Considerable knowledge of the history and culture of the Vahla and the Migrant Fleet.
Extensive knowledge of the Ember of Vahl in regards to faith, lore, history, and practice.

Personality:
Seen from outside the Ember, most would say Entiennette is like a creature from a fairy tale: A crooked, twisted, witch, with a penchant for trickery and cruelty. Within the Ember of Vahl, however, she is a wellspring of wisdom and history gathered through an unnaturally long life; there are few who question her comprehension of Vahla history and devotion to the Goddess.

Entiennette is something of a ritualist and traditionalist when it comes to performing the religious duties of her people. She believes that applying set forms of worship strengthens the religious bond that ties their migrant people together and when they stand close, their words are better heard by their goddess Vahl. Centric in her ritualism is the blood sacrifice, which lead to Entiennette sacrificing her natural sight, both her hands and regular cuts to her flesh.

As a person, Entiennette is difficult to grasp. She often appears as a friend, a helper, and an advisor. She uses words and (sometimes feigned) kindness to persuade and deceive others into aligning with her ideals. And though she has many ideals for the unity of her people and the worship of Vahl, she often leans towards an “ends justify the means” path of thinking.

Entiennette is also quite conscious of bloodlines within the Vahla. This presents two sides of her: One is the vast historical and genealogical trivia she holds, which is sprinkled lightly with secrets, rumours, and legends from her long life. The other and far uglier side of Entiennette’s interest in the bloodlines of the Vahla is that she is quite sceptical towards converts. Deep down, she favours “trueborn” vahla over those of a mixed blood, and most certainly over those who have come to the sect from other races.

PHYSICAL INFORMATION

Age: 86 standard years.
Force Sensitivity: Yes (Master)
Species: Vahla

Appearance:
The first thought people most often have when seeing Entiennette for the first time is “old”. Her skin is wrinkled and her back is hunched. Her eyes are glossed over with a milky white, courtesy of her physical blindness. Her hair, once a lush black, is now silvery white with strands of ashen grey. Looking at her more closely, one can see that she was once a great beauty; her facial features are finely chiselled and her locks fall with a faded grace, like silver leaves in the autumn. Despite her hunched posture, she carries herself with a distinct dignity and pride, befitting of her station within the Ember of Vahl.

Decades of dedicated use of the dark side of the Force has left its mark on her once dusky skin. Now, it is a waxen grey hue with clear marks of corruption. In her dedication to Vahl, Entiennette sacrificed both her hands, leaving only a pair of stumps. Her arms and shoulders are covered in criss-crossing lines of faded cuts from innumerable ritual bloodlettings.

In the ways of attire, Entiennette favours all black dresses and robes, with texture patterns traditional to the Vahla. These patterns look much like star charts and abstracted sky-motifs of interweaving lines. Her hair is often partially covered in a bound shawl of a similar pattern. Around her head, neck, and dangling from her elongated earlobes, she wears traditional Vahla jewellery of antique gold, handed down or gifted to her by her elders through a long and arduous life of dedication to Vahl and to the Ember.

COMBAT INFORMATION

Weapon of Choice: The Force, ceremonial dagger,
Combat Function:
Entiennette is not a person who specialises in combat. Rather, her combat-abilities are a product of experience in self-defence and are mostly there out of a need for self-preservation. She is most effective out of combat, manipulating the course of her surroundings and leading her followers in worship to the Goddess.

When forced to act, Entiennette takes a supporting role and will bolster her allies through Battle Meditation, rather than go into direct combat herself. If this fails, she will rely on trickery and use her knowledge of mentalism and Illusions to harm and confuse her opponents, hopefully making them hurt each other. As such, her way of combat is entirely force-based and she will try to run or plea for her life long before relying on physical attacks.

If dominant in a fight, Entiennette will try to disable and capture her opponents rather than kill them so that they may be properly sacrificed to Vahl.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Entiennette was the daughter of a priestess of the Ember, Jozarie Wedaine, and raised within the most religious circles of the Vahla culture. Some say she was conceived as part of a ritual to create more forceful Vahla for the protection of the Ember. However, this has never been confirmed or denied. Her father, Rydel Wedaine was the pilot in the Vahla Migrant Fleet and a devout worshipper in his own right. However, a pilot’s duty in the Migrant Fleet is a big responsibility that kept him away much of the time.

Often left to her own care, and that of the elderly, Entiennette quickly gathered a good grasp of the art of gossiping and a keen understanding of who was related to whom, as this was one of the hot topics for any elderly Vahla no longer fit to work the machinery. From these elders, she also learned of the old stories and legends. At the age of eleven, she could name most of the great prophets in the Vahla faith, sing several hymns, and lead others into prayer in minor, formal occasions, much to the approval of her parents and adoration of her elders.

As most Vahla must, when Entiennette was coming of age, she left the Migrant Fleet with a ship and a handful of companions to find something of value and bring it back to the Fleet. Ships and technology, new knowledge, and artefacts of the dark side were popular choices. Entiennette, a beautiful, bookish, young woman, dreamt of finding something that would make the fleet gawk and cheer. However, it took years for her to find anything of note. Her companions settled on their gifts and returned to the fleet, one by one, until she was alone in the strange and hostile environment of the Galaxy. She had nothing but a single lead, but she needed a pilot of experience. Enter, Marco Vale, smuggler, thief, scoundrel and all around unsavoury figure. To Entiennette, he was a last solution. It was this, or return to the fleet in shame.

Together, Entiennette and Marco set out to find a lost shrine deep in the jungles of Panatha. She almost died of a fever in the jungles, but Marco brought her to safety. On their second attempt, she found the alleged ruins. It was difficult to discern the age or origins of the ruins, but she was certain they were of Vahla origins. In her search for hard evidence, she found a secret cave opening that went deep into the bedrock. She and Marco entered and found a shrine to Vahl, locked away for centuries. This was her discovery.

Something happened in the shrine, and it is unclear what. Some say Marco expected there to be treasure and tried to betray Entiennette on grounds of greed, and she killed him to defend the shrine. Others believe Entiennette’s longing opened a conduit to the will of Vahl that blinded her and ate Marco’s soul. Entiennette has not given a definitive answer, and some believe she does not know. All that is certain is that she walked out of that cave with eyes a milky white and a reinforced determination.

Upon returning to the Migrant Fleet, she found, expectedly, that her parents had passed, as had many of her elderly friends and relatives. However, the discovery of the ruins and the knowledge she had gathered were deemed worthy and Entiennette garnished a certain respect. She went on to travel and gather local legend, lore, and songs, as well as secrets, from every conclave of Vahla known to the Ember. She also trained as a priestess and the occult secrets of the Ember of Vahl. With her collective effort, she was granted a place among the high priestesses, the Chosen of Vahl, to guide the people. Upon accepting this position, she made the sacrifice of her hands to prove once and for all the depths of her devotion.

I only see one image in the submission, did you forget to add it?

Also, I'm going to need you to link the original artists for the images, please let me know if you're having difficulty finding them :)

[member="Aster Rose Baelor"]

Both images were there, but the upper (Old Entiennette) was inside a spoiler floated to the right. It is now moved to the left so it's easier to see.
I also credited the right artist by name and with direct link to the original post.

I Deemed the second image ("Young Entiennette" in bio) to be unnecessary and removed it rather than dig further for source.

Is this satisfactory?

Sorry for the wait RL came knocking!

I didn't notice the spoiler to the right - how embarrassing and for some reason the link to your first image wasn't hyperlinked on my screen at the time of my first post >.>

Also, for future reference, please make sure all images are linked to their original sources and if the original source no longer exists, make a note of it in your submission.

Enjoy your priestess :) Approved, pending secondary!
