Downtime [Masamune]

The first month living back in the Core was great. Back to big cities, high culture, gourmet cuisine. Restoration of the Core was now in full swing in the wake of the One Sith's collapse, many systems having returned to their former splendor.

However, it was only so long that Arisa could enjoy the comforts of Izrul before beset by boredom. Having spent most of her adult life moving from one battlefield to the next, it just felt odd doing nothing. Though at the same time, she wasn't quite ready to return to the fray quite yet.

She found a compromise getting more involved at Masamune, drafting up new items for defense against the Dark Arts, which were sorely needed as the Sith were on the rise once more.

As she looked toward ramping up the activity of her firm, she looked to expand her worker base to keep up with demand. She made some job postings up on the Holonet, offering employment and advanced training to all Force Sensitives, though experienced adepts with the Force were much preferred. When she started getting bites, she conducted interviews right from the factory ship Masamune, which served as the main base of operations for the whole firm.

It seemed like a lifetime had passed since Anka had visited the galactic core. Some ten years ago, the One Sith had launched a horrific attack on Coruscant, and like so many other citizens and Jedi, she had been left displaced and without hope. She had lost friends, her master, and even her lightsaber, and before too long she could no longer stand the sight of the fallen city planet. While many of her fellow Jedi took up causes to battle tyranny, the former Padawan has chosen instead to adopt the life of an exile. She had never been a good fit to battle the forces of evil, choosing instead to flee from her nightmares.

Anka found solace in the outer rim, spending a great deal of time moving from place to place before anybody could get too close. She tried doing what little she could to help people, but never to the extent that she could not leave a place if she had to. In her own way, she had never managed to fully shed the trappings of the Jedi Order, no matter how badly she had wanted to leave it behind.

It seemed, however, that the force was drawing her back into the past. By chance, Anka had come across a job posting on the holonet, a name attached to it she had not seen in such a long time. It was enough of a shock that she wasted no time making her way to Kiribi, and in short order found herself standing within a large factory ship, the Masamune.

She stood just outside a labeled door, a hand raised before her as she pondered keying her entry. There was no avoiding detection as far as her presence on the ship, if only due to her scheduled meeting, but for a moment or two the woman paused. It was hardly a return to Coruscant, but this would be the first time she had actively taken a step towards her past. Familiar faces were a rare thing for her.

...but it will be good to see Arisa Yune again, surely?

Pulling the red scarf around her neck just a bit closer to her chin, Anka took a final, steadying breath. A gloved finger glided forward, and before she could second guess herself the door before her was open.

"Hello?"
