The good doctor, before coming a monster in the eyes of the scientific community, at one time owned and oversaw a scientific lab on a remote world held by the Republic. Once considered the leading doctor in the field of bio-engineering, she held much respect and prestige among her peers. However, a freak accident nearly cost her her vision; leaving her to wear special designed goggles. But it was her mind, her morals, that was truly damaged.
Secretly, she began to conduct unethical experiments on corpses and the living.
When members of her own scientific team began to disappear, along with other staff members, rumours began to reach the ears of the Republic Council, and a small group of soldiers where sent to arrest her so she could answer to the rumours, however, before they soldiers could take her into custody; Darth Venefica, who respected the doctor's ethical practices, managed to rescue and sneak her out before capture.
Now Dr. P'yan is loyal to only one person, Darth Venefica.
