OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To submit a powerful orbital defense station for the Galactic Alliance, as part of the Endor Codex competition. EOS-1 is intended to serve as a military defense hub and potential key narrative location during the upcoming conflict with the Sith Order.

SETTING INFORMATION
  • Space Station Name: EOS-1 "Aegis of Endor"
  • Station Model: Custom station model; not derived from a canon base.
  • Classification: Orbital Defense Station / Military Logistics Hub
  • Location: Forest Moon of Endor, alterable geosynchronous orbit, typically over the capital.
  • Affiliation: Galactic Alliance
  • Population: Moderate
  • Demographics: Primarily human and near-human Alliance military personnel, with a rotating presence of support staff, engineers, and naval officers. Some non-humans, including Bothans, Duros, and Mon Calamari technicians.
  • Accessibility: Restricted; accessible only to Galactic Alliance military or registered diplomatic/engineering vessels. Protected by clearance codes and interdiction sensors.
  • Traffic: Moderate — EOS-1 maintains steady operational traffic from GA fleet vessels, courier shuttles, and patrol wings. No civilian docking permitted.
  • Description: A sleek, heavily armed orbital fortress designed to shield the Forest Moon of Endor from orbital assault. EOS-1 is powered by an advanced energy capacitor array capable of being discharged in several devastating or defensive ways. It orbits in synchrony with the surface, capable of launching starfighters, jamming enemy communications, and projecting massive shields over Endor. A vital keystone in the GA's defense of the system, it is as symbolic as it is strategic.

POINTS OF INTEREST
  • Titan Core Chamber: The heart of the station, containing deep-crystal capacitors and advanced fusion relays. Can be slowly charged or rapidly juiced via beam relays from ground-based laser installations.
  • Command Spire: High-level orbital command and coordination suite for GA operations in the system. Features real-time tactical holo-maps and encrypted HoloNet uplink.
  • Trident Protocol Control Array: Allows the Titan Core's energy to be discharged in one of three ways:

Hemisphere Shield Dome (temporary full-shield for half the moon)

Conical Tactical Shield Beam (localized, sustained coverage)

Titan Lance (a devastating anti-capital ship orbital superlaser) Only one option may be activated per charge cycle.
  • Enviro-Bubble Terrace: A reinforced transparent dome overlooking Endor and deep space. Originally designed for diplomatic events, now often used for high-profile duels, award ceremonies, or contemplation.
  • Hangar Rings: Four hangar bays that support GA starfighters, drop shuttles, and courier vessels. Each is supported by magnetic acceleration rails for rapid deployment.
  • Shield Projection Node Array: Ring of emitters responsible for atmospheric beam shielding. Inspired by the Deflector shield systems of Mon Cala and Coruscant.
  • Sensor & Scrambler Bastion: Coordinates electronic warfare and jamming. Capable of disrupting enemy comms between surface and air units, akin to communications disruption fields used during the Clone Wars.
  • Security Decks: Housing internal anti-personnel countermeasures, security droids, and boarding defense corridors.
  • EMP Pulse Node: One-time discharge EMP wave that can disrupt nearby ships or incoming ordinance. Requires extended cooldown.
  • Laser Interceptor Network: Interlinked turret system designed to target incoming bombardments, drop pods, and missiles with high-speed precision fire. Inspired by laser cannon-based CIWS platforms and Mon Calamari flak grids.

SECURITY Maximum

EOS-1 is one of the most heavily fortified installations in the Endor system. Its layered defenses are designed for orbital superiority, anti-boarding resilience, and planetary protection. The station cannot sustain a full naval engagement alone, but it can hold long enough for GA fleet support to respond.

  • Titan Core capacitor array with Trident Protocol discharge system
  • Hemisphere shield projection field (short duration, massive coverage)
  • Conical beam shield projector for localized surface defense
  • "Titan Lance" orbital lance weapon (single-target, charge-up)
  • Orbital Iron Dome laser grid (anti-drop pod, missile, and shell interception)
  • EMP shockwave pulse (area disable, limited range)
  • Encrypted comms jammer field (surface-to-orbit blackout)
  • Heavy turbolasers and ventral ion cannons (anti-capital)
  • Quad-point point-defense blaster arrays (anti-starfighter)
  • Reinforced hull plating and overlapping shield emitters
  • Internal stun net arrays and magnetic lockdown bulkheads
  • Station garrison of advanced GA security droids
  • Auto-turret corridors and AI-controlled breach response

HISTORICAL INFORMATION EOS-1 was commissioned in 902 ABY by the Galactic Alliance following intelligence that the Sith Order had set its sights on Endor—a world historically associated with the fall of the Galactic Empire. Unlike other fortress stations built for intimidation, EOS-1 was designed as a symbol of resolve and remembrance. Construction was fast-tracked under emergency war powers legislation and completed in record time, thanks to round-the-clock modular assembly in orbit.

The station serves as both a keystone defense installation and a psychological anchor: a visible promise that Endor, sacred to the galactic memory, would not fall again. Its signature Trident Protocol has never been fully activated in a live-fire scenario, and internal rumors suggest even the GA High Command disagrees on which mode should be used first in battle.

EOS-1 remains on high alert, its systems cycling through simulations and readiness drills as the Sith threat grows near. While it is not a fleet by itself, its presence alone is meant to change the calculus of war in the region.
