| Powers and Abilities |

Lightsaber training - Selah practices the Soresu and Ataru fighting styles, and his ability with his lightsaber was great enough for him to survive the ferocious battle of Coruscant during th
eir invasion, thereafter he proved capable of fending off several Sith simultaneously during the Sacking of Zeltros. Trained as a Jedi Sentinel, while he does not excel in fighting, neither does he lack, maintaining a balance between his bladework and Force powers. In comparison to the Guardians of the Jedi Order, he is lacking in formal training with the other five styles of lightsaber combat. Rather than engaging in the energetic acrobatics typical of most Ataru specialists, Ekul tends to stay grounded during lightsaber duels. That being said, he is fully capable of utilising acrobatic attacks and manoeuvres during combat. Though far into his elderly years, he still possesses great strength and has shown himself adept in hand-to-hand combat, namely the martial art known as Broken Gate, developed and taught by the Jedi Temple.

Force abilities - Ekul Selah has the ability to use Force Phase and is a skilled Jedi Watchman which has come in handy on Nar Shaddaa. On Mytuss VII, at age sixteen, he displayed the ability to use telekinesis to a high degree as he was able to levitate himself during meditation for three days in a crystal cave, as he performed the creation of his first lightsaber. He is highly attuned to the utilisation of the Force to augment his bodies physical capabilities; being able to perform impressive acrobatics, leap huge heights and distances and run with incredible agility. Selah's sense of danger is also quite powerful, as he demonstrated this ability time and time again when he survived in the Coruscant Underworld for seven months, constantly evading Sith and their patrols alike. His perception of the Force has allowed him unique insight into the manipulation of the cosmic energies, rather than seeing a list of abilities one can use with the Force, a category from which to select and choose, he sees it only on the manipulation level. He sees there are no abilities, and what people perceive as abilities are merely various forms of manipulation of the energies that comprise the Force.

| Biography |

Ages 0-10
It began on the world of Rendili, the first Primeday of the year, of the first month, sixty-seven years ago. His father spent most of his time working at a local nursery while the family of four lived in small apartments where they could. Ekul Selah was the twin brother of Nodnarb, who had been born twenty-six minutes before he had. They regularly moved town as their parents sought out better and newer jobs. There was some strain put on the family towards the end of their first decade of life when they were unexpectantly stolen from, leaving them fifty-thousand credits in debt. There were the few incidents in his life that were both joyful and some full of pain, but such was childhood, and as ever, in the end it was filled with happiness.

Ages 10-20
Ekul Selah had always shown odd signs, where he acted fast or something nearby shifted without reason, as though something invisible had nudged it. It wasn't until he was just turned twelve when he showed the true attributes of a Jedi, namely that of sacrifice. A childhood friend of his, Leroy, had taken him around the bushes outside of town. They rode their air bikes for the evening, when they were surrounded by other students from their school. They wanted to fight Leroy, but Ekul interjected and stood in their way while Leroy fled. This would ultimately result in his severe and first fight, where he was beaten bloody and unconscious. To this day, he never regretted his choice. To spare his friend, he had sacrificed his own worldly desire for nonviolence. At age thirteen, after reports had reached the council of Selah's sensitivity, both Ekul and his twin brother were taken to Coruscant to learn and train under the tutelage of Master Ko. Ekul spent earnest years studying, fascinated with the concepts of the Jedi Watchman, the Force and all they held dear. On the other hand, his brother did not share the same sentiment as he spiralled into mental disarray.

It was late one night, when his brother showed himself to be a paragon of the Force. It was often regarded that genius was closely related to insanity, and Nodnarb had shown this. In a fit of pure rage, hysteria and suffering from severe hallucinations due to schizophrenia. He lashed out viciously against the Temple guards who were reluctant to attack the sixteen year old boy. It was moments later he vanished. He had been standing in the foyer of the Temple, a little before midnight, and he was gone in a second. There was no physical way of describing what Ekul Selah had seen, and it would not be for another two decades that he would realise his brother had accidentally uncovered the secret to Fold Space, an ancient but indescribably rare force ability. Ko and Ekul were assigned to track his brother, and would do so for the next three months on Mytuss VII. When a mission when haywire, Ko was murdered by Nodnarb, and Ekul found himself imprisoned on the Spice Mines of Kessel with a Force Containment Collar.

Ages 20-30
Five years past, and nothing had changed for Ekul. He made friends with a Mandalorian named Dott, and a saboteur of the Imperial movement. Their days were bleak and dreary, but quickly made a change for the better. An expedition deep into the mines had gone horribly wrong. A creature of unknown origins had launched an assault on the slavers and slaves alike, slaughtering them in their dozens. Ekul found himself distanced from the group, and running for his life as this spectre of darkness chased him through the mines, where even his eyesight failed him, such was the darkness of the tunnels. For two days he lived on scraps, wandering aimlessly until he came upon an opening, and his eyes feasted on a sight he beheld. It was the Coruscant Temple, remade in the mines. He could only wonder at who or what had created this master piece out of the stone, and it was then the great head of a Duinuogwuin reared itself in sight. It was not chance they had met, but fate. Though the Force, the Duinuogwuin, who happened to be a Jedi Master from the New Sith Wars, orchestrated the attack to bring Ekul Selah to him. He unchained him from his collar, and in his dying moments, he granted him three gifts. A lightsaber of craftsmanship that denoted a Master, the story of his spectacular life, and his parted knowledge of the Force. Dott would eventually catch up with him, and the Duinuogwuin would become one with the Force as his time of living had come to an end.

Dott and Ekul scaled the tunnels, and found the entire complex abandoned. An eerie silence followed them out, and the two parted ways, and had since never chanced upon one another again. Ekul made his way, jumping planet to planet as he tried to find a way home, until he had finally made it to Coruscant. He was greeted with great praise and applause, and also sorrow, for they had not heard the news of Ko's death, but they had suspected such when a disturbance had been felt in the Force. It was in these years that Ekul tracked down his brother to the fringes of the galaxy, and finally in a duel on the world of Troiken, they fought. For three days and two nights, he refused to give up as Nodnarb did his best to flee into the jungle, and Ekul continued to track him down, leading to a final duel near a spring. In the end, Nodnarb had did his best to kill Ekul, dragging the both of them under the water. It was only chance that had made Ekul the victor. Nodnarb had caught his foot, and twisting his body to release himself had lowered his guard momentarily, that was enough for Ekul to wrap his arm around his throat, performing a hold that was taught by those practitioners of Broken Gate. There was no other way for it to end. If Ekul had led him go, he could not say how many more would die, and he too would be one of them. If he killed Nodnarb, that was the end of it, for good. A sensitive topic for Ekul Selah, for in the end, Nodnarb had still been his brother, and his blood.

Ages 30-40
Ekul Selah became a recluse of the Order, and moved himself to Troiken. He acted as a Jedi Watchman, overlooking the happenings of the planet and providing security, safety and order to the inhabitants. He acted as a mediator for the High Council and the local government, studying politics and the Force. He delved into trains of thought that were once considered banished by the Order, and others frowned upon by the High Council. A strong and firm believer in the Potentium, believing the Force was innately good, and the Dark Side was merely a sick perversion of the Force as a result of someones own personality. This was clearly frowned upon, and formerly banished, as it opened up the potential for these few Force Users to access abilities ordinarily considered innately Dark, and through perseverance, only a few did not succumb to the Dark Side. Though Jedi Selah had never dabbled in these other powers, and instead grew an addiction to the study of ancient and lost abilities in the Force. It was during this time he would spend extended periods of time in the Unknown Regions and Wild Space, studying the Killik Aing-Tii.

Ages 40-50
Time seemed only to quicken with age, and yet he was a padawan. Those around him, of whom he grew up with in the Temple had become great Knights and Masters, and some of those great ones had perished. He held a strong and firm belief, and stubbornly, that one should not become a Knight or Master without spiritually mastering the Force, and not merely understanding it. These were two completely different things in his mind, and he blamed their deaths as a result for their ignorance to the deep spirituality one could obtain if they opened their mind to the countless possibilities of the Force, but such thoughts originated from his beliefs in the Unifying Force and the Potentium. Still, he was ever the recluse, rarely the eye of the Order drew to his humble abode.

Ages 50-60
As he began to enter his fifties, there were so few Jedi that were still living from the time of his own training, and yet he was ever the Padawan. He had not achieved a state of nirvana with the Force. Younger Jedi continued to flow through the doors of the Coruscant Temple, unaware of the ageing Jedi that sat in the decrepit ruins of a former Jedi Enclave on Troiken. His travels to visit the Aing-Tii became rare, as he knew he could not achieve the ability to Fold Space, and effectively teleport as his brother had. He came to an understanding that some people should not have that power, and it was an indication of the Force that he was one of those people. He believed this, once more due to his beliefs, as followers of the Unifying Force oft thought themselves as following a destiny, trying to seek out their purpose in life, rather than the traditional Jedi who lived in the moment, as they believed in the Living Force. His visits with the Kallik were as frequent as they ever were, once a year for twelve weeks.

Ages 60-Present
At the age of sixty-seven, Ekul Selah now runs the Chapter House on Nar Shaddaa after moving operations since the war with the One Sith raged on. He had been present during the Sacking of Coruscant, where he was unable to escape off-planet as the other Jedi did. Forced to live alone on the run for seven months in the Coruscant Underworld, before later re-appearing, after being presumed. dead for those months he had been missing, a man come back from the dead, on the world of Zeltros in the midst of a battle. He had fought bravely, defeating a two Sith and saving a Jedi. After these events, his notoriety in the Order grew, and his name was heard more than it had ever been. Most Jedi had never heard of the Lone Watchman that haunted Troiken, as some a few decades ago had gone to calling him. Instantly it was recognised he held controversial views, and not only on the Force, but on their Grandmaster, most notably after she had disbanded the High Council. He believed her ultimately unfit for duty, and was baffled a mere twenty-two year old could not only be a Jedi Master of the Force, but a Grandmaster. It was around this time too, he allowed himself to be granted Knightship as he had finally unravelled the mystery of Force Phase, capable of moving his body through matter, such as walls or doors. Since this happening, he has followed in the footsteps of his greatest idol; The Dark Woman. He has sworn the most formidable form of fealty to the Force, in a show of proving Jedi should have no possessions, nor an identity, he has renounced his name to show his humility to the Force. In present time, Ekul Selah, now known as The Dark Man, is considered a controversial, unorthodox, mysterious and unconventional Jedi, but one of ultimate loyalty to the Force.
