THE STORY SO FAR…
Dreidi was born on Kashyyyk to Yuroic Xeraic and Jairdain Ismet, the youngest child of the couple, Dreidi was constantly desperate to show her skills and abilities. Her childhood is often remembered as being pleasant, peaceful and almost perfect, until her father passed away during a fight. Dreidi doesn’t really remember much of her father’s dementia and the issues that her mother faced raising children and being a full-time carer, she does remember watching her mother leave Kashyyyk to grieve and never seeing her again.
When Dreidi became old enough to train as a Jedi under a Master, Dreidi chose to learn from her adoptive older sister, Asaraa Vaashe. The elder sibling took Dreidi in after she left the SJC and became a part of the CIS. Here, Dreidi felt stability once again and saw Asaraa not only as a Mentor and sister but understood that Asaraa had become more like a mother than a sister due to the absence of her own mother. Growing up with Kristyl as well gave her feelings of being not only an aunt but older sister to someone she cared about deeply. Living several years on Naboo and training, Dreidi also began her plunge into Magick, which she learnt from Nightmother Vanya. Delving into Magick, Dreidi found a way to express the Dark Side connection she held without fears of it consuming and turning her. Or failing as a Jedi because she couldn’t control her darkness.
After the fall of the CIS, Dreidi spent 7 years closely working with the Ascendancy to rebuild and strengthen themselves. It had been a massive blow to Dreidi’s beliefs and feelings of stability that the CIS fell. While she dedicated time to the Ascendancy and felt it was a connection to home and that the people there were her family now, she also worried that staying there would bring destruction and harm. That everywhere she felt settled and comfortable would inevitably fall or self-destruct. To avoid this happening to the people that Dreidi saw as family, she distanced herself and became more of a nomadic ronin type, traveling the stars and returning to train or assist the Ascendancy on missions.
Having left the Ascendancy in order to explore what it meant to be a Jedi, Dreidi spent years with the New Jedi Order in the Galactic Alliance, while at first it was a rocky relationship. Dreidi dealing with very different ideologies on how to be a Jedi and how to handle situations, in part this was due to Dreidi’s more aggressive, chaotic energy that she had always had but living her developmental years around mostly Dark Side Force users had meant that she picked up traits that were considered uncharacteristically Jedi. Deciding to spend her time learning what the NJO considered to be Jedi behaviour and jumping into missions in order to develop her skills in these areas considered lacking, Dreidi began noticing how far she had strayed from the path that she originally followed.
Not only demonstrating her skills in combat, displayed in the final battles against the Brotherhood of the Maw, Dreidi developed her skills in Magick, pledging herself to becoming a strong Witch that would represent Dathomir positively. She also took on the trials to become a Jedi Knight, demonstrating how far she had come. Having a private ceremony with her Master, Asaraa Vaashe, Dreidi finally became a Jedi Knight.
Years having passed by quickly for Dreidi, the Jedi Knight and Witch became a mother to a beautiful son, Aileni Ifor Xeraic. Concerned for his safety, she attempted to bless him with her Magick to prevent him from suffering from harm by evil. However, later it was revealed to her that the Magick would potentially change her son, turn him into something else. Something that would be different to the species she was. An anxiety that gnawed away at the young Jedi Knight for her reckless use of Magick but also not realising how powerful she had become to be able to do such an act now with her powers.
Dreidi took on the mantle of Witch Elder as she explored her Magick capabilities after the birth of her son. Dreidi also lived on Dathomir as well as Naboo, taking residence with her friends who were beginning the Royal Naboo Republic. Dreidi knew that she could do good work with the Order of Shiraya and share the knowledge she held as someone who was a Witch as well as a Jedi. It was also the steps next on her path to becoming a Jedi Master, something that Dreidi is still striving to achieve now that she is in her thirties.
