Description: The blade known as Entropy is one of the finest swords of the modern age. Its creation draws from three powerful legacies. An Atrisian master smith, Masamune Tametomo, brought knowledge of songsteel forging. The Fringer Rave Merrill, a Nightsister holding the memories of a Witch Elder, as well as a very powerful alchemical specialist, brought Sith alchemy and Nightsister crafting into the blade's creation. The blade's resilience is primarily derived from the songsteel, allowing the alchemist to focus on the blade's other properties rather than getting bogged down in making it lightsabre-resistant by alchemy. Only a touch of structural alchemy was required to make the songsteel fully lightsabre-immune. As true alchemical metal is known to be heavy, and songsteel is very light, the sword winds up being light for its size, but not as light as pure songsteel. To a true duellist, however, balance is far more important than weight, and this sword's balance was attained in close consultation with a smith from a tradition which prizes balance above all.

Entropy has one purpose: To shred incoming Force attacks. To that end, Rave chose three separate methods, and employed them all. All three strategies are empowered and enabled by high-quality lignan crystals, reservoirs of Dark Side power, charged with the aura of the Dark Forge of Aza'zoth. These crystals are located in the hilt and the pommel.

The first strategy used Svoltan rhyolite, the advanced Sith alchemist's choice of whetstone. With proper alchemical rituals, Svoltan rhyolite can make an alchemical sword's blade forever sharp. Already a master of that technique, Rave attempted to create a new ritual, combining Sith and Nightsister arts, to draw upon the symbolism of the Svoltan rhyolite and cut nearly anything, especially Force constructs. This alone would not have been enough, so she drew upon alchemy far older and stronger than anything she could create on her own: The arts which created the terentateks.

Terentateks are fully resistant to Force powers, and Rave is the galaxy's greatest expert on treating their skins and turning them to leather that retains the terentatek's unique properties. When making Entropy, she emphasized those properties with alchemical rituals and Nightsister crafting spells, resulting in a sword that is fully immune to offensive Force powers. Specially treated terentatek hide forms the grip of the sword, the scabbard, and the sword belt. Terentatek horn has a place in the oddly-formed hilt and pommel, though the major contact surfaces are all alchemized songsteel.

The third strategy relies upon the arcane resistances from the scales of Jhaega, the Force-twisted Kwa dragon construct who was second-in-command of Ash's armies. Rave secured several of his defensive scales, and was able to break one into usable fragments, instilling its powerful resistances through mounts in the hilt and pommel, alongside the lignan crystals. Like the Svoltan rhyolite ritual and the terentatek leather and horn, the Jhaega scale is empowered and woven together with the power of the lignan crystal.

The resulting weapon, forged with massive amounts of Rave's own blood, can shred Spears of Midnight Black, break Waves of Darkness, shrug off Force Light, sever Dark Side Tendrils, collect Sith Lightning (like many Sith swords), and otherwise resist most offensive Force techniques if used expertly. Naturally, the sword would do nothing against Force chokes, malacia, mentalism, and so forth. Its strike would dispel non-mental illusions, and can assist the wielder in withstanding Force pushes, if used properly. Entropy's power is largely defensive in nature; it is not, for example, designed to destroy Force artifacts or others' weapons. This reflects the personality of its creator, who generally does not believe in breaking things for the sake of breaking things. What it is designed to do is counter and resist techniques of destruction, including Force-enhanced weapons.

As the masterwork project of a career smith and alchemist, guided by another career smith, and empowered by two legacies of metaphysical metallurgy, Entropy is at the top tier of existing Sith swords.

The amount of work put into this and the dev thread is /astounding/ so you ought to be very pleased with and proud of yourselves. As for the weapon itself, the fact it's a blade and not armour makes this easier to judge; it's measured by the skill of the writer/character as opposed to just generic and passive defence. From what I've gathered there are four of them, although the style of this blade is unique.

I'm going to approve this weapon with the understanding that aside from the other three smaller blades there'll be no more made without further dev/submission threads. This isn't the sort of thing we'd want spawning left, right and centre. The same will be said for the other blades. Keep in mind the limitations set, and ensure that if this gets passed on the individual who claims it is fully aware of what it can/cannot combat in regards to the Force.
