- Structure Name: Dawn Temple
- Classification: Jedi Temple
- Location: Mount Tellec, Spintir
- Affiliation: Dawn Temple Caretakers
- Accessibility: Located on the icy plateau of Mount Tellec, the journey to the Dawn Temple is arduous. The path up the mountain isn't particularly treacherous, but it is long, winding, and often shrouded in mist. Though it may be challenging to find if you do not already know the way, its seclusion is by design so as to protect both the temple's sanctity, and to keep potential dangers far from civilians.
- Description: The Dawn Temple is a large structure made of ancient, snow-swept stone. Despite it's frigid location, the temple is well insulated from the elements. A long, unadorned staircase ascends to the main grounds, and several blunt-edged towers rise high into the blistering white mists.
Winter garden – An outdoor garden lush with medicinal herbs and alpine plant life. At the center of the garden is a small reflecting pool which never freezes, and always appears still and undisturbed. Even the drop of a pebble will not ripple its surface.

[SECURITY]
High – In addition to being difficult to locate, admission to the Dawn Temple is tightly restricted and heavily monitored. Temple guards are heavily present and command thorough, routine patrols. Security droids are programmed for defensive maneuvers only are stationed at various checkpoints within the temple. The security level rises to maximum in the catacombs where the most dangerous patrons are held in a heavily reinforced stasis chamber. Force reactive seals are in place guarding sensitive chambers, and several redundant shield generators guard the temple from external attacks, while internal ray-shielding contains the stasis chamber.
[HISTORICAL INFORMATION]
Thousands of years ago, the Dawn Temple was created as a spiritual retreat for Jedi who had strayed from the Light side of the Force. Today, it maintains that same purpose – to guide the lost back into balance, be they wayward Jedi or practitioners of the Dark who wish to heal and repent. Admission to the temple is strictly voluntary.
The Dawn Temple is headed by three individuals, all of whom are Jedi spirits dwelling within holocrons. They are each vaunted Jedi Masters in their craft who dedicate their being to a particular aspect of rehabilitation:
- Ceh-Ceten Lyut the Curator – An elderly Cerean male cast in silvery-blue light. He manages the temple's day-to-day operations, including the records and archives. His organizational skills and bureaucratic acumen are second to none, and he serves as the temple's primary gatekeeper.
- Mekene the Warden – A female Zabrak wreathed in golden light. She oversees the temple's defenses, combat training and lightsaber construction. In her time, she served as the battle master of the Jedi Order.
- Ohrik the Jailer – A short, elderly Miralukan man who is bathed in a pure, white light. He manages the rehabilitation of the wayward and the fallen, including lessons in philosophy and in the more ethereal aspects of the Force. Ohrik is also particularly gifted in being able to sense authenticity and detect subterfuge.
Completion of rehabilitation is generally granted by a consensus between the three temple heads. However, particularly dangerous Dark-siders, or those who've committed especially heinous or egregious acts may be subject to scrutiny by a panel of external Jedi before being declared rehabilitated. Until then, these patrons gradually earn more tightly monitored freedom through rigorous lessons and evaluation that can prove their commitment.
Though spartan, accommodations at the Dawn Temple are humane. While recreation is encouraged, these pursuits are often less luxurious and include reading, crafting, communing with nature, and physical activity.
Depending on their particular offense, it can take anywhere from months to years before patrons are considered rehabilitated. Jedi who are questioning their path or admit to darker curiosities may only be there for a short time, while a Sith Lord might take years to be deemed as no longer a threat. Those who've committed criminal offenses may be jailed elsewhere, unaffiliated with the Dawn Temple, before choosing rehabilitation - however, this does not guarantee admission to the temple grounds.
