DESCRIPTION
Eostre's Mantle is based on a Rishii artefact once used by the members of a isolated order who dedicated themselves to the spirit beliefs of an nature deity known locally as Eostre. Sometimes associated with the Zaltli tribe, these individuals were nomadic by nature travelling between pilgrim sites for centuries until they eventually settled in the Auric Basin, where the cloak turned from a pratical tool into a, albeit functional, status symbol. So-named for it's abundant resources, the Zaltli would quickly find themselves in a position of power, allowing them to absorb naighbouring tribes. However, such events led to friction and differences in leadership that ultimately destroyed the Zaltli.

Before leaving Rishi on his quest to retrieve his father, Viari undertook a series of trials like his father had before him in hopes of discovering clues of where Pyeth Raffinki might have gone. He succeeded, and in so doing found the plans and resources necessary to recreate the cloak which he wears as a reminder of his home and the quest he has embarked upon. With time and practice Viari has learned to channel his connection of the Force through the cloak to further enhance it's properties.

SPECIAL FEATURES

• Aspect: Traveller (Channelled)
  • When necessary, Viari has learned to channel the Force through the cloak to reinforce the natural protections it offers, such an ability requires Viari to concentrate, and channel the Force through the attached to the mantle. When active, the cloak exudes a comforting air around it, sheltering Viari and nearby creatures (5ft dome around him) from the elements. It achieves this by increasing or decreasing the air pressure and temperature allowing it to buffer or protect against extreme conditions.

STRENGTHS

• Lightweight
  • Due to the lightweighted materials used in it's construction the mantle is light enough not to impede with Viari's ability to fly.
• Environmental Shielding
  • The cloak provides excellent protection against, hot, cold, and wet weather conditions. If supplemented by Viari's aspect it can offer shelter from extreme weather conditions. This additionally confers some innate protection to energy weapons although it is not significant.

WEAKNESSES

• Fragile Fabric
  • The fabric is easily cut by slashing weapons, making it highly suspectible to most common blades and the rarity of the raw materials makes repairing it fairly difficult.
• Poor Protection
  • Generally, the mantle does not provide any reasonable protection against weaponry that do not interact with elemental effects, while it has limited protection to Energy weapons, kinetic force behind blaster bolts will still be transferred into the user.
• Environmental Radiation
  • The mantle does not protect from environmental radiation or radiation based weaponry.
