Intent: A personal garment for Ijaat
Development Thread: Unified In Our Purpose
Manufacturer: Gotal’Veman/ArmaTech & Ijaat Mereel
Model: N/A
Affiliation: Personal
Modularity: No
Production: Unique

Material:

  • Kuryida Edee Hide

  • Phrik Armorweave Lining

  • Electrum Detailing

Classification: Multi-Purpose
Weight: 4.5kg
Quality: 7
Special Features:

  • Lightsaber Resistance: The entire garment is resistant to Lightsabers the same way Phrik is due to the lining.

  • Force-Dead: The parts that the garment covers are dead to the Force much as any Vong-spawn are. This has the minor ability of also not full on altering or dispersing ones Force Signature, but blurring and muddying it to where an experienced Force User would be needed to identify the correct person.
Strengths:

  • Force Dead

  • Lightsaber Resistant

Weaknesses:

  • Heavy - For a garment of the size and design it is, it’s exceedingly heavy and not terribly flowing as one might expect, and so can hinder agility.

  • Force Restricting - It can provide obstacles or barriers to the wearer when using Force Powers on themselves and wearing this garment.

  • Kinetic/Blunt Force Damage - Zero resistance to any of these types. It is, after all, a coat.

Description:
Long legends are told of a beast on Myrkr, a Kuryida Edee. The Murder Tooth. That the Force struggled or would not touch them at all. That lightsabers took more than one blow to damage them. That their teeth would turn tear asunder even beskar’gam of the Mandalorians. Such a beast was rarely, if ever hunted, on purpose. And most accidental hunts of this King of Beasts turn into funerals in very short order.

But regardless, one day on a quest for something entirely separate, Ijaat Mereel and [member="Draco Vereen"] encountered one. And through extreme heroism on their parts, the beast was slain. Ingenuity was called on. Life and limb were risked and gambled, and in the end through the near death of both, victory was snached almost literally from the very jaws of the beast itself.

Before leaving, Ijaat carved the beast up and skinned it, it’s hide being sent to the craftsman of his and Draco’s joint venture known as Gotal’veman. Alchemists in their employ worked upon the garment with all their skill. Preserving the leather, and beyond that preserving the properties of the beast in addition to it, was a challenging task. And of course, some potency was lost. So rather than a full immunity to a broad range and spectrums of Force Powers, it retained a healthy resistance where it didn’t create immunity.

The resulting coat was detailed in electrum designs specific to the wearer. Ijaat chose to have minor scrollwork on the cuffs and collars, for instance. The garment was lined in a phrik made armorweave, giving it a heft not typical for even a longcoat, but making it a formidable piece over all. As some have said - leave it to a Mandalorian to make a coat into armor. And, without a doubt, though it does not look it… It certainly is a coat suitable for any warrior.

Your weakness states the coat is heavy, but it's on the lighter side of light armor and is about as heavy as a real life medium weight leather jacket. Both of the examples you're using as a primary source weigh 4 KG and over, which would quantify as being heavy in regards to a weakness.
