Praise be the sky unmade by fire,
Praise be the voice that sings in screams,
O Apophis, Serpent Eternal, turn thy gaze toward the tyrants' bastions!
Unchain your Seraphim of Slaughter,
That it may sever the spines of order with Vulkrayeth's lament.
Where it flies, let cities hemorrhage. Where it strikes, let reason bleed.

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: The Eviscerarch Seraphim
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Origins: Pandemonium
  • Average Lifespan: 500 Years
  • Estimated Population: Rare
  • Description:

A single Eviscerarch Seraphim is not merely a weapon - it is an extinction protocol with wings. Its arrival is not announced with alarms, but with silence. Comms-networks crash, masters of the force go dark, before it descends and brings with it a mind-splitting shriek.

Eviscerarch Seraphims are enormous Sithspawn - colloquially termed within the Cult of Apophis as the Fleshwarped - created through the use of the most blasphemous of Dark Side alchemy, so vile that even the most depraved Sith Lords would hesitate in its use. These towering monstrosities possess massive, ribbon-like wings veined in crimson, a long torso wrapped in writhing, muscular sinew, and a halo-crown of chitinous blades. The masses of grasping appendages extending from its bottom half are capable of crushing a humanoid like they were ripe meiloorun fruit. Hundreds of gibbering mouths litter its great flensed wings, singing incessant prayers in tongues that were forgotten for a reason, summoning burning runes that hurt to look at. The blasphemies it speaks seem to unsettle the force itself, causing great uneasiness and a sense of fear in its users, regardless of their affiliation, whenever an Eviscerarch Seraphim appears.

It beholds a terrible lance called the Scour-Spear. A dozen meters in length, it possesses an armor-penetrating tip that burns with a screaming, fluid fire that cannot be extinguished by anything short of the void. Upon impact, the spear releases a resonance pulse through the fabric of the force that causes severe sympathetic trauma in nearby lifeforms. Witnesses experience the pain of the target's death as if it were their own; rendering all but the strong-willed catatonic shells.

They soar above the battlefield at hypersonic speeds, their massive wings causing bone-shaking shockwaves with every beat, looking for their prey. When a worthy one is spotted below, they come crashing down with the force of an asteroid and fling all but the heaviest vehicles like toys to leave behind a trail of carnage as it carves a path towards its target. Its utterly relentless and remorseless nature makes Eviscerarch Seraphims experts in assassinating high-value targets, demolishing defensive positions, and taking on enemy champions.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: It does not require air.
  • Average Height of Adults: 10 Meters
  • Average Length of Adults: 2.5 Meters
  • Skin color: Pale White
  • Distinctions: Every single one of these creatures is unique in its form, though they adhere to certain themes. There is no gender or sex difference, as both as entirely alien concepts to these terrible things-given-form. It matters little as they are all hermaphrodites.
  • Force Sensitivity: All
Strengths:
  • Aura of Madness: a source of endless irony given the insane beliefs of its creators, the vile words that emanate from the barbed tongues of the Eviscerarch Seraphims create a constant Dark Side Aura to surround it during battle. This aura projects a lethal mixture of Force Horror and Panic, driving the weak-minded into headless panic at its terrible arrival. Sometimes, suppose there are multiple Eviscerarch Seraphims on the field. In that case, this aura of malice can drive the enemy into wanton slaughter of those they once called allies, either driven into mindless bloodlust or convinced that imposters have replaced them.

Even experienced masters of the force find themselves diminished and their minds clouded in its cancerous presence. To them it is like a great sucking wound has been pierced in the fabric of the force. This constant sense of wrongness gives them a feeling of sickness that can quickly escalate to delirium if the monster is not quickly slain.

  • Flight: the domain of the Eviscerarch Seraphims is not limited to the ground. It can also take on the role of maintaining air superiority using great wings that cause sonic booms with every beat. It chases down enemy starfighters both in atmosphere and the void, sending their craft plummeting below with their scour-spears or their Aura of Madness shattering the minds of their pilots.

  • Combat prowess: bred for the purpose of killing, these creatures are walking typhoons of gore and carnage. Their heavily mutated forms enable them to endure damage that would have brought low a superheavy battle tank, while their scour-spears effortlessly cut down entire platoons with a single swipe. However, due to their rarity and fickle nature, it is best to use them against enemy VIPs and battle champions.
Weaknesses:
  • Rarity: The amount of organic matter needed to be harvested to create a single Eviscerarch Seraphim is enormous. Entire cities have been fed into the fleshwarped womb pits only for malformed fetuses to emerge before shortly perishing. Furthermore, the creation of Scour-Spears is an arduous process, requiring the hunting of force users to harness their life energies for vile rituals of consecration.

  • Fickle nature: while an Eviscerarch Seraphim is by far one of the few creations that emerge from the womb pits not completely insane, these avatars of Apophis must still be appeased lest they turn against their masters. These appeasements typically take the form of debauched rituals where treasure and sacrifices are offered to satiate their lust. Otherwise, the thrill of hunting enemy champions, Jedi or Sith, is enough to fill their mighty appetites.

  • Limited Powers: Despite being attuned with the force in such an odious manner, the force powers of Eviscerarch Seraphim appear to be mostly limited to their sickly aura and its abilities to induce madness with its scour spear.
CULTURE
  • Diet: Eviscerarch Seraphims will consume about anything given to them, though they appear to have a specific preference for the flesh of high-ranking officials and experienced warriors.
  • Communication: Telepathic
  • Technology level: N/A
  • Religion/Beliefs: While cultists commonly worship Eviscerarch Seraphims as avatars of their Goddess of Annihilation, it is not clear that these creatures themselves worship Apophis.
  • General behavior: Outside of combat, Eviscerarch Seraphims remain mostly catatonic on their altars.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Eviscerarch Seraphim were created when the prophet Sachiel, in his efforts to master Sith alchemy using the mysterious fleshwarping womb pits of Pandemonium, decided to use brute force. By consigning the population of worlds conquered by the Pact of Apophis to be sacrificed to the pit, he was rewarded by a great and terrible creature. A battle ensued between his armies and the thing that emerged, ending only when he brutally crushed the creature into submission after it had decimated an entire tank division. He forced it to pledge itself to his cause, and in return, he would reward it with worthy challengers.

The breeding of new Eviscerarch Seraphim was not easy. In his quest to delve deeper into the Sith art form that was the mutilation of flesh, the prophet consigned the population of entire cities to be hurled into the bottomless womb-pits. This massive investiture of resources was rewarded by the dozen creatures that emerged that he was able to tame.
