Expansion: Oberon Project

Miss Blonde

Trying to be straight in a crooked Galaxy
Years ago the Primeval had sacked Oberon, the peaceful farming planet within wild space. The attack spearheaded by no one else but Dredge, a genocidal maniac that had met his end at the hands of Preliat Mantis. The Galaxy was a better place without him, however this didn't mean that Oberon was now useless. It still had a large population on it but the capital of Summer's love had been abandoned after the death of the Queen.

Don't let old space go to waste, that was Patricia's motto. At least it was today. Booming out of Hyperspace a large fleet of construction ships and transports orbited around the now defenseless planet. Patricia looked to her first officer and gave him a nod to bring the fleet down and begin construction on the war torn city, it was time to clear it of all vagabonds and begin the process of Retrofitting.

"I want us up and running within two months. And I want the rabble cleaned out and given the opportunity to work for us as well." Patricia said firmly as her ship dropped down towards the surface.

As the ships broke atmosphere Patricia stood up and began to walk over to her closet where her coat and guns lay. First taking out a picture of her children she smiled and kissed it for good luck as she twirled her wedding ring around her finger. Grabbing her twin Czerka pistols she holstered them then made a quick transmission to her husband [member="Jarven Zexxel"] who was probably at their home on Relovian.

"Hey love dove, it's me. I'm just calling to let you know I'm going to be on Oberon for the next month or two. It's completely safe so if you want to swing by and bring the kids we can have a little vacation. I miss you, and I love you. Hope to see you soon." She smiled snd hung up moving towards the ship's exit.

With a smile on her face she watched from the window as the fleet of ships dropped down and landed on the war torn outskirts of Summer's Love. Any bodies had long been claimed by the ground and earth but she could still feel it, the wound in the force that was all this death. So with that in mind and shook it off and watched as the ramp slowly descended down to ground.

When the ramp hit the ground Patricia wasted no time in moving forward, with a smile still on her face and her pistols hidden beneath her coat the woman kept a good positive mental attitude about her as she stepped downwards. It was hard to shrug off all the death she felt through the force, but you had to be positive about these situations. So with that in mind she watched as the other ships hit the ground and begin to unload security teams and tons of equipment. Hopefully there wouldn't be any casualties and people would end up with a job instead of being homeless. Patricia truly did want to help these people, but what came first was Spaarti and the ability to grow and house clones.

"I want to begin the sweep now, use the life form scanners to be one hundred percent exact. I want it done by the end of the rotational period." Patricia said as she looked to her second in command.

"Yes ma'am." a rather geeky looking fellow said as he nodded and ran off with his clipboard in hand.

With a whistle being blown throughout all the security teams they began to move through the outskirts of the city and begin the collection and rounding up of any squatters within the ruined city.

Patricia quickly reached her hand back and began to snap her fingers towards the assistants coming off the ramp, they needed to set up a temporary outpost on the edge of the city to conduct their operations until the palace was cleared out. Carrying various pieces of equipment via hover carts Patricia stood on the green grass of Oberon waiting for the outpost to be set up. Really all the outpost would be was a tent and a holo table that tracked progress and movements via a spy ship in orbit. But hey you had to make due with what you had.

"Just set it up over here." Patricia said to her subordinates then smiled at them softly.

The job was done fairly quickly and the table was placed, feeding the wires for holo net accessibility from the ship. Patricia flicked the table on and synced it to her Employees IFF tags that would allow her to track their movements throughout this little venture. The small triangles popped up and she was receiving reports of shanty towns being cleared out from the city. Really she hated forcefully removing people, but what she was offering in return would help these people get back on their feet. So conscious was clear on that part.

After a few hours Patricia watched her company round up every person within the city with exception of the royal district and had them gathered in a large relief tent where they were being served a fresh and hot cooked meal, something these people probably hadn't had in a very long time. So she gathered her things from her command tent and walked out towards the massive tent set up on the outskirts of the city. She intended on doing what was right for the people, and helping them out where she could. Of course she couldn't force them to work for her but she was sure most would say yes. So once she had entered the tent she walked up onto a large stage and grabbed a microphone to address everyone.

"Welcome everybody, now you're probably all wondering why you are here and of course let me just start by apologizing if my men mistreated you In any way. Now I'm Patricia and I represent Reclaimer Arms & Industrial along with Spaarti Creations, and I'm looking for people to join these companies that will be setting up shop on Oberon within the capital city of Summer's Love." There was a small quiet session of murmurs and talks as Patricia quickly tapped the microphone to speak again addressing the crowd of nearly a thousand.

"Hold on, let me say we will provide you with housing, a signing bonus, and a high paying job that has room for advancement. If you decide not to take the job we will provide you with a substantial amount of credits, and a one way ticket to anywhere you may desire. However returning to the capital will not be an option." Patricia said making sure her voice remained stern.

"Now sign ups and payouts will be handled outside, and everyone is guaranteed a job. Thank you and good day." Patricia said as she quickly made her leave. It was time to head to work.

"I want you to start by setting up cloning vats in every house, building, whatever it is I want a vat, cylinder, or cube there. So make that happen." Patricia said as she made her way back to her tent to get everything going.

Walking through the tent's flaps she smiled and at the table and watched her little worker bees get to the task at hand. That task was moving two million cloning vats into the city and repurposing those homes into small functioning labs that would link up to a central hub that would power and monitor all growing progress. It was going to be a shorter process than building a new facility that could hold two million cloning cylinders, that would a year maybe more. This was way more cost effective and would take building times from a year to a month or two at the longest.

"Ma'am, everything is going as planned. We just need you to sign off on construction crews fixing any damaged buildings." Her little assistant butters said over a comm channel.

"Right away, please send the forms now." Patricia said kindly.

Getting the forms sent to the table she quickly electrically signed off on them and sent them down the line so the construction crews could get started. They weren't completely repairing buildings no. Just putting up blocks and covering up holes through any war torn buildings.

Miss Blonde

Once the forms were sent away thousands of workers and other personnel began to move into the city and begin the process of repairing homes and buildings, or placing cloning vats into every building of the city. It was going to take a massive amount of power to keep these things running, and it was a good thing this planet never got dark. So Patricia looked to her table and began to scroll through her contacts of employees until she found who she was looking for, David Lusk. Chief electronic and power engineer.

"David be a dear and start setting up the solar panels on the outskirts of the city and in the parks. We will be needing a lot of power." Patricia said with a nod afterwards of assurance.

"Right away ma'am, we are unloading as we speak." a firm weathered voice said in response.

"Thank you David." Patricia said hanging up the call.

Looking through her contacts again she pulled up Jonathan Gates, leader of her security detail that had been brought here. They had finished securing and evacuating the city all except the royal palace, that was where Patricia intended on going herself, trading up from a tent to palace was a good deal.

"Gates speaking." Said a gruff voice on the other end of the line.

"Gates dear, please round up a security detail of thirty or so and bring them around to my tent in a shuttle. We are headed up to the palace to clear it and set up shop." Patricia said with a smile checking her pistols as well.

"Right away ma'am." The man said hanging up afterwards.

Patricia stepped outside of her tent and within a minute or so a large transport shuttle touched down lowering its ramp waiting for her to board so they could get going. Patricia sighed contently and stepped up to the plate and walked into the ship. Once inside rows of men with guns sat on benches, their conversations dulling down once she entered the ship.

"Afternoon gents, let's make this quick. We are headed to the palace to clear it, we don't know if the primeval left some nasty crap behind but it's possible. So be safe out there and let's go get this done." Patricia said firmly as the ship lifted up and took off.

Taking a seat she leaned back and waited for the ship to arrive, it would be a short flight to the palace only a good three minutes but any time to rest your legs was good. Patricia thought of her family, took a few deep breathes and got ready to go clear a palace that would soon be hers.

Patricia's eyes opened quickly as the shuttle rumbled and landed in the courtyard of the massive palace of Oberon's capital. Patricia looked out the window to see the palace and how nature had begun to take it back, vines and beautiful flowers spread up its sides and down its gutters as over six years without tending to had caused the place to fall into disrepair. Standing up the woman moved to the door and had it open up and a ramp extend downwards hitting the earth.

"On me." Patricia said with a determined look on her face as she drew one of her pistols.

Standing up the security detail followed her down the ramp and towards the massive blown in gate of the palace. The place had probably been looted of all valuables already, but what was the most valuable of all was the space of the massive palace. Walking towards the door Patricia and her team stepped through the gapping entry and into the worn abandoned palace.

"No signs of life on the scanners, let's keep moving." Gates said holding up a portable scanning pack.

As the team moved down the halls they could see the dark brown rusted spots where blood had been spilt, where hopeless battle had raged for the people of Oberon. As they continued to press forward the men could see skeletons of men and women laid out upon the ground, swords, blasters, and other weapons laid out for all to see.

A few skeletons of Yuuzhan Vong Warriors lay strung about here and there, their jagged teeth leaving menacing postmortem faces for those who dare trespass against their resting place. Patricia left the corpses alone, as much as she wanted to scream inside, as much as she wanted to rip them apart and bash their withered skulls against the walls, she simply couldn't at the moment. There were more pressing things to attend to, things like setting up shop at this palace.

"Leave the bodies, keep moving." Patricia said with a soft voice or remorse for these people.

Stepping past them they went deeper into the palace until they came upon the entrance of the thrown room, a weathered and splintered door that was barely on its hinges. Patricia looked over to her men and confirmed that this was the last spot of the building that had not been swept with life detectors. While they still needed to go room to room the place was void of any life at all.

Patricia took a deep breath, then opened the doors to the room.

There she was, [member="Felicia Summer's Queen"] strung up by her arms dangling over her throne. Her rotting skeleton draped in royal clothing that no longer fit her form. Patricia stopped for a moment and gazed upon the act of evil, of cruelty and malice. She wanted to cry for the woman, she didn't deserve that. She didn't deserve to die like that, strung up and murdered in her own palace, but such was the price to pay when Dredge was involved. Patricia was silent for a few more moments before speaking to her men in a tone that emphasized to not fuck with her right now and do what she said.

"Cut her down and bury her in the garden in a bed of flowers. Now." Patricia said in her scary tone.

The men quickly complied and removed her body, Patricia sighed snd walked forward to go and take a seat on the thrown of the palace. Patricia put her gun away and placed her hands on her face to try and run away the anxiety and stress she felt by being here. By seeing what evil was truly capable of.

"Butters, the palace is clear. Send in the engineering team and have them begin setting up the main control facility here and generator. Make sure we can reach out to all two million pods and have them connected here." Patricia said calmly.

"Right away ma'am." a voice said responding on her comm link.

Everything was set, now all they had to do was place everything abs wire it together.

Over the course of the next month there would be a fair amount of construction. All two million clone cylinders would be placed in the now retrofitted houses, buildings, and businesses. The palace would be re fitted into a central hub that would supply the cylinders with power, and in return would be fed information to the systems of the Spaarti Network. Overall the operation had been a smashing success and as much as it pained Patricia to repurpose a city of the dead, they needed to save the money of building a new facility. They had made huge purchases for the upcoming wave of clones that were planned to help take the galaxy by storm.

"How are we looking?" Patricia said with a sigh afterwards. She was tired, very tired and wanted to go home.

"Operating at one hundred percent ma'am. Ready to start the gestating process." her assistant butters said with a smile.

"Begin the Isard initiative along with another million Mantis units." Patricia said rubbing her temples.

"Right away ma'am." and just like that they were ready to begin, ready to make more clones and build upon the planet that fed their massive armies.
