DESCRIPTION
The Eaters of the Dead cult is a Dark Side group of Shamans associated with Clan Vereen. While not considered members of the Clan, they live within the Clan’s holdings, make their home on the Clan’s planets, and often accompany their War Kindred into battle. The Eaters of the Dead are looked upon with some mild distrust, the Kindreds are not normally keen on watching the shamans devour the bodies of their fallen foes and their Dark Side tendencies have caused some stir among some of the Skalds. In the end the Jarls agreed, reluctantly, to allow the Cult sanctum within their space on a single planet within the nebula. They are seen as separate entities, often only allowed on raids in small groups because of their fearsome reputation and because they do not seek the same resources the Kindred seek during raids or battles. While this uneasy alliance is not looked down upon by the Clan, their place in the Clan's hierarchy is a subject of debate. Some members of the Cult are happy to take orders from a Jarl or Skald without issue, while others believe only their Beast Lord and the Mand'alor has any right to command them. They follow the Resol'nare, but seem to have their own take on its tenants, thus resulting in very little association with individual War Kindreds.

The Eaters of the Dead have a spiritualistic style, worshiping death, blood, and killing, practicing this worship through eating their enemies fallen warriors. They use the blood and bones of their enemies in the performing of rituals and blood rites to tap into the feral side of the Force. They drink blood and eat the flesh of their victims, which allows them to glean some flashes of the memories and emotions of those they have slain, with stronger, more powerful shamans gleaning more than hazy images and distorted sounds, but never do they receive more than a few visions from the perspective of those they have slain. Additionally, they claim to gain strength and power from eating the dead, their own wounds heal faster, they recover spent Force energy quicker, and are able to induce Force Visions. The stronger the victim was in the Force, the more this is affected, with Sithspawn being particularly potent meals for the cult. Often before battle the Cult will devour several captives and mark themselves with Blood runes.

They are trained Mandalorian warriors from several species, including crazed Madclaw Wookiee prophets, massive Yuzzem warriors, avian Rishii birds of prey, reptilian Barabel hunters, feral Firrerreo, like Sklor the Beast Lord of the Cult, and its undisputed ruler, and human cannibals, and other similar species, and are trained in several shamanistic abilities, practicing Jarvashqiine Shamanism, Dathomiri Witchcraft, and traditional Force powers, sometimes channeling their power together into a choir at the risk of the leader who directs them. This includes interpreting Force Visions, and receiving visions of the Future, predicting weather and tectonic shifts, though those have little battlefield relevance. They claim to be able to commune with the deceased, especially the spirits of those they have slain, with some powerful members rumored to be able to direct these spirits in some fashion when supported by several other shamans. Force Sense is one ability all Eaters share, along with Dark Rage which they use to enhance their physical abilities when in battle. Force Lightning, Telekinesis, Plant Surge, Animal Control, and Enhance Attribute are often found among shamans in varying degrees of power and ability.

In battle they can act as support, providing others with small portions of their strength allowing them to fight just a bit harder for a longer duration, staving off exhaustion while still participating in combat as Shock troopers, or support using their full strength and concentration to create something akin to a Force Storm through weather manipulation or raise a small army of corpses to fight for them. The Eaters can also use their abilities to enhance their strength as shock troopers, using Dark Rage to make themselves much stronger and tougher in combat, hacking enemies into pieces while they fight in melee, however they often have difficulty distinguishing friend from foe in this berserk state. Shamans range from Warriors to Einherjar in terms of rank and experience, directly proportionate to their level of skill and ability, though those that march to war with the Kindreds are not very powerful Force users, normally between Apprentice level of knowledge and ability and experienced Knight.

They aren't Masters, not a one.
