STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

Strengths:

Intuition: Drake has a pretty accurate "gut" that through training could be heightened by the Force into a sort of precognition.

Fast thinker: Drake has always been able to think on his feet. Out that together with his strong intuition, and you end up getting one pretty hyper kid.

Both:

Fear doesn't paralyze him: This could be seen as one of Drake's best strengths, or his worst weakness. Fear doesn't stop him in his tracks, it helps give him a reason to act. Depending on your point of view, this could be helpful, or hurtful.

Good liar: Once again, in certain situations, being able to pull off a convincing lie is necessary to save your life. At least, it was in Drake's former life. However, as a Jedi, lying could end up getting him in trouble, especially if he begins to lie to himself.

Weaknesses:

Thinks he's invincible: Arguably, one of Drake's biggest weaknesses is that he'll rush into someone that could potentially get him killed. Partnered with his other weaknesses and it's hard to believe he's not already dead.

Acts first: Drake usually acts before he thinks, letting his body take over in fights. At first, he would also speak before thinking, but the habit was quickly stopped while working with his father.

Distrust of women: At a young age, Drake's father told him he ran away from Hapes with Drake in his arms, seeking a new life. Mainly, he ran from the matriarchal society, and the stories of his fathers life there instilled an unvoiced distrust in women.

APPEARANCE: His hair, short and messy. His eyes, dark and piercing. His skin, dotted with freckles. At least, those are the things one would see at a quick glance. One who payed more attention would see a small crescent cut on his cheek, the reaction running with one of his father's saws. An even closer look would reveal scars on his knuckles from fights as a young boy.

BIOGRAPHY: Drake Blackwood's ancestors were from the planet Hapes. Drake, however, was a boy of the stars, as his father said. His father, a 'goods transporter.' Drake always knew he was a smuggler. They moved from planet to planet, mainly back and forth between the core worlds and the outer rim. Hiding goods and people alike. Operations on his father's frigate were pretty basic. Hide the smuggled goods and his son, and fly. Until one day, everything changed.

They got found out by officials on Coruscant. Drake could hear their boots, clanking on the grates above their head, and knew immediately they were in trouble. Without thinking, his 13 year old body sprung into action. He shoved open the hidden door, and came out swinging. He was able to surprise one of the officials, and with a quick, unskilled punch, knocked him out. His father, the quick draw he was, shot one of the officials, while the third one ran off the frigate for fear of their life. Drake grabbed the blaster of the official he downed, and used the butt of it to knock the man out completely. While this May have been ordinary in the lifes' of most smugglers, it defined the rest of Drake's.

From that point on, his father didn't see him as a son, he saw Drake as a partner in 'goods transportation.' Drake not only helped negotiate prices with clients, but helped 'negotiate' with guards, troops, and officials. Not to say he liked have to kill people, on the rare occasion, but he certainly did like the extent of the lies the two smugglers told to make a few credits.

Drake had only had one defining moment in his life at this point in time, and he was about to have another. One punch, then another. Drake was in the middle of a fight, in the middle of a bar. A patron, in an attempt to stop the fight, moved to grab Drake and pull him back. Drake had a gut instinct someone was coming up behind him, and turned. He wasn't fast enough, but he didn't need to be. He got thrown out of the bar, the bar in which a Jedi had just identified him as Force sensitive.
