The following is the current castes, ranks within, and hierarchy of the Yuuzhan Vong Empire:​

Supreme Overlord
The grand leader of the Yuuzhan Vong and the Head of State of the Empire. The position is classified as a monarch, and is the Yuuzhan Vong's link to their gods, and the only one capable of addressing Yun-Yuuzhan. There is only one rank, Supreme Overlord, which is part of the warrior caste (see below).

Shaper Caste
The shaper caste are responsible for creating all things used by the Yuuzhan Vong. They are considered the equivalent of bioengineers and scientists. They are ranked very highly in Yuuzhan Vong society. The caste has the following ranks: Master Shaper, Shaper Adept & Shaper Initiate.

Priest Caste
The priest caste are those who are chosen to speak for the gods, save for Yun-Yuuzhan. They also take the auguries to see if the gods will favor warriors in battle. Considered one of the most powerful castes in Yuuzhan Vong society. The caste has the following ranks: Most High Priest(ess), High Priest(ess), Priest(ess), Seer & Novice.

Warrior Caste
The warrior caste serve as the armies of the Yuuzhan Vong and is one of the largest castes who essentially serve as the military branch of the Yuuzhan Vong Empire. Considered one of the standard castes in Yuuzhan Vong society, however the Warmaster is considered second only to the Supreme Overlord socially. The caste has the following ranks: Warmaster, Supreme Commander, Commander, Subcommander, Subaltern & Warrior.

Intendant Caste
The Intendant caste work to keep Yuuzhan Vong society functioning and is responsible for the Yuuzhan Vong economy. The intendants play a role similar to that of bureaucrats, organizers, and logistics personnel in other species; they also tend to the creatures made by the shapers and serve as the spies and advanced scouts for invasion forces. Considered standard within Yuuzhan Vong society. The caste has the following ranks: High Prefect, Prefect, Consul, Executor & Attendant.

Worker Caste
The worker caste is the largest, yet lowest, caste and serves mainly as servants, slaves and laborers. The worker caste includes Extolled (formerly Shamed Ones), Yuuzhan Vong whose bodies had rejected any organic implants and modifications, Yuuzhan Vong born outright into the worker caste, Yuuzhan Vong who had failed to succeed in other castes, and conquered or shaped species such as the Chazrach. The caste has the following ranks: Servants, Extolled, Laborers & Slaves.
