Decarii Tithe
“Ultra Vires”
+ Astute legal mind - Decarii possesses encyclopedic knowledge of the laws, decrees, and legislative peculiarities of hundreds of planets. Knowledge is power, and she uses this expertise to bend the legal system to her whim.
+ Call my bluff - her legendary sabacc face gives nothing away during negotiations or cross-examination. Her uncanny ability to convince herself of her own lies presents a challenge for even Force users to divine her true intentions.
+ Well connected - growing up within the all-powerful Trade Federation gives her access to the wealthiest and most influential beings in the galaxy. Impossible requests are but one commlink call away.
- Power hungry - Aargauun flood runs thick in her veins. While her lust for credits cannot be denied, Decarii is devoted to the unrelenting pursuit of political and legislative influence. No risk is too great, no relationship too sacred to come between her and her goals.
-- Insecure - behind the bravado, wit and displays of wealth is a deeply insecure woman, one who craves validation from all around her. Her greatest achievements are but trivialities in her eyes, heading to a lifetime of increasingly dangerous risk-taking to win the favour of others.
Decarii was born on Aargau in 864 ABY at the height of the Third Imperial Civil War. While she notionally lived with her father Aerarii, in reality, she was raised by nanny droids and paid staff. Her father, too busy between his role as Vice Chancellor of the Galactic Alliance and his relentless pursuit of credits to find time to raise a daughter, instead showered her with credits to absolve any guilt. Decarii never knew her mother or had any inkling who brought her into the galaxy, and the topic was off limits with her father. However, holonet tabloids have long asserted that her mother was an influential member of the Galactic Alliance.
After a lavish but shallow upbringing, she went on to study law on Chandrilla, and while at university, clerked for a Lord Justice of the Grand Court.
Decarii was recruited straight out of the university to the Trade Federation’s legal department, her position opening up following a horrific workplace accident rumoured to have been orchestrated by
Gat Tambor
himself. She spent a number of years working across different legal departments, building a reputation as a cut-throat lawyer who ensured the Federation always came out on top. Decarii demonstrated her willingness to exploit the weaknesses and vices of her legal foes and was no stranger to extortion and blackmail. Her cases are often settled behind closed doors (under questionable circumstances) and rarely make it to open court.
After a stint in the Trade Federation’s corporate law division, she joined renowned legal firm Blackwell & Pa’get, which the Federation had recently acquired. Decarii continued her reign as a ruthless litigator and was soon appointed a named partner. The firm represented countless high-profile clients throughout the galaxy, and it’s rumoured that her billable hours resolving a trade dispute once bankrupted an Outer Rim planetary government. She currently holds the position of Managing Partner, balancing the day-to-day operations of the firm with her enviable client list.
In 902ABY, Blackwell, Pa’get & Tithe - by now one of the most highly regarded law firms in the galaxy - were retained as legal counsel for the Royal Naboo Republic as it prepared to transition to the High Republic. Decarii led a team to establish key legislative and constitutional frameworks for the new galaxy power, putting in place the necessary checks and balances to ensure a well-functioning government at the High Republic continued to expand its borders and look beyond Naboo. She currently serves as Legal Adviser to the Judicial Committee of the High Assembly, drafting legislation and offering legal opinion to Senators.
