SPECIAL FEATURES
- Swings Both Ways - After implanting into a given surface, the Silver/Gold alloy channels an electromagnetic pulse just before detonation
- Shield? What Shield? - The Blackjack uses its highly conductive Silver/Gold spikes to generate a powerful EMP that deactivates local shields before detonation
Weaknesses:
- Indiscriminate - The EMP doesn't have a team. Any shields caught in the blast will be deactivated, leaving both enemy and ally vulnerable
The EHI Spike, or Blackjack, is a versatile explosive. Designed to be used in a Siege/Heist/Boarding scenario. Ideally meant to be fired from a grenade launcher, the Blackjack uses its spikes to implant itself into the impacting surface. Once stuck in, the Spikes carry and release a heavy EMP that deactivates any surrounding shields. Once the EMP has done its job, a small fusion explosion annihilates the area in a 25m radius.
Structural Shields are what the EHI Spike specialises in. That Vault got a shield protecting it from ordnance? Stick the Blackjack in and stand well back. The Ions are channeled directly into the structure, frying the shield from the inside out. Once fried, the explosion quickly destroys the surrounding surface.
