DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES
Gravity Gun: Instead of conventional means, the Dreamcatcher uses a set of miniature Repulsor generators to accelerate its projectiles. This allows the gun to fire the collection small metal pieces at a controlled and similar speed.

Electromagnetic Scatter: Without an electromagnetic field the shots fired by the Dreamcatcher would be a straight line. Thanks to an electromagnetic field build into barrel of the gun the small metal bits get scattered after being fired. This techniques makes sure that the scatter always has the same profile, making it easier to aim a shot.

Electroshock: While being fired the shroud of metal gets infused by a pulse of electricity, which carries on with the shoot for roughly three meters of range before fading.

Simple ammo: The dreamcatcher can be loaded with any pieces of metal small enough to fit in one of he three chambers, allowing the weapon to be used without the need to keep an eye out for any special kind of ammunition.

Strengths:
  • Light and small: The Dreamcatcher is small and light for a weapon of its type, making it possible to easily conceal it.
  • Wide scatter: Using an electromagnetic field to create the scatter, the reach of it is larger than from most weapons of its type (roughly 2 meters)
  • Simple ammo: Everything that is small enough and made out of metal can be used as ammo
  • Silent: Due to using gravity to fire the gun, a shot makes no sound besides a slight electric hum.
Weaknesses :
  • Slow reload: Once three shots are fired, it takes up to a minute to reload the weapon, and only if metal pieces are around.
  • Unreliable: As most prototype weapons made by Black Flag, the Dreamcatcher suffers from malfunctions from time to time, and can be damaged by outside force rather easily.
  • Dangerous: Due to being untested weapon, there are very few safety in play here. The wide scatter, as well as the electronic energy send into the shot can quickly turn on the wielder of the gun when used carelessly.
DESCRIPTION
The Dreamcatcher is one of numerous prototypes rescued by Darth Abyss and Black Flag during the fall of Malachor. Fitting in with most other highly experimental weapons made by the rather dubious company, the Dreamcatcher is as much a weapon and technology study as it is a deadly tool that can rip people apart with a few shots. Using a combination of gravitational and electromagnetic technology the small scattergun has a wide spread scatter, uses no real ammo and fires almost silently, making it a useful weapon both when used from the shadows, for survival beyond enemy lines or in open combat. Dangerous to both victim and user, the Dreamcatcher requires a carefull wielder to not end up killing the one using it.

As with most prototypes, the Dreamcatcher was passed on to elements known to Abyss, the Black Flag version of a field test. In this case the weapon was given to Serenity Loveheart, Abyss apprentice which like her master had shown both a liking and some skill with the use of firearms. The sith lord saw the weapon as a perfect fit, giving his apprentice a light handheld gun to use in the off-handed besides her saber.
