Description:
The EMBU has continued to be one of the most lethal war droids ever created in the galaxy. Designed with programming that allowed it to mimic the best combat techniques of a vast number of Echani, it has been used over and over again to turn the tides of battle in favor of their wielders. However, the droids possessed several flaws. One, the laminanium armor was expensive to produce, which increased the price of the droids, and two, the droids themselves were not specifically capable of dealing with electro-magnetic blasts. While the presence of the personal shield could deal with that, it was susceptible to overloading, and eventually the droids could be shut down.

The Mk.II version of the droid removes the laminanium armor in favor of armorplast plates coated in Agrinium. It retains the usage of the combat shield as its primary defense against energy and kinetic attacks.

The same friend or foe variant that was applied to the YVH-2s has been applied to this model as well. The droid is capable of picking out most vong disguised as other species. Another modification made was the removal of the droids ability to wireless uplink with network systems, and communicate with the use of internal communications software. This was done to make it significantly harder for a slicer to hack into one of the droids and turn it against its handlers. The droids operate much as their living counterparts do, and rely on external communicators such as a comlink.

The droid is slightly lighter, and slightly faster than the Mk.I because of the components that were removed, but it would be imperceptibly so.
