OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Intent: Write the current leader of the SyntheTek Institute

Permissions: Myself, the All Powerful Trade
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
Age: Early 70s
Species: Cyborg Humanoid
Appearance: Professor Ignar has the look of a man who has spent his entire life under artificial light. He is slight, stooped, and carries himself with the measured fragility of a refurbished protocol droid. He appears perpetually on the verge of a cough, a faint, dry hack that punctuates his sentences.
SKILLS
Master of Illicit Sciences: A leading, though uncredited, expert in cloning (far beyond Kaminoan party-line techniques), illegal cybernetic augmentation, bio-droid engineering, and genetic warfare.
Resource Network: Has cultivated a vast network of suppliers, from Pyke Syndicate spice smugglers who also traffic in rare biologicals, to corrupt Imperial quartermasters who sell him outdated medical droids, to Black Sun Vigos who pay a premium for his more "unique" creations.
Manipulative Leader: He maintains a cult of personality within the Institute. His scientists are loyal not out of fear, but out of shared passion for discovery, unshackled by conscience.
Surgeon and Slicer: He can perform delicate neural implants with steady hands and can slice into the most secure medical databases to steal genetic templates.
Physical Decay: At 78, his body is failing. His health requires a strict regimen of rejuvenating treatments and cybernetic aids, making him dependent on his own technology. His greatest fear is that his body will fail before his mind can perfect the means to replace it.
Unchecked Hubris: He genuinely believes his work is a gift to the galaxy. This conviction makes him blind to his own monstrousness and leads him to make grandiose, fatal errors, such as trusting a captured Republic officer because he sees their sense of duty as a fascinating psychological variable.
The Perfectionist's Cruelty: He has no tolerance for failure. A test subject who rejects an implant or a clone that develops a flaw is "decommissioned" without a second thought. He has "retired" more than one promising assistant for a simple mathematical error.
Galactically Out of Touch: His decades of isolation have left him with a poor understanding of the current political landscape.
PERSONALITY
Ignar is a holdover from a more civilized age of science, where the line between progress and atrocity was often blurred by the needs of the Galactic Alliance and later, the Galactic Empire. He is not cruel for cruelty's sake, but views morality as an inefficient variable to be optimized out of the equation.
