Disturbed

New Holstice

Hircine had finally arrived to her destination. Several bloody interrogations and months later, Hircine had finally discovered the location of the artifact she had been looking for. The world of New Holstice. A hospital planet of the Republic. The last place anyone would think to find a Sith artifact. Hircine knew it had to have been hidden or else it's location would have been discovered long ago by nosy Jedi. Upon landing on the planet, Hircine was greeted by a group of the planet's inhabitants who just so happen to know the exact whereabouts of her prize.

A Rodian separated from the group and walked up to Hircine. He was dressed in a silky robe with regal colors. "Welcome to New Holstice, my lady. Allow me to be your guide."

Hircine showed no emotion on her face. She just nodded and followed behind the Rodian as he walked off with the others. Just outside the spaceport, the Rodian's transport awaited him and Hircine. "My transport shall take us to the location of the...you know." The Rodian leaned into Hircine's ear for a whisper. "Can't say out loud. Too many listening ears." Hircine growled lightly and stepped onto the transport, quickly finding herself a seat inside. The Rodian followed behind her. Once he was aboard, the transport would take off in a northern direction, towards the location of the artifact.

Cal landed on the docking bay of the republic cruiser. He was greeted by an officer. "Hello sir. We hear you have come on jedi business. From the sound of it, it seems quite urgent. " Cal nodded toward the man as he finished speaking. The force was diffidently sending him to this planet but he was unsure why. He also lied to get here. The republic was good to force users and respected them. But Cal wasn't a jedi. He also.. may have lied about that as well. "Follow me this way and I will get you a transport to the planet."

Cal followed the man and entered the shuttle. He had never been to a cruiser before. "This place is huge!" Cal thought to himself. I guessed that made sense, seeing as the size of the crew and how it was more then a ship to most of these people on board. It was home. The shuttle took off just as Cal had sat down and strapped in.

The interior of the transport was fairly cozy. It was clear that the Rodian was quite affluent by his style and flair. The interior was a warm cream colored and cushioned like a lavish bed in a palace. Hircine felt odd in such a place, but remembered it would be a short ride. "Hope the accommodations are suitable, my lady. I spare no expense when helping my friends."

"Everything is fine. How far are we from the site?"

"About 5 minutes out. However, the site may be 5 minutes away, but the talisman is several kilometers below ground. We managed to dig down to it, but it's getting it out that's impossible. For my people at least. There are these..statues just outside of the temple that holds your talisman. They ain't so friendly, either. They cuttin' down each of my boys as soon as one of them step up. Here's the kicker: These statues got lightsabers. That's where you come in. You cut down those statues for me, you get your talisman, I get whatever else is in the temple. Deal?" The rodian held out his hand for Hircine to shake. It was clearly greasy with some kind of food he was eating.

"Deal." Hircine refused to shake his hand, noticing the obvious grime on it.

The shuttle was noticeably slowing down as it reached the excavation site. "Ah, we are here." The shuttle powered down after landing. The landing ramp opened up and the bay doors hissed open. "After you, my lady." Hircine rose from her seat and walked off the shuttle. Just outside, the entrance to the excavation site could be seen with a landspeeder resting at the entrance. "There's our ride, my lady. Come. I'll drive you to the temple below." Hircine followed behind the Rodian and jumped into the back of the landspeeder. The rodian took the driver's seat and powered it on before driving into the tunnel.

The tunnels were dimly lit by the lanterns dangling from the walls, harshly being tugged on by the passing landspeeder carrying Hircine to her objective. The path was rather long, taking her deep underground until she reached the excavation site. From the landspeeder, Hircine could see the statues standing guard at the entrance of the temple. They were massive in stature even from the distance Hircine was at. She jumped out of the landspeeder and began walking towards the entrance. She had to step over the bodies of the fallen crew that were cut down by the statues.

"Careful, my lady! Those things are fierce!"

Hircine stopped just before the statues, staring them both down as she waited for them to make a move. Then, rumbling shook the cavern as the statues lifted from the pedestals and stepped towards Hircine. They began reaching for their weapons, but Hircine was far too quick. She flicked her wrist at them and their heads exploded into dust and pebbles. The rest of their bodies fell to the ground and broke apart. "It's done." Hircine walked past the debris of the statues and entered the temple. In the center, the talisman she had come for rested, awaiting to be taken. Hircine stepped forth and took the talisman from it's pedestal. Meanwhile, the Rodian was gathering all the treasure he could stuff in his bag.

"I'm done here." Hircine exited the temple and made for the landspeeder. As soon as she stepped out of the temple, she waved her hand through the air, causing a small quake and bringing rocks down onto the temple doors, trapping the Rodian in. She inspected the talisman as she made her way back to the landspeeder. Once in the speeder, she started it's engine and turned it around to exit the cavern.

Upon reaching the surface, Hircine was met with the barrels of several blaster rifles held by local authorities. She stopped the speeder and leaped outside of it, eyes locked on the officers before her. "Hold right there! Move and we put you down. You're under arrest!."

Hircine snarled to herself. She had not expected such commotion from this situation despite the circumstances. "On what charges?"

"Excavating without a permit."

"You haven't even asked if I had one."

"No need. Your associates said enough." The officer pointed back towards the workers that dug the hole.

"I'm not with them. I only hired them."

"For what purpose?"

Hircine could not say what she was there for. This was the wrong planet to be open about searching for Sith artifacts. She had to think of something to get herself out of the situation o else she wasn't making it offworld with the artifact. She only had one option. "For this." Hircine quickly flicked her wrist, causing all the officer's blasters to turn to dust. They all jumped back in fear as their weapons were easily stripped from them. "Now, stay out of my way." Hircine walked by the terrified officers without any issues. She returned to the spaceport and procured a ride off the planet and return to her home where she would study the talisman further.
