OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
The Eyes of Rasul can alert the wearer to the use of Fallanassi White Current if the wearer is within a city block’s proximity. They produce an uncomfortable burning sensation to indicate White Current is being used.
Strengths:
The Eyes of Rasul are two unassuming Sith amulets that look like nothing more than gold earrings. They were made for Thengil by a Sith alchemist named Rasul during the era of the Sith Empire. The alchemist thought the name amusing, since he was in fact blind.
Rasul completed them just before Thengil was captured by the Republic. Ri’Shajirr never received the earrings and Rasul fell in battle on Dromund Kaas. Now that the old worlds are being recovered by the Resurgent Empire, Thengil was able to recover a cache of amulets, which included the Eyes of Rasul.
The earrings can be worn in both ears, or on one ear, or really wherever the wearer wants to put them. However, they must pierce the skin in order to work. One cannot simply hold them in the palm of a hand. They are objects of the dark side and therefore give off a small aura. The earrings can alert the wearer to the usage of White Current, but that is all. They cannot, for instance, indicate to the wearer who used White Current, where the White Current is being used, or how it is being used. They operate merely as unassuming alarms, useful for indicating the presence of the troublesome Fallanassi art.
