In a long, dark, high-necked lace dress, Cath Lorr stalked the main floor of the Coruscant Convention Center on a fevered search. She was looking for Sasha Santhe, CEO of the Santhe Corporation. The young Umbaran Sith Acolyte did not follow the business news or even gossip surrounding the ingenue's rise to fame, but she did know the woman was renown for her expert knowledge of Mechu-Deru, one of the rarest Force powers in the galaxy. And like a precious rainbow gem or a fine work of art, Cath wanted to possess this skill. She had been a financial advisor on Umbara prior to her leaving - well, it was technically an exile for attempted murder, but who was really keeping track?
Mechu-Deru, she reasoned, would give her the ability to manipulate not only numbers but also control mechanicals without the use of software or programming. She knew that Santhe probably didn't give her time easily or for free so the Acolyte was prepared to barter something - her financial acumen mostly - in order to have exposure to this skill.
Cath was able to pull a few strings herself to get into the convention floor where a panel, featuring expounding technocrats was underway. Sponsored by all of the biggest names in the galaxy - Santhe Corporation, Brightstar Entertainment, Salvatrucha, Hegemonic Automaton and Morpho Pharmaceuticals - the diminutive Rootai watched and waited until the dark-haired Santhe was alone. She had to shield her eyes from the bright, shiny holo displays many of the companies had jam-packed across the convention floor.
But depending on how popular and charismatic Sasha was, she may be waiting awhile.
