Character

Born on the Core World of Velusia, Emrys Fel was raised in a household clinging to the echoes of a lost legacy. His family, a distant and largely disregarded branch of the Fel Dynasty, had long since fallen into obscurity, their influence reduced to ceremonial titles and empty privilege. While the main Fel line commanded fleets and thrones, his lineage had been cast aside—an afterthought in a galaxy that valued strength over history.
His father, Veydran Fel, had grown embittered by their family's diminished status. He had once served in the fragmented Imperial Remnant but found no favor with the true heirs of the Fel Empire. With no path to legitimacy, he retreated to Velusia, where he spent his years indoctrinating his son with tales of their family's former glory.
From a young age, Emrys was taught that he was more than the world around him allowed him to be. He trained in the traditions of Imperial nobility, mastering diplomacy, military theory, and the art of manipulation. He learned to command with authority, even when he had nothing to command. But he did not share his father's resignation—he would not accept being forgotten.
The Dark Empire – A New Opportunity
When the Dark Empire emerged under the banner of the Sith, proclaiming a new Imperial resurgence, Emrys saw it as his chance. Unlike the fractured and failing Remnants, the Dark Empire embraced the old Imperial dream without weakness or compromise. Its Sith overlords spoke of strength and destiny—words that resonated deeply with Emrys.
Rather than simply claiming his noble heritage, he chose to prove himself through war. He enlisted as an officer, using his family name to secure a position of command, though few took him seriously. To many within the Dark Empire, he was just another aristocrat playing at war. They believed he would falter, that he was untested, that he was a relic of a past long buried.
They were wrong.
The Galactic Alliance War: Baptism by Fire
When war erupted between the Dark Empire and the Galactic Alliance, Emrys saw his opportunity to carve out his place in history. He led campaigns on the Coreward Front, where the Dark Empire clashed against the Alliance's defenses. No longer shielded by status, he was forced to fight, bleed, and kill like any other officer.
At first, he was merely a competent strategist, proving his worth through calculated tactics and decisive leadership. But as the war dragged on, he became something more—a hardened commander forged in the crucible of bloodshed. He learned not just how to win battles but how to command absolute loyalty, to inspire fear and respect in those under his command.
When the war ended in a stalemate, Emrys had become a veteran, a survivor of some of the bloodiest battles fought in the name of Imperial resurgence. But he also saw the weakness in the Dark Empire's leadership. The Sith, for all their power, were fractious. The admirals and moffs bickered over control. And while the Fel name still carried weight, it was not his name that held it.
The Next Move: Seizing His Own Destiny
With the war over, Emrys knew that he could not simply be a soldier in another man's empire. He had proven himself in battle. Now, it was time to prove himself as a ruler.
Aligning himself with the Empire Reborn, a faction dedicated to merging the dark side with Imperial ideology, he positioned himself as the leader the Imperials needed but had yet to recognize. Unlike the Sith Lords who ruled through chaos, or the remnants of the old Imperial elite who clung to lost traditions, Emrys sought to forge something new—a Fel Empire, but under his rule.
He has begun gathering loyal officers and commanders, veterans of the war who grew disillusioned with weak leadership. He courts Sith allies, knowing that while he does not fully embrace their ways, their power is necessary for his ascent. He builds a cult of personality, presenting himself as the true heir to Imperial destiny, a leader who will unite the fractured remnants and reclaim the Core.
But Emrys is not patient forever. The time for maneuvering will end. He does not intend to remain a claimant forever. He will take what is his.
For those who refuse to kneel, there will be only one alternative: the cold, merciless void.
