ADVANCED SYSTEMS
Electronic Countermeasures: The Dodonna carries more electronic countermeasures than many of the newer Alliance Remnant-aligned vessels developed by 3MDS. The goal of the vessel is to hit and run with an emphasis on being able to hit, and blind enemy sensors at the same time.

Strengths:

  • Bombs Away: Built with three plasma bomblet generators the Dodonna is ready to serve as an effective tool of liberation.

  • Sweet Jam: Capable of jamming starship sensors at a distance and paint targets, rendering them unable to fire defensively the Dodonna is confident in its ability to liberate systems.
Weaknesses:

  • Maneuverability: A low rated maneuverability coupled with SLAM makes it very low when SLAM is engaged. Ships that are rated faster and more maneuverable could very well take advantage of this weakness.

  • Range: Best when engaged in standard combat range, the Dodonna is unable to effectively fight at long range.
Description:

The newest line of warships, the Dodonna is perhaps the highest produced with a minor production rating. Three Moons Development and Supply received an infusion of credits and talons from a mysterious benefactor. Not questioning the money might haunt them later, but for the time being 3MDS went to work with the Dodonna.

Built with three dorsal plasma bomblet generators, and six modulator torpedo launchers this heavy corvette is more than capable of punching its way through a fight. Defensively, the ship is built with more countermeasures and the hope to blind/jam enemy sensors before they’re noticed. If they are noticed the ship can rely on its speed to get out of tough situations. While the Dodonna boasts the ability to punch its way out, it cannot do so whilst turning. Her maneuverability is less than desirable, coupled with a less than effective long-range combat rating and it leaves her vulnerable to not only more agile ships. Ships that can and will fire at long range certainly have an advantage over the heavy corvette.
