Emeläz was born on Corasont.
Em's parents owned and operated a small ship dealership and repair. Em's father Ragni was the owner and head mechanic. Em's mother ran the accounting. The shop ran a lot of back street deals with a local gang for protection.
When Em was old enough to hold a tool she started learning everything she could about mechanics from her father and his employees. When she was 16 Em's mother and father fought alot about business matters. Em would stay at various friends houses to avoid getting involved. One day her parents had a massive fight. Em stayed at a friends for a couple of days and when she came home her life was changed forever.
She arrived at her house and climbed in through her bedroom window, like she always did. Apon entering her room she discovered everything in disarray. As she made her way through her home she found the house ransacked. When she entered the living room she found the bodies of her mother, father, two younger sisters. They had all been gruesomely murdered and there thumbs removed.
She ran crying from her home with nothing but the cloths on her back. After spending a couple days homeless and in mourning she swore to herself she would get revenge on the person who murdered her family.
Lying about her age she joined the Imperial Security Bureau. She specialized in interrogation. She worked hard, making her way up in rank, and became one of the best interrogators in her sector.
She waited for years building up her hatred for her families murder. Then after 3 years she found him. An enforcer unit came across a drifter who cut off the thumbs of his victims. Pulling some strings Em took over the case. She took and held the man for over a week as she sorted through his collection of thumbs, looking for her family's.
After she had found all four pairs she interrogated and tortured the drifter. She kept him between life and death asking him over and over why he killed her family. After almost a month she got her answer, "Because it was fun". After that she killed the man and cut off his thumbs.
Her interrogations after this became sloppy and without good results. She then retired and took up the trade that she had been raised to do, she became a mechanic.
She worked as a mechanic for a couple of years. Working for anybody who'd pay her. After an amazing job on a bounty hunters ship the owner made her an offer. To work for him as his mechanic on his ship as he took bounty hunting jobs around the galaxy. Em accepted the job offer and now Kango Fett and her do bounty hunting together.
