DESCRIPTION
Due to the drastic change in ideologies regarding void-warfare - switching from the Imperial reliance on heavily armed and armoured warships to the Republic’s reliance on squadrons of starfighters - Fleet Carrier’s had risen to prominence in the time after the tumultuous Battle of Endor. Thus, when the first iteration of the New Class program was brought out of the conceptual phase, the brilliant minds at the Republic Engineering Corporation had seen fit to bring the progenitor of the Endurance-series into active service.

While bearing a strikingly similar aesthetic to its predecessor, the Endurance II is outfitted with a host of modern technological marvels that increase the warship’s combat effectiveness and overall efficacy. The most prominent of these upgrades was the automated systems that controlled a vast majority of the vessel, allowing for a smaller crew complement for a warship of this size. These systems also governed the entirety of the warship’s interception suites, which allowed for increased performance over their sluggish organic counterparts; ensuring that the Fleet Carrier was well-defended from a wealth of threats.

Naturally, there were exceptions to this claim, as no system was ever perfect.

While there were improvements that were made to the Endurance’s overall schematics, many of the original designs and intentions were carried over. Like the similar hull design shared between the Nebula and this Fleet Carrier; to being a command vessel that had the ability to oversee fleet-wide operations and planetary assaults. Such feats came to fruition through the wealth of sensors and targeting computers that were installed aboard the warship, allowing taskforce commanders to bear witness to the real-time movements of their varied militant elements; Thus making the Endurance II the perfect centrepiece for any and all planetary and fleet-wide operations.

With these advancements and improvements, the Endurance II - Class Fleet Carrier seeks to inherit the mighty legacy of its predecessor and eventually surpass it in the days to come; despite what false inheritors seek to deny this series of its rightful glory.
