NAME: Drexia Locke

FACTION: None

RANK: Engineer

SPECIES: Human

Occupation: Mechanic/Engineer

AGE: 24

GENDER: Female

HEIGHT: 5’5”

WEIGHT: 130lbs

EYES: Chocolate Brown

HAIR: Light brown with blonde highlights, long and wavy, usually kept in a ponytail

SKIN: Tanned

FORCE SENSITIVE: No.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STRENGTHS (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :

Expert Mechanic - Drexia is a well trained and highly skilled mechanic. She is adaptive and able to fix things, temporarily, even if she doesn’t have all the right parts for the job. Even if she isn’t entirely familiar with a particular thing that needs fixing she can usually figure it out easily without assistance.

Physically Fit - While not formally trained in any form of combat, Drexia does a lot of heavy lifting and exerts her body a lot in the process of doing her job so she is kept in near peak physical condition.

Quick Study - Drexia is good at thinking of things on the spot and exercising common sense easily. While she doesn’t have any formal book education what she lacks in that aspect she makes up for with this and the fact that she can adapt easily and is easily learns new things.

Decisive - Drexia makes decisions and sticks to them no matter who they hurt and who they piss off if they’re best for everyone as a whole, in her opinion.

Calm Under Pressure - Sometimes the things that she needs to repair cause life and death situations. Drexia never lets this get to her and is always cool under the weight of this.

Pleasant Demeanor - Unless she is under a stressful situation you can always count on her to be mostly pleasant. She does have the tendency to rub certain personality types the wrong way but she never has ill intentions toward others without good cause.

Amatuer Pilot - While her expertise is not in flying aircrafts she’s got minimal knowledge in the art. While one might not trust her to fly through a asteroid minefield if your pilot so happens to croak and you need to crash land or crudely land in a docking area with some issues, she’s your girl.

WEAKNESSES:
Non-Combatant - Drexia, as stated before, is not trained with the use of any weapons. While she may be able to apply brute force on the fly she isn’t formally trained with any weapon and could easily be outsmarted if attacked.

Uneducated - While she isn’t unintelligent she lacks booksmarts and will often get lost in a conversation if the other people are well read.

Stubborn/Pig-headed - Drexia while usually a very even-tempered person will defend certain decisions of her’s with blind stubbornness to the point of becoming angry if someone disagrees. This often only applies to things having to do with her work, though.

Blunt - Mostly only comes into play when it comes to her job. She will be very straight forward and upfront about whether a repair will hold or whether or not things will work out right. She’s not going to sugar coat it even if it means telling you that unless you somehow find her the specific part she needs that everyone on the ship is going to die. However, even after the situation has passed this tends to stick with people.

APPEARANCE:
Drexia is in great physical shape though her muscles don’t diminish her womanly curves. She is often dressed in ratty clothing and coveralls covered in all manner of dirt and grime. Though she does maintain hygiene she can often be found with dirt or grease smeared across the tanned skin of her face and her hair is often very messy in its ever present ponytail.

BIOGRAPHY:
Drexia was born in 106ABY to two impoverished humans. Her mother, unable to seek proper medical care died shortly after birthing her lovely daughter due to an infection and her father was left to raise Drexia alone. Her father was a low end mechanic who fixed random things for people for money that he usually spent on liquor to feed the alcoholism he developed in the wake of his wife’s untimely demise. He didn’t abuse Drex but he made it obvious he didn’t care for her as much as a father should. He likely blamed her for her mother’s passing when really he should have been blaming himself for not being able to afford her medical bills.

When Drexia was about 10 years old her and her father boarded a EF76 Nebulon-B frigate where her father was supposed to be the Engineer for a short ride. Her father, drunk on the job, accidentally got his arm caught while fixing something. He lost his arm and was unable to do his job and his health was quickly deteriorating because of it. With him unable to work he resorted to the next best thing. Making his young daughter do his work for him for she was small and could climb into tight places to fix things. Drexia might have complained if she didn’t, clearly, enjoy the work much more than her father. Instead she did what she’d learned to do from watching him do his job.

It wasn’t long until her father died. After a year on the frigate and her father, barely, walking her through repairs. The captain of the ship had know the entire time that Drexia was doing the work and, as unorthodox as it was, hired her on as his new Engineer to replace her father. She was only the apprentice to the ship’s main Engineer but that helped her learn better than her father could have ever taught her. Eventually the lead Engineer started giving her more and more work until his quit and she took his place.

This was just before they were docked by a J-1 filled with Jedi and a Sith. The frigate, ultimately, wasn’t prepared for what came next… being hit with multiple proton torpedos. They weren’t built for battle and nothing that Drexia and the, newly retired, other Engineer did could prevent the ship’s demise. One of the proton torpedoes hit wrong and gravely injured Drexia’s new father figure. He forced her into one of the stasis pods beside the Jedi before succumbing to his wounds.

Now with the systems finally failing several hundred years later… Drexia is awakening among all the Jedi and anyone else who’s pods didn’t fail and made it.

SHIP:

Pretty neat character you've got here. I could always use a mechanic on my ship if you're interested.
