It was the nature of the Sith to survive.

In the past few years, the Sith had been dealt numerous blows, their numbers slaughtered in countless conflicts on multiple fronts. In theory, the Sith had been wiped out following the defeat of the Sith Empire and its dissolution. The official story was that the Sith were gone and that the forces of good had prevailed. The existence of the New Sith Order within the Brotherhood of the Maw was testament against this lie. Sith always found a way to survive, and just as the New Sith Order had, Nemris suspected that the remnants of the Sith Empire had also survived. He could not track their whereabouts easily, but rumors of a growing darkness in the southern reaches of the Outer Rim gave clues to a possibility.

Nemris desired to know the truth of matters, and so set out towards the southern edges of the galaxy. He had gotten in contact with an individual claiming to have information useful to Nemris in his search. The world chosen for the meeting was covered in deserts, intermixed with the occasional settlement. A single, moderately sized starport served as the primary means of transit to and from the world.

The contact was running late, irking Nemris. He stood in one of the few shaded taverns in the settlement, the starport visible in the distance with an irregular stream of craft traveling to and from the surface. A drink sat beside him on a small table, forgotten as Nemris tapped a finger on the tables surface in agitation. He was considering simply departing this area and investigating matters further himself, but a presence he felt at the back of his mind kept him in place. He was not the only Dark Side follower on this world, and that simple fact alone kept him rooted in place. Time would tell what might become of this knowledge though.

Lukas had once again found himself at an impasse, so he, as had recently become a norm, boarded a ship and went out to explore new planets. The planet he had landed was mostly a desert, and as he looked around he wasn't particularly impressed by what he saw. Although, his gut instincts about planets had been wrong in the past, so hopefully this was another one of those incidents.

The Acolyte set out from the star port with no real destination in mind, instead he just walked until something caught his eye, a tavern off in the distance. That seemed as good a destination as any, so that's where he was headed.

A presence kept on nagging at him, he hadn't the skill to figure out where or what but he was way too aware of another dark sider at least relatively close. As he entered the tavern, his shoulders tensed slightly as he looked around at those inside. He was at least confident they were close, otherwise he wasn't entirely sure he'd have sensed them, and being completely oblivious kept him on edge. Lukas lowered himself onto a seat in the corner of the tavern, idly listening in on conversations while he attempted to put himself at ease.
