Description: The E-wing escort starfighter was built intended to outmatch and outperform its predecessor, the X-wing. Though it had initial problems, it soon became renowned for its exemplary abilities in space combat. It never, however, reached the popularity of the X-wing. The E-wing was used primarily by small, elite starfighter companies. In time, it began to become more commonly used during and after the Yuuzhan Vong war. Though it eventually came to be one of the better class of starfighters, it is no longer in production. It was highly regarded for its time as a well-rounded assault craft capable of high speeds.

E-wings can now be found at various scrapyards. It is rare that someone may be selling an E-wing, but they are not yet completely extinct.
