  • Small fighter complement.
Description:

The Draken (“Dragon”) are a class of artillery cruisers primarily designed for ant-ship combat and orbital bombardment. Their creation came about as result of the Kiribian Spacy repeatedly facing off against enemy Imperial vessels with increasingly tough defensive schemes like multi-layered shielding, sometimes requiring the combined efforts of an entire battlegroup bring down a single vessel.

The idea with the Draken is to soften up target vessels by bombarding them with fire from Incinerator railguns. The incendiary effect of the plasma fired from the Incinerators provides sustained damage to shields over time, the effect stacking with each successful strike. This forces shields to be in constant active use, quickly running them down, and weakpoints are created at all affected areas for easier penetration by other weapons.

Being a fairly fast and agile light cruiser, it can easily outmaneuver its intended targets – large capital ships like cruisers, destroyers, and battlecruisers – exploiting the weakness of the dagger designs so favored by Imperials to limit their exposure to enemy fire while attacking. Having been created to tackle heavy warships with strong defenses, the Draken have little trouble tearing through more venerable support vessels like carriers, or counter “sniping” opposing arty ships.

Your affiliation does not match the affiliation of the other submission (ECM Drones, which is affiliated with the Galactic Republic, Rebel Alliance, and Silver Sanctum Coalition). You need to remove this or change your affiliation to match one of those three.

This links to a starship submission, not a shield submission. Please correct this or remove it.

Subutai Tactical Analysis System
This alone should necessitate an increase from average defenses to moderate defenses. It allows the ship to formulate advanced and increasingly effective against hostiles in real time, adapting as time passes by.

I dont see how:

Tier IV - Super Heavy, Johnny Stormtrooper may be lucky to create a dent after several weeks of work with his E-11. Can tank through sustained hits from most kinds of heavy vehicle weapons, and withstand several hits from most capital grade weapons, but vulnerable to extreme capital weapons likes hypervelocity cannons. Reserved for static fortresses, space stations, and large capital ships like cruisers and destroyers.

Counts as Average?

[member="Raziel"] Yes, that's average for a cruiser and above. Impervious to small arms fire (perhaps aside from some odd exotic weapons like a T7 disruptor), can withstand some direct hits from vehicle and capital grade weapons, but doesn't fare very well against extreme weapons like HVCs, which have become bog standard on new cap ships being rolled out.
