• Disintegrates all matter
 • Blue pulse-esk blasts
 • Unstable Energy Reactor
DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES
The LOOM Disrupter has an endless supply of shots while the reactor within the weapon is loaded and functioning. The reactor utilizes a single rod of a highly unstable material which requires replacing every hour. The energy pulses created from the reactor are also unstable and disintegrate all matter they come into contact with. The energy is slightly faster traveling than most blasters, making it difficult to dodge the weapons fire.

Strengths:
 • Disrupter blasts through armor and flesh easily
 • Allows for an unrestricted number of shots
 • Practically no recoil
 • Heavier than what most organics are capable of using effectively
Weaknesses :
 • Heating issues constrain rate of fire to two shots every second
 • Fire is absorbed by shields
 • Restrictively heavy
 • Reloading Reactor is a lengthy process
 • Lethal explosion should reactor be shot

DESCRIPTION
Ultimatum designed the Perceptive rifle days before a conflict with the invading armies of the First Order forced the droid to use the prototype in the defense. While effective, Ultimatum found points of refinement so as to make it more easily mass produced, such as reducing the size of the core and increasing the barrel diameter both of which decreased heat production and thus allowed for less sturdy materials to be used in barrel construction.

The weight of the weapon is incredibly inhibitive, but gave the weapon very little recoil thanks to the heat. The various materials make the weapon difficult if not impossible for organics to wield in a conventional manner, but droids built with sufficient strength are capable of handling the weight fair enough as proven by Ultimatum’s use of the prototype during the battle.

The decision to use a reactor of a synthetic unstable rod was made as an experiment into the concepts of renewable ammunition. The rods were produced in the same station that produced the materials for the rest of the weapons. The reactor has been integrated into the weapon such that when the rod wears out the user must partially strip the weapon in order to reach the latch that releases the rod. It should be noted that prolonged or repeated exposure to the rod, depleted or otherwise, can cause radiation poisoning. Due to the instability of the reactor’s power, a direct shot to the core can lead to an instantaneous release of the energy likely obliterating everything within a 50 centimeter sphere. However, the reactor is placed towards the stock end of the rifle, making such a shot far more difficult than most soldiers would usually be willing to take.

The energy fire from the reactor is considered unstable, not quite the same as a standard disrupter but it achieves the same effect. The shots are capable of causing even the heaviest of armors to disintegrate, however energy shields are the perfect defense. Most shields design to counter energy weapons will be able to absorb these shots with relative ease, making these rifles ineffective against shielded foes. Unlike most conventional blasters and disrupters, which fire energy in a tight beam, this rifle shoots almost orb like blasts of blue energy. While inefficient for energy use, the design makes even a glancing shot potentially debilitating. If the shots pass within two centimeters of a flesh, it has a tendency to leave second degree burns, if closer still it leaves third degree, and if it barely touches it causes minor disintegration in the area of the graze. This can lead to the loss of an entire limb from amputation for medical reasons, or prolonged bacta treatment in order to reinvigorate cell growth.

The materials used in construction are heavy and sturdy, but in no way overly resistant to blaster fire. Unfortunately without a proper cooling system, the heat produced from the firing is trapped within the bulky barrel system and can easily warp the barrel if not damage the system. To circumvent the issue, all users are recommended to fire only two shots a second.

I am basing it off of the fact that the majority of Ultimatum's men, who will be the main ones using it, will be droids or cyborgs. Most standard enemy soldiers will often be some form of organic similar to human capabilities, thus the enemies will not be able to turn the weapons as easily against Ultimatum as normal blaster rifle. Does that make sense?

I do not mind removing it, I think that the submission can live without that little piece.
