OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

  • Intent: To create an armor sub for Krest's personal war mount.
  • Image Source: Deathwing from Blizzard, modified by [member="Tirdarius"]
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Restricted Missions: N/A
  • Primary Source: Kakdijs Zuta
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Sith Empire
  • Model: N/A
  • Affiliation: Krest
  • Modularity: No
  • Production: Unique
  • Material: Alchemized Sith Steel, cybernetic parts.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Multi-Purpose
  • Weight: 150 kg.
  • Quality: 9
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The metal plates keep Durgen together through alchemy and simple hammer and nail. It is both the creatures armor and source of life. Because of this it exudes the Darkside.
  • Unlike most Sith Steel this metal does not absorb electricity of any kind and instead acts like normal metal when electrified. This prevents the armor from acting as a lightning rod and sending the current through Durgen's body due to Sith Steel discharging when ever it touches anything.
  • The armor is as much armor plates as mechanical gears, combining machine, Sithspawn, and Sithsteel.
Strengths:
  • The thick metal plates are lightsaber and blasterproof.
  • Most of the metal covers the soft spot of it's chest.
  • With the artificial might the alchemy armor offers the beast can shred thick plates of durasteel with it's claws and jaw.
Weaknesses:
  • The metal keeps Durgen together. If it gets taken off, the beast will fall apart.
  • The plates cover its chest, mouth, and back, but does little for it's legs or wings.
  • As it's alchemized the armor can be destroyed by Force Light just like it's wearer.
  • EMPs will disable Durgen as part of his movement is cybernetic based.
  • Electrocution will fry the circuits of the armor rendering Durgen immobile.
DESCRIPTION

After Krest's war mount was injured almost beyond repair the elder Zabrak decided to experiment with grafting metal to flesh. Durgen was given to the Alchemists within the Sith Empire to see if they could keep the beast together. The end result was Durgen becoming even more warped than it was as a Sithspawn and even more frightening to behold.

It's claws and the lower part of it's jaw are made of the same steel that covers it's body, run by a combination of Sith magic and cybernetics. With this, the beast can rip into tanks to rip out their pilots or slowly crush a fully armored soldier.

  • Alchemy roughly doubles the weight of any material used, and the dragon species is 13 meters long.
  • Horse armor (barding) weighed approx. 15 kg, and a horse is four times smaller. Even without alchemy, you're looking at the 60 kg range. Up the weight to 120 kg, please.

  • Meaning it fries any organic tissue inside? If so, this should be added to Weaknesses.
  1. What happens if the creature is exposed to some form of Force nullification (Ysalamiri, Voidstone, etc.)? Will the armor hold together?

Changed the weight to 150 due to the cybernetics involved. Wasn't sure how heavy it would be, but I imagine it would be even heavier with the cybernetics.

For the electricity I view it as neither good or bad. Sith Swords act as lightning rods, pulling currents into them then immediately discharging as soon as it touches something else. Due to the nature of the plates across Durgen's body, this would just send the electricity into it's body and fry the cybernetics.

And as for the force nullifying, I'm not sure. A Sith Sword doesn't stop being lightsaber resistant because of a ysalimir bubble, so I'm not sure what would happen to Durgen asides from the usual effects from his species.

  • That's a significant Weakness then. Please add it to the list.
As for the Force nullification, you're correct. The lightsaber resistance stems from permanent alteration on a molecular level, so it wouldn't be affected. Just add the Electricity weakness and this'll be good to go.
