Specifications: Hilt 25 cm, blade 110 cm - 150 cm.
Weight: Average. 1. 4 kg.

SPECIAL FEATURES
Strengths:
  • Cannot be shorted out by cortosis, only blocked.
  • Dantari crystal reduces Force fatigue. This does not enhance the intensity of Enyo's skill set, but it gives her greater reserves to draw upon, improving her stamina. This is relevant because extensive damage to her organic covering can weaken her connection.
  • Optimised for duelling due to crossguards, Adegan lense, dual-phase setting and Rubat crystal. Rubat sharpens appearance and definition of the blade, allowing wielder to easily track the blade and strike opponents better. This, combined with Enyo's mechanical power, allows her to attack and defend more quickly. Adegan lense increases potential damage, allowing the blade to cut through most objects and alloys, such as durasteel, at a somewhat faster rate than standard. Dual-phase setting allows wielder to modify the blade's length in combat, potentially giving the wielder a reach advantage in duelling.
  • Due to a modular setting, the blade can soar in cutting power. It ranges from being that of a simple training sabre to powerful enough to rend and melt through Beskar, Phrik and several other normally lightsabre resistant materiels with relative ease. This also makes it easier to cut overload power-glands in Yuuzhan Vong biots. In addition, it can cut through normal materiels at a faster rate than a standard lightsabre.
Weaknesses:
  • Use of the maximum setting renders the blade unstable. In that setting the lightsabre is more prone to shorting out. In this setting the weapon does not function underwater and can be shorted out by cortosis. Moreover, even in this special setting, the blade is generally unable to cut through items enhanced via Sith Alchemy, unless they are very simplistic and possess only basic resistance to lightsabres.
  • Hilt is tough, but can be destroyed or damaged by direct lightsabre strikes
  • Lightsabres lack mass, imposes a limit on the pressure one can bring to bear, compared to a physical blade.
  • Lightsabres are weaker at defending against conventional bullets (slugs etc.)

DESCRIPTION

If one's weapon is a reflection of oneself, then Enyo's lightsabres represent different stages in her life. From brainwashed slave-soldier to mechanical abomination, insurgent and crime syndicate boss to the new droid queen of Archangel. She is nothing if not pragmatic, focused and ruthless. Enyo's third lightsabre was built shortly after her successful coup put her in control of Archangel Research and Design. Her creators, Maelion Liates and Moira Skaldi, were both dead, and Archangel's resources, ships and droid armies were hers now. Yet the battle had not left her without scars. One could say that she traded humanity for power and order. Perhaps this made her a fitting successor to her mechanical 'mothers'.

During the course of the final battle, Enyo encountered her mirror image, for Archangel had created another clone of Siobhan Kerrigan. This one went by the name Caiomhe. The clone had been brainwashed by Archangel and various drugs and alchemical concoctions had been utilised to increase her Force potential at the cost of her wellbeing and sanity. This enabled her to meet Enyo on the battlefield on near equal terms. The hybrid was also hampered by the fact that she did not wish to kill her sibling. Thus a fierce duel ensued, with Caoimhe being backed up by Shards, led by an Archangel HRD called Gunther, whose endoskeleton was made of Phrik.

For many months ago, Enyo had allied herself with the Contingency, only to betray them and help an unlikely coalition foil their doomsday plot and slay the insane Onyx. Suffice to say the survivors were not in a forgiving mood. The battle was brutal. Enyo was able to overcome most of her assailants, but disarmed and maimed. Deprived of her sword hand, she was subjected to a vicious beatdown by Archangel's HRD commander, until Caiomhe turned on her oppressors and unleashed a large blast of Force Lightning. Though struck by the blast as well, Enyo ripped the HRD's power core out. Burnt out and drained, Caiomhe collapsed. Using advanced medical tech, Enyo was able to save her after assuming control over Archangel.

While undergoing repairs to fix the damage to her endoskeleton and organic covering, Enyo laboured to build a new blade. One flaw she had found in her old weapon - and in most lightsabres in general - was the lack of adequate hand protection. Caiohme had used a crossguard sabre in the duel, enabling her to protect themselves better from attacks while also having a handy little surprise attack, while the Shards had made use of lightsabre-pikes. After studying Caiohme's design, Enyo decided to adapt it. It is probably convenient that Enyo requires neither sleep nor sustenance, just a one-hour shutdown period. This allows her to focus on any task she puts her mind to.

The hilt was forged of Turdadium, with an insulating outer shell of Duravlex. While weaker than a Phrik hilt, Turadium was a sturdy materiel that was difficult to cut through, even with a lightsabre. These materiels provided strength and weight, along with significant heat resistance. Next came the various lightsabre components. An Adegan lens boosted the power of the blade, while a Trapped Grip ensured that the weapon could only be wielded by her hands. The bifurcating cyclical ignition pulse would ensure that the blade could be utilised underwater, instead of shorting out. Then came the crystals. For practical reasons, she settled on a standard Kyber crystal, a Rubat and a Dantari. The violet Kyber crystal provided the main focus and gave the blade its colour, the Rubat would provide a boon in combat.

Speed combined with her inherent mechanical power would allow her to deflect, parry and attack even quicker. By contrast, the Dantari crystal would reduce Force fatigue and help her stave off reaching it in the first place, boosting her stamina in the Force. This was pertinent because extensive damage to her organic covering could weaken her Force connection, even with the focus crystal implanted in her mechanical shell. Though less reliant upon preternatural powers than her template, Enyo wished to be prepared. For reasons of practicality, she gave the weapon a duel-phase setting. Modifying the sabre's length during a fight would allow her to play with the reach and range of her attacks, potentially giving her an asset in combat. After all these components had been assembled, she laboured until the weapon was complete. She called it Endurance, for she had endured and prevailed over those who sought to control her.

Endurance was latet modified by Enyo to give her more options against opponents who utilise lightsabre-resistant materials for their armour and/or weapons. She made this modification after battling Tempest, a Force Master and officer in the service of Firemane, inside one of the control rooms of the Ultima superweapon during the Sith Empire's failed attempt to destroy the planet Sisio. Enyo was able to seriously injure her foe by breaking one of her legs, but had trouble penetrating her foe's Beskar armour with her lightsabre. The Cyborg's body was severaly damaged by her foe's lightning. During the fight, some controls were damaged, causing some very important circuitry to fry. This triggered a chain reaction, forcing both combatants to flee the station. Having already had trouble to significantly damage phrik HRDs during her insurrection against Archangel, Enyo returned to the drawing board.

To elaborate, the weapon possesses a secondary energy source in form of a small amount of Isotope-5. It is located below the primary powercell. It can sustain a power cutting blade for any amount of time. Using this feature, the Cyborg can make the blade soar in cutting power. However, this comes at a cost, as she risks destabilising it. The weapon draws a large amount of power from the energy cells. This goes far beyond the standard and reduces its battery life to a considerable degree. As a result, Enyo has to be careful as to how many times she uses the blade at the highest power setting.

On the one hand, the lightsabre can cut through lightsabre-resistant materials, including Beskar and Phrik, with greater ease. This also extends to Vong biots. Penetrating Ultrachrome is more difficult in comparison due to its heat dispersal qualities, but still easier than when trying with a conventional lightsabre. This is obviously beneficial in combat with enemies using amphistaves, electrostaves, beskads and so on. It is generally unable to cut through items enhanced via Sith Alchemy, unless they are very simplistic and possess only basic resistance to lightsabres. On the other hand, using the highest setting renders the blade unstable. It is more prone to shorting out due to electrical surges and ionic interference. Moreover, in this setting the blade cannot be utilised underwater. It also becomes vulnerable to being shorted out by cortosis despite the use of non-dimetris circuitry, which on the normal setting means that the blade can only be blocked, but not shorted out. Furthermore, blaster bolts deflected by the sabre bounce off a lot more randomly
