I have an idea: a sapper droid that can disable power generators (in remembrance of Coruscant). What kind of Alliance-friendly droid manufacturer could build these?

However there are two different meanings to the term sapper droid: either you're talking about a droid that can drain energy sources or a droid that is used for combat engineering (the latter is more of a Techno Empire thing however).

Sapper is An term for for Combat engineer Army ranger even the tap worn on their uniform says sapper like this one.

In canon I have seen the term sapper droid refer to both a droid capable of draining a power source and a droid used for combat engineering.

Probably better to dust off my old idea of a power droid capable of recharging blaster powerpacks... it symbolized the logistics and the blackout at once.
