't expected Summer to say that of all things. Out of everything Summer could've said, she decided to strike low. Possibly fracturing the already cracked relationship Summer had with Winter. After hearing this particular comment, Autumn's eyes narrowed in disgust towards Summer. Her thin eyebrows burrowing downwards...angling her eyes towards Summer with a slight scowl upon her face as well...though some of the darkness in the room his the scowl in question from view. Though, the scowl was only hidden slightly through the darkness...as it was both bright and dark. Like Summer and Winter, Summer being either Light or Dark, while Winter also being either Light or Dark. Two opposing forces, battling for dominance, vengeance and domination out of the cold blue of the galaxy.

Again, Autumn decided to take a chance with Winter...ignoring her subconscious in the process along with ignoring Summer as well. She didn't care if Summer hated her if she tried to be nice and compassionate to Winter. Autumn figured it wouldn't work, as displayed by what was currently happening...but she just wanted to at the least...try! All she wanted was her sister, Winter, who she loved so much...back safe and sound. Autumn's voice didn't sound desperate or broken as she talked, but compassionate and trying to sound helpful and reassuring. "Winter...look, ignore Summer...just, try to forgive us for what we've done to you. Forgive Summer despite how hard it must be. Trust me, I know how hard it is to forgive someone, and I'm not talking about forgiving you...I already did that a long time ago. Winter...just, please reconsider your choice...if you don't want to come back, we're not going to force you to do so!"

There was tension lingering in the air around them as Winters icy gaze remained fixated on the Summers golden orbs...the blond woman would of been wise to simply let Winter live the rest of her life alone and bitter...because seeing her sisters here did nothing but make her fury slowly rise to the surface of her stone cold exterior. And as Summer simply leveled her own eyes and smiled warmly Winters scowl remained...the compliment on her 'kingdom' made Winter blink. Beauty was not a word she would use to describe it...

And yet, right after she struck low...so low that Winters expression softened...cracked...The Queen breathed in quickly as she lowered her eyes to the floor...

That was the difference between Winter and Summer...it always was. For no matter how much Winter hated her sisters...no matter how much she despised them and wanted to see them suffer...not even she...would say something like that. And the fact Summer had...only told The Queen that she was not sorry...she did not care. She was not patient enough to sympathize with her younger, hurting sibling. No...she was here on political business it seemed...official business. No family...no emotions...no compassion.

Its what Winter survived on for so many centuries...so much so she had lost her humanity.

Autumn tried to rebound...telling Winter she did not have to go back if she didn't want to...but Winters ears seemed to ring deafeningly. Giggles and laughter swirling within her mind as she remembered her children...her kin...the life she had brought into this world only to see it ripped away from the cold clutches of the galaxy.

Winter felt something at that moment...as those memories burned into the back of her eyelids painting a vivid picture of her daughters tombs...she felt regret...and in all these years when she blamed herself she looked into Summers eyes and knew who was truly to blame.

It was their fault...it was all their fault. They were to blame...and they didn't even care.

The Queen grimaced as her expression shifted into something that had never been seen since she left home...hurt...pain...internal struggle.

"You...try to murder me...for wanting nothing but your love, approval, and acceptance...you...disown me...for four hundred years...you let me watch my daughters die...because they did not know the home their mother came from...the aunts they wanted to meet...because rather you accept it or not they died because they never knew the home of their ancestors...and this hole in their hearts resulted in them seeking one elsewhere..." Winter began, tightening her grip on Summers wrist as tears began to stream down Winters emotionless face.

"My little girls...my babies...are dead...my heart is cold...and you have the audacity...to come here...demand forgiveness...mock me...and not once apologize for what you did to me." Winter mused, her voice cracking as agony settled in her soul. "You haven't changed...you don't care...you did not care then and i was a fool to think you'd care now." Winter finished, grinding her teeth and letting go of her wrist.

Winters hands lifted quickly and her palms were quickly slammed into Summers chest with blinding speed and power...strength rivaling that off a Wookie as Winter attempted to push her sister to the floor.

"GET OUT! ALL OF YOU!" Winter roared, the temperature in the room becoming so cold that the steel surrounding them became a ghostly white. "If i ever see any of you again...i will not only destroy you...i will obliterate our Nocturne...i will raid our ancestral home and slaughter every single citizen to cling to for power...i will watch the palace you rejected me in crumble...and i will destroy the Sovereign Family...including myself." Winter hissed in fury, her fist clenching as she stared at Summer as the tears that dripped from her cheeks froze into ice drops before they hit the ground.

"December...Polaris...Iceis...Aurora. Remember those names sister...because their blood is on you." She growled...her knees growing weak at the mention of her daughters...the little girls she had to bury...she could feel her knees turn to melting wax as she collapsed onto the floor...on her hands and knees as she closed her eyes...gripping the metal floor as she sobbed...the agonizing emotions she had severed from herself all returning at once and wracking her body viciously. She could feel her heart...'beat'. And it hurt...The Queen hunched over and screamed in pain as she pressed her head into the floor and wrapped her arm around herself as the other held her up on the ground.

"Their blood...their...blood...its all on you...its on you...its...its..." Winter paused...crying violently as she balled her hand into a fist. "It's on me...it's all...my fault...i killed...my babies....My...little...girls..." She sobbed...her throat sore as she trembled.

Who audience...who was truly to blame? There had to be someone...there just had to be...right?
