• Hadrium alloy-lined barrel to dampen heat buildup

 • Integrated bipod

 • Side-folding Stock
Strengths:

 • Power: For a weapon of its size the EO-9 packs a serious punch, delivering deadly blasts with a solid fire rate even to armored enemies.

 • Transport: Made to specs equal to a standard blaster rifle in terms of size, and with the stock able to telescope and fold to the side, the EO-9 is easy to store for transport in numbers.

 • Combat Flexibility: With the integral bipod and side-folding stock it’s possible to use the EO-9 not only as an open-field combat weapon, but also mount it with the bipod to provide stationary suppressive fire, or fold the stock to the side for easier CQB options.
Weaknesses:

 • Recoil: Because of its power, and the fact that it’s a scaled-down blaster cannon rather than a typical carbine or rifle, there is considerable recoil caused by each shot, made worse by the weapon’s weight making it a bit harder to handle.

 • Individual Weight: As mentioned above, the EO-9 is heavier than most weapons of its size, requiring a stronger than average user to comfortable use it without the bipod.

 • Power Cell Usage: Standard power cells can only provide 50 shots with the power of the EO-9, a limit quickly reached due to its fire rate, requiring frequent reloads which can be costly in hectic combat.
DESCRIPTION

Designed to fit a serious amount of firepower into a compact weapon, the EO-9 is a blaster cannon scaled down to the size of a typical blaster rifle for easier transport around the battlefield for suppressive fire. Because of this it possesses exceptional power per shot and a solid rate of fire, though limited in range somewhat due to the bolts dissipating in power the further they travel. The drum-shaped gas canister is locked into a well on the underside of the receiver, just in front of the trigger-guard, while the power cell is inserted just above into a slot opened up by pulling back a charging handle at the top of the weapon. A lever within the stock allows for it to be retracted, creating more space between it and the receiver to adjust for the user’s comfort, and a button on the connector allows for the stock to be folded to the side, allowing for easier transport and CQB usage.
