  • Name: Dawa Ua

  • Designation: Non-sentient
  • Homeworld: Mwezi
  • Language: None
  • Average height of adults: Four meters
  • Skin color: Green leaves, blue blooms
  • Hair color: None
  • Breathes: Type I

  • Strengths:
  • Healing applications: Dawa Ua has a unique nectar that can be used in a range of healing properties, and is qidely utilized by the Binadamans. It's nectar, for reasons unknown, promotes rapid tissue regeneration, much like the Bacta found in the greater galaxy. Although, unlike Bacta, it is mildly poisonous if ingested, and can cause nausia, vomiting, diarhea, and lightheadedness. If consumed in very large amounts, it could result in worse intestinial issues, which may result in ulcers, internal bleeding, and death. There is no known treatment for Dawa Ua consumption other then waiting it to clear your system, or pumping the stomach. It also takes about twice as long to heal as Bacta. It does, however, have a numbing effect as well- which is useful for treating wounds. The Dawa Ua's nectar, as stated above, promotes extremely fast cell regeneration, much like Bacta, which makes it very useful for healing a wide range of wounds, from broken bones to papercuts. However, the nectar must be applied direclty on the damaged area, therefore is ineffective for tretaing internal damages.
  • Beautiful smell: Dawa Ua blooms are said to smell like all wonderful scents wrapped in to one.

  • Weaknesses:
  • Plant: As they are just plants, Dawa Ua can't walk, talk, defend, attack, ect.
  • Need for special conditions: Oddly enough, Dawa Ua seems only to grow in the jungles of Situ on Mwezi, and any attempts to plant the bushes in other areas of Mwezi have failed. The jungles of Situ contain a unique mixture of certain minerals, nitrates, and other nutrients that Dawa Ua requires to grow. This means it's pretty much impossible to grow this plant elsewhere, unless, prehaps, someone made a biosphere exactly replicating Mwezi's conditions, and took massive soil samples from Situ.
  • Need for sunlight: Like all plants, Dawa Ua needs sunlight, therfore cannot grow in the thick jungles of Situ- and only grows in clearings, and around the edge of the jungle, where sunlight can easily pierce the canopy.
  • Need for water: Dawa Ua requires a large amount of water to produce it's blooms and nectar.
  • Weak branches: Dawa Ua bushes have relitivly weak branches, as they evolved on a moon with low gravity, and they would be crushed in higher gravity conditions.

  • Distinctions: Dawa Ua are huge bushes with beautiful blue flowers.
  • Average Lifespan: 5 standard years
  • Races: None
  • Estimated Population: Huge amounts all throughout Situ, on Mwezi.
  • Diet: Sunlight, water, and the unique blend of nutrients found in Situian soil.
  • Communication: None

  • Culture: Not applicable

  • Technology level: None

  • General behavior: Dawa Ua has an odd blooming pattern, in which it will absorb the nescisary sunlight for bloom growth in the first light season of a year, and store it. During the first dark season, the buds will form, and during the second light season they bloom, ready to be harvested for their nectar. At the end of the second light season, the seed pods within the base of the blooms will break open, and spread. By the second light season of the next year, the bush begins to grow.

  • History:
  • Soon after the Binadmaans began to colonize the jungles of what were to become Situ, they found the massive bushes fliled with blue blooms there were Dawa Ua. Although, after attempting to use the flowers as food- only to develop ill effects- the Binadamans left the bushes alone for centuries. Some time after the formation of Situ, the Binadamans again looked in to the large bushes that scattered the edges of their jungles, and discovered the medicinal qualities of it's nectar. Originally, Dawa Ua nectar was a very rare commodity, as it had to be grinded out by mortar and pestel, but as Situian technology developed they eventually discovered methods to retrieve the nectar in large amounts, by machine. From there, they began to export, which made Situ a very rich country indeed.
  • Once, a small terrorist group from Irishirni started small riots in Changa, and Kisiwa, claiming that the Situian goverment was planning on destroying the other large nations of the planet by cutting off their Dawa Ua supply, which nearly caused a massive war between Situ and the other two large countries. Although, when Situian soldiers destroyed the small terrorist organization by force, the war was avoided.

  • Notable Player-Characters: None
  • Intent: To populate the animal-void moon of Mwezi with plants, to make an interesting healing plant for Mwezi (without outdoing bacta), and to make Situ's largest export.
Note: I'VE FINALLY CREATED ALL THE SUBS NEEDED FOR THE HEKLOR PROJECT! :D :)

I'll be overseeing this, you may end up with another Judge by the end however.

Firstly, all plants breathe. Please specify this, simply saying "Type I" or the type found upon the planet they inhabit is perfectly fine.

How much would someone have to have for the toxins to be classified as deadly when ingested? What are the symptoms of someone who has ingested too much, and is there a way to combat it?

While there is only one area upon this planet they can grow, would it be possible to grow them elsewhere in the Galaxy?

The lifespan is 5 years, how long does it take for new seeds to gestate and grow? (May seem like a random question, but if at the 5 year mark no others have begun to sprout there'd be a vast shortage of Dawa Ua - most plants grow and die in a cycle - see spring to fall here on Earth)

You state that their diet is sunlight, yet you also state they require water. More so than this, sunlight and water is not enough to maintain plants 'in the real world' so do they require nutrients from the soil etc, such as nitrates?

Part of me really wants you to expand on the history - can you strip it back and rather than state they find AND export do it as a staggered venture. Setting up the business to collect, harvest the nectar and export it would take time. Where have they taken it since? Were there periods of shortage? Has there been attempts at growing them elsewhere? Have battles been fought over which race should grow it?

See to this and mention me when you are done.

EDIT:

To what extent are these capable of healing? Please add in a limit to their effectiveness - can they be used to treat breakages if applied correctly, or is it merely tissue it repairs? Please think about this practically before deciding on a limit, use bacta/kolto as a point of reference whilst taking into account the form this takes and your people's lack of technology (it will be harder to refine thus most likely cannot be injected for precision healing)

[member="Lady Kyros"] - I believe I edited ine verything you asked, ty for the suggestions :D Do tell if anything else needs editing.

Ty for judging!

You still need to explain the following:

How much would someone have to have for the toxins to be classified as deadly when ingested? What are the symptoms of someone who has ingested too much, and is there a way to combat it?
