Olivia Dem'adas
Chief of Clan Dem'adas
Up until 296BBY, the Nagai were a peaceful culture on the planet of Nagi with beautiful cities of gleaming crystal and wire.
The Nagi government consisted of a cast system of social circles into which individual Nagai were born. These circles were broken down into a series of sub-circles from which advancement was possible through tests of physical talens. At the height of their technological achievement, the Nagai had just discovered the techology of hyperspace and sent an unmanned probe to chart their five-planet star system.
A Tof warship would pick up this probe on their sensors and track its course back to Nagi. Finding the Nagai unprepared for an attack, the Tof immediately unleashed an invasion force against the Nagai. Proving to be fierce fighters, the Nagai inflicted severe casualties upon the invading Tof. An act that would not go unpunished by the victorious Tof. Enslaving many Nagai as they occupied the planet of Nagi, the Tof would continue to fight the Nagai on the occupied world for over 300 years.
During this time, the Nagai became highly militarized. They devoted oll their resources to improving their defenses and attack forces, vowing never again to be found helpless by a superior force. To this end, they formed an alliance with Maccabree warriors and Faruun ship-builders.
In 4ABY, the conflict that stretched across the main galaxy was winding down as the Rebellion struck a huge blow to the Galactic Empire with the death of Emperor Palpatines. That same year, the Nagai would seek to escape the constant war and enslavement of their homeworld by invading and conquering large sections of the main Galaxy, a place they called the Skyriver. However, the Tof would prove to be unwilling to allow the Nagai and their alliance of other conquered species to escape them. Following the Nagai Alliance to the main galaxy, the Tof would prove enough of a threat to get the Alliance of Free Planets, the Mandalorians, the Nagai Expeditionary Fleet, and the remnants of the Galactic Empire to join together to defeat the Pirate Kingdom's raiding fleets.
After pushing the Tof out of the main galaxy, the Mandalorians under Mand'alor Fenn Shysa would join with the Nagai Expeditionary Force and travel back to companion galaxy Firefist to help the Nagai reclaim their homeworld from the Tof.
Successful in their efforts in companion galaxy Besh (also known as Firefist), Mand'alor Fenn Shysa and his Mandalorian Protectors would return home to Mandalore. However, part of their culture would remain with the people of Nagi and the Tofs as a handful of individual Mandalorians would stay in Firefist. Like any religion, the Mandalorian culture would spread among the members of the Nagai Alliance and the Tof Kingdom over the 846 years since Nagi was freed from Tof occupation. Today, thousands of Mandalorians exist in Companion Galaxy Besh and are comprised of numerous species. Nagai and Tof are equally represented as Mandalorians, with numerous Maccabree, Humans, and Faruun also calling themselves Mandalorians of Besh.
Viewed with mistrust by the bulk of the Tof Kingdom.
Viewed with open and friendly intentions by the Nagai Alliance.
Tof Kingdom and Nagai Alliance are still openly opposed to one another.
In recent years, the lost Clan of Dem'adas has escaped their entrapment in Otherspace only to become trapped in Firefist. Unable to break through a blockade of Sharuka Imperial Warships and return to their home in the main galaxy, this Clan attempts to unify the Mandalorians of Besh to help them in their desire to "Return to the Skyriver".
Finding the Besh Mandalorians to be a fragmented people in open conflict with one another due to old racial hatreds, Clan Dem'adas forms friendships with numerous groups of Mandalorians and teachds them of the 'Clan' system used by their cousins in the Skyriver. Eventually able to call together an Alor'e Council meeting with the leaders of all the major and minor groups of Mandalorians in Besh, Olivia Dem'adas convinces these leaders to put aside their old hatreds and unify as one people.
