Easter Egg Hunt [Cairyn]

Midday

As the sun peaked in the sky in all it's fiery glory, a lone Scion-class stealth corvette eclipsed the sun's light as it floated down onto the planet's surface, landing in a rather small clearing within the jungle. Onboard, two members of the CIS were on board, Cady L'kai and Cairyn Midore. They had come to this world in so that they may acquire several acklay eggs to raise some of the beasts as their own.

As the ship began powering down, Cady went to find Cairyn to ensure he was ready for what they had come to do. Once she found him, Cady would push her hair behind her ears before speaking to him. "So, you are clear on the mission, yes?" she asked. "We're probably going to run into some deep chit down there with all the big beasties prowling around the jungles. I'd rather not cause a national incident so it will only be us two going out there. We are going to need to watch each other's backs, alright?"

There was scarcely anything Cairyn enjoyed more than getting new pets, more creatures to adore and use for his unique methods of entertainment. While some viewed creatures such as Griz or the Acklays that were this day's goal to be nothing more but beasts to be avoided if not exterminated, Cairyn treated them as if they were his own children. Rather, if the young Teevan were to miraculously have some sort of spawn, he'd likely treat his beast companions far better.

The prospect of adding to his ever-growing collection of friend had the young boy particularly energetic. Such energy made it impossible for the boy to remain still, him rolling on the balls of his feet. "Nah, we'll be fine. If they attack ya, you probably deserve it." He was far too happy to be concerned with anything so silly as safety was. "What could possibly go wrong?"

Cady scoffed at the boy. She did not fear anything she might run into the jungle, but she did not wish to be here any longer than she needed. There was business to take care of back home. This was just some recreational leave she needed to acquire some assets. "I could think of a number of things. Come on. It's a couple of miles to the Acklay nest. We should get moving before sundown." she said before walking towards the ramp. The smell of flora swiftly invaded the air inside the ship. It was a strong scent. Undescribable, really. 'Nature' would have to be the best way to do it. Cady stepped onto the dense earth at the bottom of the ramp and observed her surrounding, carefully scanning the area for anything she might need to look out for.

"Hm. Let's see..." Cady opened a holomap of the surrounding area. A singular path was highlighted on the holomap, indicating the fastest route towards the Acklay nest. "This way. Due northwest." she said as she pointed in the direction the map's path was indicating.

If Cairyn heard the scoff, he made no move to respond to it. Nor did he make any indication of whether or not he took offense to it. His expression remained blank, whatever thoughts that could possibly playing around in that brain of his (if any) left to imagination. "Surely nothing you don't think we can handle, right?" He really didn't understand what she was so worried about. If they died, they died. If they didn't, they'd get some Acklays. There was hardly a downside to this. Well, no, if he died he wouldn't be able to care for his pets and he couldn't have that.

With a skip in his step he followed off the ramp, not waiting for direction as he continued on in a random path he decided on. His trek ended just as soon as it started, it being in the opposite direction Cady indicated. The over-exaggerated turn about had him struggling for balance for a moment. "Wait for me!" He exclaimed, tripping over his own feet in his enthusiasm.
