Facing Death...

The Prism
Diab System

A gust blew through the pitch black corridors of the lost prison...colliding with the metallic walls after every slight turn, it played an ominous tune that she had grew accustomed to. By time it reached her, it seemed as though someone had blew a kiss...it had no strength for it to make a difference to her.

It had been over a month since she arrived...and she had been slowly slipping into depression over the fact that she may never make it out. She longed for the temple...she longed for her sister.

She sat up against the wall, it was suitable for her back which pulsated in pain, echoing through her body. When she sought to move...it made her feel as though she was shattering something. However, she was the hardy type and forced herself to move when she needed to.

Her supplies had run out, she had been spacing out her rations but this was the inevitable outcome if she wasn't found. Seemingly lost...a bright flash filled the room and disappeared as fast as it came; an electrical storm had picked up. The crackling sound of thunder didn't hesitate to follow, and she began to lose hope. It was because of these storms that she was unable to make contact....

Though she heard a whisper...she didn't understand but it was clear enough to catch her attention. She had only travelled far enough in to settle, this entire structure was unexplored...at least to her. She turned and looked over her shoulder into a void of darkness that only showed itself fully when the lightning forced it to. The whispers grew...

"Come..."

The voice spoke...unlike she had heard before. It didn't feel like it came only beyond the skin...it resonated with her spirit. She forced herself up, and walked closer to the void that separated her from the rest of the facility. Though in this time she hadn't much else to lose. While she would have sensed whether this was malevolent...this time she couldn't make up her mind. It was as if it was beyond her.

She stepped in, and her body became engulfed in black. stepped forward slowly, she ignited one portion of her saberstaff and the hall became illuminated in a green haze. She continued...following the whispers. In the distance she heard water drip, only aiding the ominous setting to which she became apart of.

"Who are you?..."

Her exotic speech barely broke the silence, as she reconsidered at the last minute her decision to speak out loud. She stepped forward and stood there trying to pierce the veil.

"Your path doesn't end here Zaachi Ru...come forward." the voice again, though it almost seemed to come from behind her. She quickly turned her head to look but there was nothing. Though what she couldn't deny was that the voice made her feel comfortable, it didn't seem malevolent; reassuring.

She proceeded with walking, for minutes she paced...though led by the whims of the Force. She entered a large area, that was illuminated by the blue and purple skies that screeched from the storm. Every few seconds the lightning lit the entire area which allowed her to know.

The voices stopped...

"Why did you lead me here? What are you?" She spoke, it grew louder each time because she sought answers.

"Your training does not end here...Zaachi." A bright flash appeared in front of her, and a figure in corporeal form walked towards her. When he stepped a few feet in front of her, his figure became to resemble hers; flesh.

She stepped back, breathing heavily.

"Don't fear me child, I've been waiting thousands of years for you. I am Jedi Master Skein...and this is The Prism, an ancient Jedi Prison."

A Jedi Prison?

In all her time with the Jedi she hadn't heard of a Jedi Prison...perhaps it was kept to the Masters of the council.

"I've never heard of such a thing...you state you have been waiting for me, for what purpose?" She question, peering through the green flash her lightsaber emitted; it was backed by the inconsistent flashes of the storm. However, even with all that raged outside the facility' walls...their was an aura set to the room that drew her in.

"I have been tasked with continuing your Jedi training, for what do you think I am child?"

Her face slowly shifted as her muscle began to tighten and scrunch up. She was lost for words, because she hadn't the slightest clue in what was transpiring before her. However, deep down in the crevices of her mind she held an answer that began to dig itself towards the surface. The Togruta' mouth slowly opened, but no words. Her voice echoed as it gradually led up to the phrase she was soon to speak.

"You...you're a spirit. You are what they would call a Force Ghost?"

"Yes. I lived during the times of the Clone Wars, before the Second Jedi Purge...I was tasked with guarding and running this place as a secret prison. While my life ended centuries ago...my spirit remained waiting to fulfill a purpose. You are that purpose..."

Her eyes told a story of curiousity, "Your saying it was meant for me to become trapped here?"

"The Force led you here...so that you may be enlightened. It takes a strong connection to the Force to perceive spirits, you've so much to do, so much you must do. Your journey doesn't end here...this is where it begins."
