DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Vong Biot: Being a biot, this thing is Force dead, that means that the Force (either to heal or to harm) cannot work on it. That is a double edged sword, obviously.
  • Neural Interface: This thing has a lovely little tendril that hooks up to the user's Central Nervous system. Orders are given through thought alone, and the telepathic link goes both ways--that means it feeds thoughts to the user as well as taking them from the user.
  • Symbiotic to the user: The only way this feeds is by feeding off of the user. Its not a parasite strictly speaking, since it gives benefits, however it does use you to do its thing.
  • Essentially this thing is a micronized Dovin Basil, that means it is able to warp gravity (to a degree) and that is some pretty cool stuff if used right. If used wrong, your karked.
  • Self healing: The only way this thing gets better is self healing (or getting it to a very skilled Vong surgeon/surgeon). The healing takes a while, sometimes days or weeks, but it does self-repair anything short of total destruction if given the right nutrients.
Strengths:
  • Vong: Since this thing is a vong biot, it is force dead, that means the Force and Force abilities on it are pretty useless.
  • Gravity shaping: Just like the Wiki sub says, this thing is able to warp gravity and stuff. That is pretty handy for a variety of uses. This is far from unlimited since these biots are grown to scale.
Weaknesses :
  • Baby is hungry, baby must feed: Everything this biot does is off the user's energy. It is literally feeding off the user. So, if the user wants to make the Biot move something or stop something, that is going to be coming out of their own energy.
  • Not Force Friendly: If this thing latches onto a Force user, it will release a lethal neurotoxin into the user's blood stream, killing or doing serious harm to the force user while at the same time, dying itself. This thing doesn't work well with the Medichlorians.
  • Thought clutter: The user must remain calm and know how to think clearly since the biot shares a mind link with the user. Also, the user has to get used to the idea of--well new ideas fed into their brain, which is pretty freaky for most.
  • Vulnerable to Yammosk: Dovin Basil by nature, form telepathic links to the Yammosk. If one is in the area, they are going to have three brains (at least) sharing chatter, and that gets tiresome fast.
DESCRIPTION
In a galaxy full of the strange, the bizarre, and the strait-up weird, you will probably never see anything like this ever again. The Dovin-Et represents the next generation in Dovin Basil evolution and weaponization. The old Yuzzhan Vong tech has long been untouched and unrecognized--until now. The shapers at RMIA began working with their confederates to form a new age of weaponry, and as a side result, a batch of Dovin Basils grew in underdeveloped. In the face of throwing them out and facing a loss, the company decided to turn their lemons into lemonade. With slight modifications, the Dovin-Et was created.

The creature connects to the back of the user, tapping directly into the spine, hook up is initially painful or strange feeling and leaves small scars that are hardly noticeable. The Dovin-Et then makes a telepathic connection to the user, and the symbiosis begins. The Dovin Et lays dormant on the user's back and could legitimately be hidden with shirts and long hair or something until use, they would look like a normal person. Scanners would indicate growth on their back, but really that would just appear to be some sort of genetic defect, growth, or something--if anything at all--and the user would probably be waved through. When the user wants to put the Dovin-et to use, that is when the magic happens.

Since the Dovin-et hooks up to the user's Central Nervous system, the simplest of thoughts is a command to this tool. As a reward, the Dovin-et takes a little energy from the user. Prolonged use or exceptionally intense uses could make the user fatigued--side effect of strenuous use could include blacking out, fainting, or even slipping into a coma. Death is a possibility for ambitious uses of the Dovin-Et.

But as for what it can do, the Dovin-Et is pretty much limited to the uses of a Dovin Basil, gravity manipulation, make shift propulsion, personal shielding, whatever the heart desires. For non-combat uses, some of the testers have reported that its pretty handy with acrobatics, as a safety net for falling, moving, convincing people you have the Force, or even just some hilariously awesome pranks.

All in all, its just a smaller version of the cannon Dovin Basil, with some steep limitations for over-usage.
