Even though the Techno Empire is still a minor faction, and that, unlike the Sith factions, they actually care about their economy, as am I, opening negotiations with the Techno Empire on Geonosis would be a good idea for both factions. Plus we should also use this opportunity to get a new ally in this ordeal.

Is the Techno Empire a faction type IC that the Republic would be likely to engage with positively? If not, perhaps we should consider a story of intrigue or something like that with them?

The only indication I have is that the TE has more issues with the Sith factions (due to its predecessor losing a rebellion to the Sith Triumvirate) than with us and claims to be standing against the barbary of the Mandalorians.
