Eleonore Zoltán is the second child and only daughter of Aymeric Zoltán, the patriarch of House Zoltán. Growing up, she had a tumultuous relationship with his father, and by extension, older brother. She always has ambitions that was stiffed by her father’s traditionalist outlook. Her father married her to the recently ascended Duke of Ropagi II, Daniel Sŏl, when she was 21, while the childless, widower Duke was 35. There was clearly no love in the relationship, but the bright young Duchess proved herself to be an equal strategic partner to the Duke, and in return Daniel treated her as his closest confidant.
The marriage was childless for a while, rumoured to be on part of the Duke, due to the same circumstances in his previous marriage. However, after almost 12 years of marriage, Eleonore got pregnant, and together the couple welcomed Eugene Sŏl as the heir. Yet, misfortune can’t seem to escape the two, as Daniel died in a hunting injury just a couple of years later. With her family name back, and the backing of Ropagi II royal court, Eleonore finally has the means to to eclipse her late father’s and brother’s legacies through her regency.
