DESCRIPTION

Deus is the name Krest gave a blade he made himself. Between the teachings of Josiah Denko and Lord Daemos. He began his journey after reading up on the ancient Je'daii's weapons. Force Imbuned Blades. Lightsabers cut better. Deflected laser bolts. But their blades had no weight, a flaw in the Zabraks mind. He was trained at a young age to use metal blades, and after his shift to sabers he felt it was never the same.

Krest found himself on Val'hala, meeting with CEO Sno Wyte. She was the leader of a weapons company, and he had heard she knew the art. The trip turned out to be a profitable one, Krest learning from Lord Daemos how to channel the force and shape his blade at the same time. He failed multiple times after learning from the lord, and eventually had the skill well enough to make a decent blade.

But it was the Art of the Small Josiah Denko showed him and Hayato that proved the most effective. It allowed Krest to alter the metal in such a way similar to Sith Alchemy without the Dark side presence. Or at least just the Dark side. With Krest's quest to find pure balance in a similar fashion to the Je'daii his blade had both Light and Dark infused in it's blade. It is neither a Sith blade nor is it like Frostfall, the blade made in a similar way to Deus. The steel can still deflect blaster bolts, but it can also absorb lightning. The charge however is temporary, dissipating seconds after absorbing instead of staying adsorbed until the blade struck. On top of that it allows the power Force Weapon to be easier to accomplish, though not as well as the Frostfall counterpart.

The blade lets off a purple hue, almost in a flame like wisp smoking off the metal. The sheath is made of the same metal, allowing Krest to deflect sabers with it in his offhand. The sheath and hilt of the blade are also covered in Corellian Hardwood, only to prevent the wispy flame from giving his position away. The blade extends longer then most blades, giving Krest a longer reach, and in his mind the advantage.

Deus is a blade perfect for the Zabrak, allowing him to use blades he views as superior.

@[member="Krest"] - Art of the Small is never, ever, ever an appropriate technique for a Knight. That said, this wasn't really your fault, and the weapon itself has no balance problems, plus two development threads. Approved pending secondary.

The steel can deflect blaster bolts like a lightsaber.

With Krest's urge and want to control the elements, Deus has picked up this want. The blade is a focal point, allowing the Zabrak to focus easier on the elements and manipulate them through the steel. But he can only control one element at a time, and changing from one to another in battle leaves him without any elements until he refocuses. Due to the fragile balance in both the Zabrak and his blade, the slightest push to either side will cause the blade to follow in that direction, either going Light or Dark with the user. With Krest's fall to Darth Ferus, the blade has slowly fallen with him, corrupting.

Edited with above.

[member="Darth Ferus"] - This is a big change. I'm going to need a lot more detail. Which elements - you mean air, earth, fire, water, right? How long does it take to re-attune the blade to the new element? (ie, what's the 'recharge time' on a switch?) What kind of a boost does it provide - how, and how powerful, and for how long? Does this time him out more?

and more difficult things like splitting the ground easier to focus on while ignoring outside distraction.
Your scaling is a bit off. Knights shouldn't be running around splitting the ground; heck, most Masters shouldn't. This ain't Last Airbender. Do me a favor and tone that down; the rest of it looks fine.
