Detailed Special Features

The DR-1 Battle Droid has a few tricks up its sleeve, despite its low intelligence. Because of the make and model, and Rosilla Relief & Supply assets, they can be created quickly and cheaply. What sets them apart from other Battle Droids, however, are the next two items.

DR-1's can link their optical sensors, creating a holomap, and transferring it to the designated commander. This creates a real-time tactical image that a potential leader can accurately judge threats without the droids having to communicate themselves. This will continue to function even after a droid is destroyed, still relaying information unless the head is dispatched as well.

This battle droid also contains a small hollow compartment in it's lower abdomen, large enough to carry a single grenade, where any number of things can be stored. It's intended purpose is the storage of an explosive charge. A DR-1 can be instructed to carry a single explosive, such as Fex-M3 or Baradium, into the thick of battle, detonate it while within the container, and catch an unexpecting enemy off-guard.

Quite a few tricks, despite being dumber than a stack of bricks.

Strengths:
+Made in Geonosis- These droids, assembled by either other droids, or free Geonosian labor, are extremely cheap to make, and therefore can be manufactured in high numbers. They were designed to swarm, and win battles of attrition.
+On the Grid- Using their Sensory Grid technology, can create a battle map to help with strategic decisions.
+Boom Goes the Dynamite- Unexpected explosives can be hidden within any droid. Helps keep the enemy on their toes.
+Droid Perks- Has all of the benefits of being a Droid, including an infinite morale, ability to keep on fighting through damage, and no need for food, drink, or air.
Weaknesses:
-Dumb and Dumber- These things, despite all their numbers, can't think for themselves, and honestly aren't the best soldiers.
-Mad Haxx- The Sensory Grid could be hacked by a talented slicer, and reveal the location of where the information is going to, leading the slicer to the designated commander.
-Stealthy... Not- These are front-line cannon-fodder; they simply weren't made to be quiet.

DESCRIPTION
Dravis Rosilla created the concept for the DR-1 Battle Droid while observing footage from various confrontations of the modern era. He discovered something simple: there were many Jedi and Sith fighting in the front lines. He also studied the strengths and flaws of droid armies in the past, realizing that communication and info-gathering was their largest tactical flaw. After examining these bits of evidence, he created the DR-1.

The first line of the DR-X series of Battle Droids, the DR-1 is mostly what one would expect from a commonplace B1. Slightly taller, but same intelligence and relative shape of the standard battle droids of old. But their extra armaments are what set them apart.

Their compartment and Sensory Grid (mentioned above), mask a few weaknesses the B1's held in the past, making them into useful assets in any large-scale battles. They provide an important wall of blaster fire, and create the main body of Rosilla and his client's forces, that are easily directed.

[member="Dravis Rosilla"] - Just one thing I could find, and it's just clarification for exactitude.... This droid can only carry a singular (1x) explosive in it's little cubby for such things, yes?
