Description:

Crafted by skilled hands
For the one who shall

To take the blades upon
Tametomo's death.
Crafted in contest with blood
And Sweat and Bated Breath
To be used for War and Art.

The Odachi blade is named
Dojigiri, the Monster-Cutter,
For which is soon shall be famed
Throughout the Galaxy.

Shields of all design
Fall before the blade
None, neither light nor malign,
Survive the keen edge of destruction.

The blade deflects the bolts
Of those it opposes
And ne'er shall it molt
The keen edge forged upon it.

Of Song and of Steel
Was the blade forged
And doth not heel
From the deadly strike.

Of the Parry and Block it knows little,
Being of the Warrior's calling.
Upon attack, the user finds the weapon fickle
And loathe to relinquish the attack.

Strengths:
- Songsteel Blade
- Alchemically treated to rupture both Force and Technological Shielding.
- Alchemically treated to deflect blaster rounds
- Alchemically treated to never lose the razer sharp edge

Weaknesses:
- Despite Songsteel construction, the blade is heavy and slow to swing
- The blade is difficult to block and parry with, making defense impractical with the Odachi.
- Being an abnormally long blade, the weapon is slow to draw and resheathe.
- Due to the blade's length, it is more easily used when fighting on a mount than on foot.

The amount of work put into this and the dev thread is /astounding/ so you ought to be very pleased with and proud of yourselves. As for the weapon itself, the fact it's a blade and not armour makes this easier to judge; it's measured by the skill of the writer/character as opposed to just generic and passive defence. From what I've gathered there are four of them, although the style of this blade is unique.

I'm going to approve this weapon with the understanding that aside from the other three smaller blades there'll be no more made without further dev/submission threads. This isn't the sort of thing we'd want spawning left, right and centre. The same will be said for the other blades. Keep in mind the limitations set, and ensure that if this gets passed on the individual who claims it is fully aware of what it can/cannot do where combat is concerned.
