Living as a slave his whole life, followed by a life of hacking on solitude as a result of an event that showed to him how a lack of anonymity was deadly for one in his line of work, Ezra--still a teenager--inevitably grew lonely. His elongated perception of time only made the days seem vastly longer. While not really enjoying such total solitude, he was well aware of how making companions was not only a potentially dangerous action, but something he would have a hard time in giving his lack of social interactions to begin with, and therefore lack of knowledge on approaching a social situation. To alleviate his emotional instability, Ezra literally constructed a friend. While building his droid, Ezra quickly became emotionally attached, with the droid being his personal obsession and hobby. The rare Impervium he could get his hands on went to the droid so as to make it durable, especially due to his own uncanny strength. Durasteel, mainly because of how reliable and common it was, and a Hybrid Plexisteel wiring that acted as the droid's 'muscles' which allowed for movement. With copper wiring that was impervious to any magnetic interference, and a layer of silicon substances with severe modification to simulate skin and other fleshy features, Ezra had eventually completed his 'friend', Esther. Many of her programs were designed by Ezra himself, allowing her plenty of knowledge obtained from Galactic Networks. Installed in her head was a complex series of drives and other pieces of equipment that essentially simulated a sentient mind. Esther is essentially the only piece of technology with a camera and microphone installed to allow for communication that Ezra is comfortable around, especially due to the Electromagnetic Pulsator installed, strictly built for repelling any attempts to hack Esther by essentially making her practically entirely invisible to devices which recognised technology. The EM Pulsator may be used in reverse to actually detect other devices and effectively hack them upon Ezra's command. Esther is built with a function that is able to receive Ezra's brainwaves specifically, essentially allowing her to telepathically communicate with him.
