OVERVIEW

Emberlyn Kislo carries the calm refinement of Naboo nobility and the quiet spiritual gravity of the Rekali bloodline. She was born into converging legacies—House Veruna, Mandalorian heritage, Kiffar gifts, Dathomiri mysticism, and the powerful Force traditions of her mother’s family.

Measured in voice and deliberate in action, Emberlyn leads through stillness rather than spectacle. Where others press, she listens. Where others perform certainty, she studies the shape of a moment before committing herself.

Recently re-emerged after years lost between time and space aboard the Emberwind, Emberlyn now stands at the threshold of a new chapter: no longer only a searching daughter, but a woman carrying the weight of survival, inheritance, and unfinished destiny.

APPEARANCE

Emberlyn is a striking woman whose presence reflects both noble upbringing and the subtler weight of the Force. Olive-toned skin, brown hair, and vivid violet-gold eyes give her a beauty that feels refined rather than ostentatious. Her features carry the poise of Naboo’s aristocracy, yet there is something more difficult to name beneath the surface—an old stillness, a depth that suggests she is always half-listening to something beyond the visible world.

She stands at 5 ft 9 in with a graceful, balanced frame shaped more by endurance and discipline than brute strength. Her bearing is composed, her posture deliberate, and even at rest she conveys the impression of control.

In movement, Emberlyn blends courtly elegance with quiet readiness. Whether clothed in formal Veruna fashion or practical attire suited to travel and conflict, she retains the same impression: calm, luminous, and difficult to unsettle.

PERSONALITY

Emberlyn Kislo carries the calm composure of Naboo nobility balanced with resilience forged through years of uncertainty and isolation. She speaks thoughtfully and rarely raises her voice, preferring to observe the dynamics of a situation before committing to action. This quiet patience often leads others to underestimate her awareness, though those who know her quickly realize that little escapes her attention.

Her upbringing between the aristocratic courts of Naboo and the spiritual environment of the Rekali Sanctuary created a worldview that does not fit neatly within traditional ideological boundaries. Emberlyn sees the Force as something living and complex rather than a simple division between light and dark. Because of this perspective, she tends to approach conflict with caution rather than zeal.

Despite her composed demeanor, Emberlyn possesses a stubborn determination inherited from her mother. Once she commits to a goal she pursues it relentlessly, even when the odds appear hopeless. Where Mira often projects authority and intensity, Emberlyn leads through quiet presence and deliberate decision-making.

STRENGTHS

Noble Composure Emberlyn spent part of her childhood within the estates of House Veruna on Naboo. There she learned diplomacy, etiquette, and the subtle dynamics of political interaction. Even after losing contact with Naboo, those lessons remain evident in her calm speech and measured behavior.

Force Perception Emberlyn’s connection to the Force manifests strongly through awareness rather than raw power. She is highly sensitive to emotional shifts, danger, and disturbances within the Force, allowing her to anticipate events before others recognize them.

Psychometry Through her Kiffar ancestry Emberlyn possesses the rare ability to read memories and emotional impressions attached to objects or locations. These impressions can reveal fragments of past events, making her particularly skilled at investigation and tracking.

Shatterpoint Awareness Emberlyn inherited the rare ability known as Shatterpoint, originally developed by her grandmother Aaralyn Rekali. This ability allows her to perceive structural or emotional weaknesses within people, objects, and unfolding events.

Adaptable Combatant Rather than relying on rigid doctrine, Emberlyn fights through instinct and adaptability. She can transition between single-blade precision and dual-wield lightsaber combat depending on the circumstances of battle.

Skilled PilotEmberlyn began learning flight as a child while living among the nobles of Naboo. These early lessons developed into a natural piloting instinct that later proved essential during her travels across the galaxy and her command of the Emberwind.

Mechanical Aptitude Like her mother, Emberlyn demonstrates a natural understanding of technology and machinery. She has personally assisted in maintaining and modifying many of the systems aboard the Emberwind.

WEAKNESSES

Psychometric OverloadPowerful emotional echoes attached to objects or locations can overwhelm Emberlyn’s senses. When confronted with especially traumatic memories, she may experience intrusive visions or temporary disorientation.

Incomplete TrainingAlthough her natural abilities are strong, Emberlyn’s training in the Force has been inconsistent due to the chaotic events of her life. Opponents with decades of structured training may possess advantages in technique and discipline.

Burden of LegacyEmberlyn carries the weight of multiple powerful lineages. As the daughter of Mira Rekali and a noble of House Veruna, expectations follow her wherever she goes. This pressure sometimes leads her to question whether she can live up to those reputations.

Protective Instincts Emberlyn is fiercely loyal to those she cares about. When friends or family are threatened she often places herself in danger without hesitation.

Emotional Echoes Her sensitivity to the Force sometimes causes her to experience lingering emotional impressions in places marked by grief or violence, affecting her mood or judgment.

Only Human Despite her abilities, Emberlyn remains physically human and subject to injury, exhaustion, and the limitations of her body.

EARLY LIFE

Emberlyn Kislo was born in 860 ABY on Naboo, the only known child of Mira Rekali and Isar Kislo of House Veruna. From the beginning of her life she existed between two worlds that could not have been more different. Naboo offered elegance, diplomacy, and noble tradition. Dathomir offered ancient power, spiritual mystery, and the fierce independence of the Rekali lineage.

Her earliest years were spent moving between the estates of House Veruna and the fortified Rekali Sanctuary located near the Warlock Gate on Dathomir. On Naboo she was introduced to the quiet discipline expected of Veruna nobility. Tutors instructed her in history, politics, and etiquette, while the great halls of the Veruna estate exposed her to the complex social structures that governed Naboo's aristocratic society. Even at a young age Emberlyn displayed a natural composure during formal gatherings, observing conversations more often than participating in them.

Dathomir presented a vastly different environment. The Sanctuary, founded and fortified under the leadership of Aaralyn Rekali, served as a refuge where Mandalorians, witches, Force adepts, and allies could gather safely beyond the reach of galactic politics. Here Emberlyn encountered a culture rooted in survival, strength, and spiritual awareness.

Her grandmother Aaralyn quickly recognized that Emberlyn possessed a strong sensitivity to the Force. Rather than beginning formal instruction immediately, Aaralyn encouraged the child to simply experience the currents of the Force around her. Emberlyn spent many of her earliest memories wandering the grounds of the Sanctuary, listening to stories from travelers, and watching the shifting skies of Dathomir.

This unusual upbringing exposed her to multiple cultures before she was even old enough to understand them. Naboo's refinement, Mandalorian resilience, and Dathomiri mysticism all shaped Emberlyn's earliest sense of identity. While many children struggle to define who they are, Emberlyn grew up accepting that she belonged to several worlds at once.

EDUCATION
Emberlyn's formal education began primarily on Naboo, where House Veruna ensured she received the instruction appropriate for a noble child. Her tutors covered a wide array of subjects including galactic history, diplomacy, philosophy, and the political structure of the Republic and surrounding systems. Much of this education was designed to prepare her for the responsibilities expected of members of the Naboo aristocracy.

Despite her youth, Emberlyn proved to be a focused student. She developed a strong memory for historical events and quickly learned to read the subtle implications hidden within political discussions. Her tutors frequently remarked that she asked unusual questions for someone her age, often focusing less on what had happened and more on why people had made the choices they did.

Beyond academics, Emberlyn also received instruction in the traditional arts valued by Naboo society. Music, language, and etiquette were all part of her upbringing. These lessons instilled in her the calm demeanor and measured speech that would later become defining traits of her personality.

While living among the Veruna estates, Emberlyn also discovered a fascination with starships. Naboo's elegant starfighters and sleek royal craft captured her attention from the moment she first saw them launch from the palace hangars. Under supervision she began learning the fundamentals of flight at an unusually young age.

What began as simple curiosity quickly evolved into genuine talent. Emberlyn demonstrated an intuitive understanding of flight control systems and spatial awareness that impressed even experienced pilots within House Veruna's fleet. By the time she reached her early childhood years she was already capable of navigating training craft under supervision.

When she returned to Dathomir between visits to Naboo, her education continued in very different ways. At the Sanctuary she learned survival skills, mechanical repair, and the fundamentals of self-reliance. These lessons were rarely formal. Instead they were passed down through observation and practice among the people who lived within the Rekali stronghold.

Together, these dual forms of education produced a rare combination: a noble trained in diplomacy who was equally comfortable navigating starships or repairing machinery.

2dde611a-eba5-477b-b727-322ff261f1ea.png

THE FIRST LOSS
The first great turning point in Emberlyn's life occurred when she was eight years old, when her father Isar Kislo vanished during a galactic conflict.

For most of Emberlyn's early childhood, Isar had been a steady presence in her life on Naboo. Though his duties often required him to travel, he remained closely connected to House Veruna and ensured that Emberlyn was raised within its traditions. His disappearance therefore came as a shock not only to Emberlyn but to the entire Veruna household.

The exact circumstances surrounding his disappearance were never fully explained to her. What Emberlyn understood was simply that her father had been involved in a conflict and had never returned. Rumors circulated quietly among the nobles of Naboo, but no clear answer emerged.

For Emberlyn, the loss created a sudden fracture in the stable world she had known. The grand halls of House Veruna no longer felt as secure without her father's presence. Conversations among the adults became more guarded, and the estate itself seemed to carry an atmosphere of uncertainty.

Although she remained a member of the Veruna family, the disappearance weakened her connection to Naboo's aristocratic life. Her visits to Dathomir became more frequent, and the Rekali Sanctuary gradually began to feel more like home than the noble estates where she had been born.

Despite her youth, Emberlyn reacted to the loss with quiet resilience. Rather than expressing anger or grief openly, she withdrew into observation and reflection. It was during this period that her Force sensitivity began to manifest more clearly. She occasionally sensed emotional echoes in places her father had once visited, fragments of impressions that hinted at the deeper abilities she would later develop.

While the galaxy continued its endless conflicts, Emberlyn slowly adapted to life without the father she had once relied upon.

2dde611a-eba5-477b-b727-322ff261f1ea.png

THE SECOND LOSS
If the disappearance of her father had shaken Emberlyn's childhood, the second loss would redefine her life entirely.

Throughout the years following Isar's disappearance, Emberlyn still maintained contact with her mother Mira Rekali. Mira's visits to the Sanctuary and to Naboo became less frequent as galactic events drew her into increasingly dangerous conflicts, but she never vanished entirely from Emberlyn's life.

Those visits ended when Emberlyn was thirteen years old.

Mira disappeared without explanation, leaving behind only fragments of rumor and speculation. Unlike her father's disappearance, which had at least been connected to a known conflict, Mira's absence carried no clear explanation at all. One day she simply stopped returning.

For Emberlyn, the loss was devastating in a way she struggled to articulate. Mira had represented more than just family. She had embodied strength, independence, and a connection to the Force that Emberlyn both admired and hoped one day to understand.

With Mira gone, the Sanctuary remained her only true home. The people who lived there continued to guide and protect her, but the absence of her mother left a void that no one else could fill.

Rather than retreat into grief, Emberlyn responded with determination. As she grew older she began quietly gathering information about Mira's past travels and known enemies. The fragments she uncovered painted a picture of someone who had lived a dangerous life across many parts of the galaxy.

Eventually that determination evolved into a personal mission.

Emberlyn left the Sanctuary and began traveling across the galaxy searching for any sign of Mira Rekali. The search would eventually lead her into the Unknown Regions and toward the pirate stronghold where she finally discovered the truth: her mother had been captured and preserved in carbonite.

That discovery would ignite the events that ultimately brought Emberlyn face-to-face with the most dangerous challenge of her life.

THE SEARCH

After Mira Rekali disappeared when Emberlyn was thirteen, the question of her fate did not fade with time. At first the absence was treated as temporary. Mira had vanished before during dangerous campaigns and distant expeditions, and those who knew her understood that silence did not always mean death.

But months became years, and the pattern of her mother's return never came again.

During those early years Emberlyn remained connected to both Naboo and the Rekali Sanctuary. House Veruna ensured she continued receiving the education and guidance expected of a noble descendant, while the Sanctuary remained the place where she felt the deeper pull of family and heritage. Yet even while fulfilling those obligations, Emberlyn quietly began gathering fragments of information about her mother's last known movements.

What began as private curiosity gradually hardened into determination.

Records were examined. Trade routes were traced. Old contacts of Mira Rekali were identified and questioned where possible. Some conversations occurred in legitimate spaceports and diplomatic halls. Others took place in shadowed corners of the galaxy where information was traded more carefully.

It was during this period that the Emberwind became central to Emberlyn's life. The Coruscant-class heavy courier provided both freedom and independence, allowing her to travel where official channels could not follow. With its long-range capability and resilient design, the ship carried her across Republic space, Outer Rim worlds, and eventually toward the increasingly lawless territories near the Unknown Regions.

Years passed in this quiet pursuit.

Emberlyn learned how easily people disappeared beyond the reach of formal authority. Conflicts were forgotten. Prisoners were sold. Entire stations changed ownership overnight. The deeper she searched, the more she understood that answers rarely lived in official records. They lived in rumor networks, pirate trade routes, salvage registries, and whispers exchanged between captains who preferred not to ask questions.

Slowly, a pattern began to emerge.

Several scattered references pointed toward a remote system operating outside major hyperspace lanes. Ships disappeared there with unusual frequency, and fragments of criminal chatter suggested that the system had become a gathering place for pirate factions who specialized in capturing high-value targets.

The clues were incomplete, but they were the first consistent trail Emberlyn had uncovered in years.

So she followed it.

The journey that began as a daughter's search was about to lead her into the most dangerous territory she had ever entered.

2dde611a-eba5-477b-b727-322ff261f1ea.png

THE PIRATE STRONGHOLD

The trail eventually led Emberlyn to a system that did not officially exist on most navigational charts.

Located far from major hyperspace corridors and shielded by unstable stellar debris, the region had become a haven for pirate factions who preferred to operate outside the notice of major governments. Ships passed through the system constantly, but few of them appeared in legitimate trade records.

The stronghold itself had once been an orbital station built during an earlier era of expansion. By the time Emberlyn arrived it had been heavily modified, its original structure buried beneath layers of crude extensions, salvaged armor plating, and improvised docking rings capable of holding dozens of vessels.

It was less a station than a floating city of criminals.

Smugglers, raiders, traffickers, and mercenary crews moved freely through its corridors. Cargo changed hands without documentation. Prisoners were traded like commodities. Information flowed through the station in fragments, each rumor carrying a piece of truth hidden within exaggeration and deception.

Emberlyn did not arrive openly announcing her purpose.

Years of searching had taught her caution. Instead she entered the station under the guise of an independent pilot seeking information and trade opportunities. The role was believable enough. The Emberwind's presence in the outer docks marked her as a traveler capable of operating beyond conventional space, something many within the station respected.

For several days she observed.

Patterns of movement. Security rotations. Which corridors were watched and which were neglected. Which crews controlled specific sections of the station. Conversations in the cantinas revealed small details that would have been invisible to anyone unwilling to listen carefully.

Slowly the rumors began to align.

Somewhere within the station's deeper storage sectors the pirates were holding a collection of high-value "assets" taken during various raids and conflicts. These were not ordinary prisoners meant for ransom. They were trophies, bargaining pieces, or captives whose existence had been deliberately erased.

When Emberlyn finally located the chamber where those prisoners were kept, the truth struck with brutal clarity.

Among the sealed preservation units was a carbonite slab bearing a name she had searched for across half the galaxy.

Mira Rekali.

The years of uncertainty ended in that single moment. What remained was no longer a search.

It was a rescue.

2dde611a-eba5-477b-b727-322ff261f1ea.png

ESCAPE

Seeing Mira Rekali suspended in carbonite ended the search instantly. What followed required speed rather than caution.

The chamber holding the captured prisoners was not designed for quiet retrieval. Security systems monitored the vault continuously, and the carbonite frames were locked behind heavy control interfaces meant to prevent unauthorized access. Disabling the restraints triggered multiple alarms throughout the station, transforming the quiet storage levels into a rapidly closing trap.

Emberlyn did not hesitate.

Years of discipline and survival instincts carried her forward as she forced the release mechanisms and prepared the carbonite slab for transport. The moment the containment seals disengaged, warning sirens began echoing through the corridors of the station.

Security forces moved quickly. Pirate crews flooded the surrounding passageways, drawn by the sudden activation of emergency systems and the promise of protecting whatever prize had just been threatened.

The first confrontation occurred before Emberlyn even reached the docking corridors.

Blaster fire lit the narrow halls as armed pirates attempted to block her path. Emberlyn responded with the calm precision that had become instinct over the years. She deflected incoming shots, pushed through the advancing defenders, and forced open a path toward the outer hangars where the Emberwind waited.

The station erupted into chaos as word spread that one of the preserved captives was being taken.

Dock crews scrambled to prepare pursuit ships while security teams attempted to seal bulkheads ahead of her. Several corridors were forced open by sheer momentum as Emberlyn refused to allow the station to close around her.

By the time she reached the hangar bay, the alarm systems had spread throughout the entire stronghold.

The Emberwind powered to life the moment she reached its boarding ramp.

Engines roared through the docking chamber as the courier lifted from its berth, clearing the station's gravity locks just as the first pirate fighters began launching in pursuit. Blaster fire streaked across the void while the Emberwind accelerated away from the chaotic structure of the stronghold.

For the first time in years, Emberlyn had Mira Rekali in her possession again.

But the escape had only just begun.

2dde611a-eba5-477b-b727-322ff261f1ea.png

THE CATASTROPHE

The Emberwind cleared the pirate station at full thrust, but the stronghold did not allow its prize to vanish without resistance.

Within seconds of departure, multiple interceptor craft launched from the station's outer docking rings. Pirate fighters spread outward in a wide pursuit pattern, attempting to intercept the courier before it could safely escape into hyperspace. The Coruscant-class vessel was built for speed, but it had never been intended to outrun a coordinated fighter pursuit.

Blaster fire streaked across the void as the interceptors closed distance. Several shots struck the Emberwind's shields while others flashed past its hull, forcing Emberlyn to maneuver aggressively through the dense orbital debris surrounding the pirate station.

The courier fought to maintain distance.

Navigation systems began calculating hyperspace coordinates even as incoming fire continued to hammer the ship's defensive systems. The Emberwind's engines pushed to their limits as Emberlyn attempted to break the pirates' targeting locks long enough to initiate the jump.

For a moment, it seemed she might succeed.

Then one of the pursuing fighters fired a missile.

The warhead struck the Emberwind along its starboard side, detonating against the armored wing structure. The impact did not destroy the vessel, but it tore through several external systems and sent shockwaves cascading through the ship's internal framework. Power fluctuated across multiple decks. Navigation arrays destabilized. Secondary control systems began cycling into emergency protocols. With the pursuing fighters still closing in, Emberlyn made the only decision available.

She initiated the hyperspace jump anyway.

The damaged navigation systems attempted to complete the calculations as the hyperdrive activated. Instead of entering a stable corridor, the Emberwind was thrown into an unstable vector far beyond the intended coordinates. Hyperspace turbulence surged through the vessel as the malfunctioning systems struggled to maintain structural integrity. Emergency containment fields activated throughout the ship as the hyperdrive attempted to stabilize its path.

The effort failed.

Critical systems collapsed one by one, forcing the Emberwind's automated survival protocols to activate.

Within the cockpit, Emberlyn was sealed into emergency stasis as the ship attempted to preserve its sole conscious crew member. Mira Rekali remained suspended in carbonite, locked within the containment frame that had already preserved her for years. With its crew incapacitated and its navigation destroyed, the damaged courier drifted through deep space along a trajectory no functioning vessel would ever have chosen.

Time passed.

To the galaxy beyond the ship's hull, years slipped by as the Emberwind wandered through distant regions of space, carried by unstable hyperspace currents and slowly degrading emergency systems.

Inside the vessel, the silence remained absolute.

2dde611a-eba5-477b-b727-322ff261f1ea.png

RE-EMERGENCE

The Emberwind did not return to known space in a dramatic burst of light or the arrival of rescue ships.

Instead, the damaged courier emerged quietly along the edge of an outer hyperspace route, its systems barely maintaining structural stability after years of uncontrolled drift. Long-dormant diagnostics began cycling through failing subsystems as the ship struggled to restore minimal operational power.

Inside the vessel, emergency protocols finally began to collapse.

Stasis containment systems that had preserved Emberlyn for years flickered under the strain of depleted energy reserves. Warning signals echoed through the silent corridors as the medical chamber attempted to complete its final programmed sequence.

Slowly, the chamber opened.

For Emberlyn, consciousness returned in fragments. The last memory she retained was the violent surge of hyperspace turbulence and the collapse of the Emberwind's systems. The transition from that moment to waking again felt almost instantaneous.

But the galaxy beyond the ship's hull had continued moving without her. Navigation records, degraded system logs, and partial chronometric data revealed what her senses could not immediately grasp. The Emberwind had not been drifting for days or weeks.

Years had passed.

The vessel itself bore the scars of that time. Hull plating had weathered countless micro-impacts. Several systems remained permanently offline, while others functioned only through improvised emergency routing. The ship had survived, but barely.

Mira Rekali remained within the carbonite frame where Emberlyn had secured her during the escape.

The search that had defined so many years of Emberlyn's life had succeeded.

Yet the cost of that success was only beginning to reveal itself. Alone within the damaged Emberwind, surrounded by the quiet aftermath of lost time, Emberlyn Kislo awakened to a galaxy that had changed without her.

And a future that was no longer certain.
